Property easily accommodated 10 (including 2 small children). Owner, Margaret, conferred regarding use of travel cots and high chairs, all up and ready on arrival. Plenty of space indoors and out. Each bedroom had an en-suite which was excellent. Definitely recommend 😀

Our group of 7 adults spent a week at Alderley House in Autumn 2019. It was pretty much ideal for us as each one of the 4 bedrooms was en-suite. I gave it 9 out of 10 rather than 10 for comfort as we found the sofas somewhat uncomfortable, but this was only a minor inconvenience. There was plenty of space to sit round and chat, both on the sofas and around the large dining table. All of the bedrooms and bathrooms were spacious and comfortable. The location was great as we could easily walk into Bourton on the Water to visit the many lovely shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants, and it was an ideal base for visiting many other attractions in the Cotswolds.

Alderley House is a large house, situated on the outskirts of Bourton - on - the - Water, and ideally located when visiting this part of the Cotswolds.
Our group, which consisted of six persons, were pleased with the house and the attention of the joint owner Margaret who was there to welcome us to the property at our preferred time of arrival.
Everything was there to make it a 'home from home', making us entirely satisfied with our stay.

There were only 3 of us in the cottage, but it would have been comfortable for many more.
There were only 3 of us in the cottage, but it would have been comfortable for many more. We received a warm welcome - the scones jam and cream were delicious. One day we chose to stay in and appreciated the jigsaws we found along with other games and books. An excellent holiday. Thank you.

This is the third year running that our family of seven adults and a dog have booked a week at Alderley House. It is perfectly located a 10-15 minute walk from the bustling town of Bourton on the Water, yet is situated in a quiet residential area.
There are numerous countryside walks from the property and the Cotswold towns of Stow, Buford and Broadway are only a short drive away.
The house is nicely furnished and decorated and the kitchen is fully equipped. The separate utility room houses a washing machine, tumble dryer and freezer. The four en suite bedrooms are very spacious and comfortable. Outside there are lovely sitting areas with ample cushions for the seats. The hosts, Margaret and Steve are helpful and charming and kindly provide a welcome pack and plenty of little extras such as hand soaps and cleaning equipment.
I would highly recommend this lovely house.

Warm welcome by owners and location is great.
Warm welcome by owners and location is great. The property was warm, comfortable and well equipped. I stayed in Bedroom 3 and would have liked a shelf or ledge to place toiletries etc on in the shower room. Would certainly recommend this property.

Fabulous place to stay
We booked this property for our annual ladies getaway weekend and we were not disappointed. From the moment we arrived Steve and Margaret made us feel so welcome. The house itself is lovely, plenty of room for everyone and spotlessly clean throughout. Little touches make it so much easier (like plenty of sticks, logs and coal for getting that cosy real fire going). There is plenty to see and do around the area and we had some lovely meals in the pretty village, which is about 20 mins walk away (we don't walk that fast). We even went to the weekly quiz in the Duke of Wellington pub on Sunday night, which was great. There is plenty of seating in the lounge for all 9 of us and although the kitchen isn't that big, it was perfectly adequate and well equipped. Some of us took a trip to Adams (from Countryfile) farm and others went to Stratford on Avon and other quaint places in the area, wandering round all the delightful shops. All in all, a really great place to stay and we would recommend this house unreservedly to anyone.
