We had a wonderful long weekend at Armswell House. The house is stunning. Everything was catered for and everyone felt instantly at home. We all loved the walks around the area and watching the cows on the farm. Wish we could've stayed longer. PS the Victoria sponge was delicious!

A grand house with gorgeous views and great walks nearby. The strong smell of the dairy farm right behind took a bit of getting used to but worth it for the wonderful rural location.

Had a great week at Armswell, would definitely recommend. The house is huge, all big bedrooms and lots of bathrooms, really well equipped with kitchen stuff and towels etc, and games room / hot tub were great. We were greeted by a homemade cake and the owners also dropped round a bag of pears which was nice.

I had my hen do here last Friday,
We loved every single minute! The beds were extremely comfy, the house was clean. My bridesmaids transformed the room to our party room and it was amazing,
One thing we all thought was, the pull out beds in the 2 rooms were not adequate, these two pull out beds are not comfy and the mattress on there are so thin.
Other than that the whole place is amazing!

Amazing week at Armswell House.
Amazing week at Armswell House. The space for our party of 17 was brilliant and the outdoor space was just what we wanted for the kids. The weather was brilliant so we spent 90% of our time out in the garden and made full use of the bbq and seating area. We had a rainbow themed birthday bash for one of our party who is an NHS worker, and the space was perfect.
Would love to visit again in the future..!

Armswell is wonderful - our sixth autumn stay with friends.
Armswell is wonderful - our sixth autumn stay with friends. I've given the location and local amenities slightly lower scores only because we haven't explored all that much, just walks immediately around the farm, which are lovely. It's a house that's great to spend time in, plenty of space, warm, private, and so comfortable. Everything is thoughtfully organised - the wood store just outside the door, the hose for muddy boots, kindling and firelighters provided for the wood-burner, lots of spare towels. The kitchen is well-equipped with plenty of storage and fridge/freezer space - vital if you're a big group. We loved the owls! Thank you, Julie, for the home-made cake to welcome us every year. We'll be back again.

Fantastic house, loads of space and great having indoor hot tub.
Fantastic house, loads of space and great having indoor hot tub. Kitchen and all utensils were superb, more than enough plates, glasses and cutlery, all of high standard. Beds really comfy, bathrooms all spotless. Being on Dairy farm we were lucky to have views of cows from living room Windows. The owner and staff were really friendly and provided us with lots of information about the farm. Great location for exploring all Dorset has to offer.

A beautiful house ideal for our large family group. Tons of space for the children and adults. Games and hot tub in the basement well used. Plenty of equipment in the kitchen and space for us all to eat together.
The children loved visiting the cows and a great walk to the pub for the adults.
The house was warm and cosy and the beds really comfortable.

This is a great holiday rent especially for large families. We rent every year for approximately 15 people and this is one of the best by far. Would certainly recommend it and everyone at the farm was most helpful and friendly. Great cake and flowers on our arrival. Will definitely go back again

The equipment was top notch.
The equipment was top notch. I went with 8 adults and 5 children and they had a great time.
We couldn't stay outside though cos the farm smell was too much! Which is the only reason I didn't give it 10. But there's not much they can do about that! We could still smell it when we got home.

Spacious comfortable Victorian Hunting Lodge, we immediately felt at home.
Spacious comfortable Victorian Hunting Lodge, we immediately felt at home. Plenty of rooms for all the family. Being adjacent to the farm - the children found much to explore . The owner’s family were very patient with our youngsters and explained so much about a working farm. It was a very relaxing break for all 15 of us. Even the dogs were welcome.
Surrounding countryside breathtaking, many walks from the house- you will hardly meet anyone.
We particularly enjoyed the Brace of Pheasants on several occasions, some even walked there.

We visited as a party of 9 wanting a central location for exploring southern Dorset for a week. Armswell House is large, comfortable, well equipped and secluded in the countryside a few miles north of Dorchester. The jacuzzi and table tennis table were a bonus, as well as the welcoming cake on our arrival.
