MAIN FEATURES:
-15 MINUTES TO CHARLOTTETOWN AIRPORT
-7 LARGE BEDROOMS, ALL WITH FULL EN SUITE BATHROOMS
-BUILT IN 2001
Our vacation home was built in 2001 and is ideally and centrally located. It is just 10 miles north of Charlottetown, on the North Shore, near the National Park. It was formerly a B&B (Bradley Inn) and now the entire property is available for weekly rentals May to October. Golfing groups really appreciate all the showers when getting ready for their sunrise tee-off times. Discounted rates are available at nearby Stanhope Golf Course, which has been ranked in the top 100 courses in Canada.
Breath-taking beaches are nearby. You can kayak to Blooming Point and enjoy the warm Gulf water and beautiful red sand dunes. We supply beach towels and chairs, umbrellas, picnic coolers, sand toys, bocce balls and kites.
PEI National Park, with beautiful beaches, nature hikes, nature talks, biking paths, lighthouses and fishing harbors are minutes away. We will supply a Park Pass for your car.
After
a day on the golf course,
or exploring some of the best beaches in the world,
or deep-sea fishing for giant bluefin tuna,
or fishing in island streams for trout or salmon,
or “shooting the Morell” in a kayak,
or biking along the Confederation Trail,
or a fun day at Sandspit Amusement Park and Lucy Maud’s Cavendish,
or exploring quaint Victoria-By-The-Sea or Georgetown,
or a day in historic Charlottetown with live theatre, food festivals, music concerts, walking tours, horse-drawn carriage rides, harness racing, a casino, cooking classes, spas, shopping, fine dining and Cows ice cream,
return to Winter Bay and your home-away-from-home.
Watch foxes playing on the lawn, eagles soaring overhead, mussel boats on the bay, or practice your chip shots to the golf flags on our large lawn. Guests have also enjoyed the lawn for football, Tae Kwon Do lessons, kite flying, and Frisbee. Relax with a good book or a game of scrabble by the gas fireplace. Soak in the double whirlpool tub. Enjoy videos or satellite TV in the large media room with its 10-foot screen, or relax on Adirondack chairs and rockers on the large porch to watch the sun set over Winter Bay. Star gazing is amazing from the front lawn.
Common rooms are large, so the whole group can gather for dinner, movie nights, game night, or a “kitchen party.” Our dining room can seat 18 or more. Guests often hire a caterer for a special evening. We can suggest an incredible chef who will prepare a fabulous Island meal and clean up on his way out.
Our home has been used for destination weddings and also for hosting wedding guests. The house could be used for a small wedding reception, or a tent could be sent up on the front lawn for a larger group.

House is in the centre of the island so very easy to make day trips out and about to visit other areas of the province. Close to Charlottetown for shopping and groceries. Close to golf courses and sandy beaches. The house is in a very quiet and peaceful location with great views. Seven bedrooms, all with ensuites makes it easy for everyone. Lots of room for our group of ten celebrating 45 years of friendship!

We can't say enough great things about this home. It was an amazing location for our family reunion with breathtaking views, a relaxing porch overlooking a huge yard for kids to play, central location on PEI, many toys and games for kids, great dining room space... we loved it!!

Had a great time in PEI. The house was well located for most of the activities we did. Went to Brackley Beach twice and it is 20 minutes away. Also went to the drive-in at Brackley. 20 minutes to Charlottetown as well. It was great having an ensuite in each bedroom. All the rooms are large. We played baseball in the yard and chipped some golf balls. You have a great view off the porch. The weather was great all week.

There were 17 of us staying at the cottage and we were comfortable with the space. The place was fully equipped and the furnishings were of high quality. The beds were very comfortable. We had a couple of minor problems initially but Laurie and Sandy resolved them quickly. Communication was great. We had a great holiday. Thanks Sandy and Laurie

Wonderful property and accommodation is top notch! This is our second visit to this lovely location..Both experiences were fabulous. This time it was with17 members of our family ranging in ages from 1-72. Everyone enjoyed the spacious accommodations and the lovely grounds. Lots of family activities both inside the house and outside on the expansive grounds and of course visits to beaches and Charlottetown were many. Highly recommend this location for large groups with varied agendas as the large kitchen and dining areas allowed for flexible eating schedules and night time activities with the wide range of ages we were entertaining. Thank you Laurie & Sandy for the wonderful memories!

