A beautiful, idyllic place to gather and share family memories. There were eleven family members with five more joining us for meals over the course of three days. The property and house were spacious and comfortable, with more than enough supplies to set a table and serve sixteen family members multiple meals with ease. When we found ourselves short of food or in need of a coffee, treat, or additional meat for the barbeque, the farm shop just next door was able to supply us with everything we needed. Rachel, our hostess, was kind and very accommodating, and was able to configure the bedrooms to accommodate the various couples and trios within our family party. The countryside around the farm was beautiful and afforded our family charming walks down hedged country lanes running between sheep and cow pastures. A perfect place to reconnect with family.

What a find.
What a find. Ours was a late family Xmas get together with 12 of us staying at the farmhouse. The welcome from Rachel was the start of a fabulous long weekend. The whole experience was beyond our expectations. The rooms were spacious, well appointed and very comfortable with an adequate number of bathrooms. The dining kitchen was fantastic for our Christmas Lunch. There were plenty of indoor activities to enjoy and our tour of the farm was most enjoyable.

We were a group of 7 adults and 2 dogs, the farmhouse was perfect. So much space, really comfortable and everything we needed. Rachel and Tony are lovely people, they made us very welcome and always had time to chat or show us the animals on the farm. The log burners in this house are wonderful, it was very cold during our stay and they made us very cosy. The area of Dorset is beautiful and so many places to go and lots of walks. Thank you to Rachel and Tony for a great stay.

We had a really lovely long weekend in The Farmhouse.
We had a really lovely long weekend in The Farmhouse. We were celebrating a family birthday and it was the perfect venue for us all to get together (5 adults, 3 children and the dog) for a few days.
The children enjoyed visiting the animals on the farm and we used it as a base for visiting the gorgeous beach at West Bay and other local sites such as the Cerne Abbas Giant and Sherborne for a lovely Sunday lunch.
The kitchen and dining area is perfect for large groups - two fridges, two dishwashers and a large range cooker plus a large table and chairs in the heart of the kitchen meant that we could all sit down together for group meals and enjoy preparing meals together whilst having a glass of bubbles or two!
It was also useful being able to arrange a Sainsbury's delivery for just after we'd arrived so that we didn't have to worry about bringing too many provisions with us.
The lounge is a good size for relaxing and the pool room was well used while we were there. The bedrooms were large and comfy and great to have two ensuites as well as the other bathrooms in the house.
Rachel made us very welcome and we will definitely be coming back.

We had a great time in an idyllic setting.
We had a great time in an idyllic setting. Perfect distress break. Quiet peaceful and surrounded by nature.
We had a party of 12 and the house easily accommodated us all. The owners provided everything we could need. Easy drive to Sherbourne, a nice little town. We visited Sherborne castle too. Highlight of our week, we visited longleat but it's about an hour away. The haynes museum was very cool and not to far.
We would definitely visit again. The children really enjoyed bottle feeding the calves. The complimentary flap Jack's were delicious. There are ducks on the pond and we had a bat that visited.

A truly lovely traditional farmhouse cottage with lots of original features but sympathetically renovated to a very high standard. Extremely spacious for our extended family of 12, the kitchen was well equipped and we enjoyed a couple of home cooked meals.
My nephews loved looking around the farm and really getting to know some of the animals, Nelly the the dog was a particular favourite. The games room was a hit with all on the rainy day we had.
We all had a wonderful stay and would not hesitate to recommend it for the friendly welcome and tranqil surroundings.
