This is an ideal place to stay if you want a peaceful and rural location on the Dorset/Wiltshire border at an inexpensive rate.
The bedroom area has a 2 seat sofa and a small dining table and chairs, we found both of these really useful. There is a hair drier and tv. There is no wardrobe but there are coat hooks and several chests of drawers for your clothes.
You conveniently have your own parking spot immediately behind the property.
There is a 2 ring hob, microwave and small fridge in the kitchen area. A thoughtful small glass bottle of milk is provided. Plus a picnic table/bench for use outside the property.
There is a small room for the loo/sink and a separate shower. Towels provided.
A key box meant we didn't actually meet the owners but we spoke via this message service before our stay and on arrival day and they were helpful, friendly and quick to reply.
It was a extremely quiet here throughout our 2 night stay in September.
There is a cute shepherds hut also on the property site and a summer house with a swing seat. We could see a few sheep in the field opposite us.
The Crown pub in the village serves great food (we booked for Saturday night as it seemed popular) and the local shop is handy. I'd also recommend The Udder Farmshop for a decent breakfast (you can book a table online) and your delicious Farmshop food and drink purchases.
Good location for the Verve Festival (Hatch House, Tisbury) that I was visiting. We would stay here again if we were visiting this area. Trips to the Dorset coast didn't seem to be too far from here (hour or less) although we didn't do those on this visit.
Thank you 🙂.
The sink is quite small & there is no roller blind on the fan light window which seems to be open permanently. More a concern when the wc light is on at night rather than in the day.
Not a dislike but just to be noted: the colour changing light in the shower is controlled by a remote control on the shelf in the kitchen.

Lovely location in rural setting
No WiFi available. Wasn't keen on shower location.

Shower was tiny like a cupboard and not a great experience. Generally accommodation was adequate

Just a hello from the hosts. We didn't see a soul.

I loved the quiet location, and the outside space at the front where I could safely leave my bike.
The owners were very friendly and helped me with the induction hob when I had a problem.
Nothing really.

Location was perfect for what we needed for the day. We spent very little time there. We just used it as a base.
It was quite a damp smelling property.
8.0
nice and peaceful and not really any interaction with the host.
There was a dam washing smell but after having the heating on this went away.

Loved that it was like a hotel suite with a little kitchen area. We walked to the local pub which is about 20 minutes away. A lovely place.
Not that it affected us as if was a rainy Saturday in March, but if it was sunny, the sitting out area would be overlooked.

cosy and lovely freshly ground coffee.

Poor insulation, no extractor fan in shower so lots of damp despite all heating being on. Toilet so cold tiles were wet all the time. V cold corner on far side of bed, which is damp and can be smelt at night. Windows pouring with condensation. Extension lead in kitchen not safe. Lights over bed did not work. No light in shower so difficult to see settings. Is it right toilet should be off kitchen with no lobby. Sink drainage pipe must have frozen so we were unable to wash up on last morning.

Easy to find. A little larger than it looked on the photograph. Quiet.
Nothing to do with the property but the pub in walking distance that everyone seemed to rave about was very disappointing. For that reason alone we unfortunately won't be booking Yew Tree View for our trip next year.

Lovely, quiet location. Very comfy and good sized bed. Good TV. Shower had good water pressure. Host helpful with advice for somewher to stop on the way but also left us alone to enjoy ourselves.
My daughter was a little uncomfortable with the shower being in the room but it didn't bother me (it worked well).