Wonderful experience
This house is just wonderful. Set in a great location on PEI, the house is spacious. The rooms all having en-suite bathrooms was really nice, along with the beautiful yard. Our kids loved the basement and getting to watch some movies during the hot afternoons.
Definitely put this place on your list. We can’t wait to come back.

Was simply awesome. Great location and property. The home was larger than it looked in the photos and is so well equipped. The owners were super to deal with. Everything here is 5 stars.

Pei Homestay
The house is very well equipped to have a great time when travelling with multiple families. The abundance of rooms and washrooms makes it easy to coordinate and be on schedule. Also, for a time of rest, this is a wonderful place as well with a lot of activities that can be done within the house compound. Had a great time!

Great place to celebrate a 50th Anniversary!
Our extended family of 13 so thoroughly enjoyed our visit to PEI and this property was a huge part of it. We had our own rooms and bathrooms when we needed “me” time, but we had plenty of room to celebrate and be together. The huge porch and the massive yard gave us so many options. The property is centrally located on PEI so that we could easily make day trips going east, west, or south. We would go back in an instant.

Great family getaway
We rented this house for a 50th anniversary for our whole family. The house has every toy needed for a family stay from toddler to teenager. It’s not a new house but very well laid out. The ensuites in every bedroom is just wonderful. Although we didn’t need it one main floor bedroom is handicapped equipped. It is in a isolated area with no walkable access to beach or water which was not what I was expecting.

Great place for a large group
Really nice having ensuite bathrooms for each bedroom. The house was well furnished and clean upon arrival. The location was great for the golf courses we were visiting. Highly recommend for large groups--we had 9 in our party. The two fridges in the kitchen were really helpful!

Great location, and huge house
Excellent location only 10 min to national park beaches and 20 minutes to Charlottetown for groceries or shopping. Huge property for the kids to play, tons of rooms all with adjoining bathrooms. A very livable space. Dining room worked well as meal space and for indoor game nights and music jams. Two fridges were well used by our party of 14. Basement bedroom was not used by kids because it was very loud (dehumidifier running and all the plumbing sounds in next room). Instead we moved mattresses up to other bedrooms which were all a good size. Overly friendly fox neighbours that were not bothered by us humans.

Great spot for big group
Our group of 11 high school friends in our early 60’s spent a wonderful week at the Summer House. The place worked perfectly for our gang, with the bedrooms all including en-suite bathrooms. The living room was big enough that we could all sit and watch a ball game and the dining room had space for us to enjoy our seafood dinners at the table, and after clean up there was room to continue our euchre tournament every night. The kitchen was well equipped and plenty of room for a bunch of cooks at the same time.
The grounds provided a lovely view of the bay and the front lawn was big enough for bocce, frisbee, golf (chipping) and lots of other games. The house is equipped with lots of 'yard toys’. We saw the eagles sitting at the top of the pines and the foxes came by every afternoon to say hello.
Centrally located and just a quick 20 minute drive into Charlottetown for groceries or dinner. Also close to some nice golf courses. This is a fun spot for a group of friends or a large family gathering. Laurie and Sandy were great to work with.

golf group from saskatoon sk.
18 of us stayed here for our golf vacation. The house was way better than we thought it would be . Each room has bathroom, nice beds and big area to eat. All 18 of us could eat together and we all played games after a great day of golf. This hassle free place helped make this a great vacation. Anyone with a big group would love it . All the golf courses we played were great and lots of site seeing to do.

A wonderful big family style home, We were all on PEI for a wedding and having an ensuite for every room was a real plus, as we were all getting ready at the same time,
We had three generations with us and the house was very well equipped with all we needed,
The furniture was lovely with a real down home feel.
Great place, great value

Just like home
Thanks Laurie and Sandy for sharing your wonderful home with us. The house was huge and offered everything we could possibly need. We had three families sharing the accommodations and everyone enjoyed our time together. We even cooked Thanksgiving dinner for the soccer team. It was so great to get home at night after a day watching soccer games or shopping and sightseeing and sit around the fireplace with a glass of wine. We found the trip into Charlottetown took no time at all, and the location was easy access to the National Park and sightseeing destinations. We are hoping to make it back in 2016 but next time the girls say the medal will be Gold instead if Silver, plus I don't think we ate enough lobsters!! Thanks again for all your help.

Perfect retreat
The house at Winter Bay easily accommodated our extended family. Every bedroom had something special to offer. The living and dining areas were large and comfortable. We found every appliance and gadget we could possibly need in the kitchen! We took advantage of the extras - beach bags and towels; the kite, golf clubs and balls (for the backyard); the park pass; children's toys and wireless internet. There is plenty of room for parking and many things to see and do within an easy drive.

Fabulous getaway
Truly a wonderful spot for extended families and or groups of friends. We did both over the course of two weeks. Family and friends!!! Great location for exploring the island. Easy proximity to Charlottetown where there was so much to do and see. We explored the morell river and saw numerous bald eagles on our kayak venture. Golfed at Crowbush Cove. Went to the singing sands beach. Fished for Cod. Ate tons of oysters, mussels and of course the native potatoes. Rode the confederation trail and hiked miles of beautiful shores. Could hardly have been better. The house is well stocked with adult and children's toys and the media room was superb for watching movies and the World Cup while we were there. The ensuites give everyone the privacy they need.Would recommend it highly to anyone with a group.

Excellent large group vacation home on PEI!!!
We had a few families with kids rent the house for the week and had an excellent time. Having a bathroom for each bedroom was a luxury :) The dining room and living room were so spacious and having the two fridges worked out great for keeping all the different food and drinks we had for the week. The big backyard was fun for all the kids to run around on and the porch/adirondacks were a beautiful place to eat breakfast in the morning. The island location is great being close to the ocean and to Charlottetown. The basement media room was great for when the kids wanted to watch movies and adults could hang out in the living room. We really enjoyed the time there and would go back in a heartbeat--definately recommend.

Great house for a large group!
Eight of us had a PEI golfing holiday in mid September, and this house worked out great! Really handy to have so many bedrooms, all with bathrooms. It made getting out the door very simple. Lots of room to park vehicles and to lounge around. Preparing and serving dinners was easy, the kitchen was well equipped (it even had two fridges!) and there was lots of room in the dining room. It's a great location for accessing the finest courses on PEI....our maximum drive was only 45 minutes. The house is well equipped, peaceful and there are great views from the front deck.
I'd highly recommend it for big family groups or for golfers like us.

Great family vacation
Loved this beautiful spot in PEI. The proximity to the National Park made it super quick and easy to hop over and enjoy the local seafood, the beautiful beaches and the relative solitude compared to the busier places on the island. We travelled with our two kids, both under the age of 3 and my extended family, for a total of 15 people and there was plenty of space for everyone. LOVE the dining room set up with many tables, so everyone always had a seat in the same room, that made it easy to enjoy quality family time. The kitchen had everything you could ever need, the lawn was big enough to play games and just to relax. The owners were super friendly and helpful and even went out of their way to mail us back my daughters favourite blankie when we forgot it there. Nice to know there are such wonderful people in the world. A few things to note: we thought before we came that you could access the beach right from the yard, and that wasnt the case (it was overgrown at the back and too thick to walk through), we found that you could walk to the water in about 10 minutes. It's in a gorgeous natrual area and there are definitely bugs! We werent able to be out on the porch after dinner because the mosquitoes were so bad - not sure if we were just visiting at a bad time/bad year? Other than that it was a fantastic place with great hospitality. Would recommend it for sure.
