We only stayed for a couple nights to recover from the Thakhek loop before heading to Cambodia, the space was perfect for us with free drinking water and boiled water, clean hot showers and spacious room. We got our laundry done here and it’s never smelt so good 100% would recommend, they even got stains out of my white jumper that have been there over a month(I didn’t ask them to).

Fijne rustige omgeving dicht bij het centrum.
Geen negatieve ervaringen gehad.

Bar/ pool table area is nice
Comfy room & clean
Place to refill bottles
Friendly staff who helped us book a tuktuk to the waterfalls
Sink was hanging off the wall with a sign saying don’t lean on it but maybe should just fix it instead

The hostel offers a nice place to sleep. The staff is helpful and the location is fairly close to everything. Compared to what I've heard this is a good option to consider when going to Pakse.
It is not really the place to be if you want to meet a lot of people. The mattress is not really clean, but at least no bedbugs.

We got a private room with shared bathroom and the rooms were clean, spacious and had strong AC. The staff are really nice and helpful. The lobby area is nice as well. Walking distance to lots of food options!
The bathrooms could be a little cleaner, but they are shared so only so much you can do.

Ok location. Water refill station.
Staff weren’t very welcoming when we arrived. We were lead up to our room and the whole foyer area leading up to the room smelt of damp, dog and had a musty smell.
When we got to our room - which was relatively clean, as was the bathroom - we noticed that the air-con unit was leaking on to the counter top and was also draining in to the bathroom. The bed sinks in the middle and is uncomfortable.
The bathroom had a sink hanging off the wall with a sign telling us to not lean on it. The pressure from the taps was non-existent and when in use this awful drainage/sewage smell came from the plug hole.
The private room that we stayed in needs updating and needs to be more warm or welcoming for guests.
The foyer socialising area was dimly lit and had no atmosphere. It had a pool table, but the felt was damaged. In the photos there are pictures of tables where people socialise. These aren’t there anymore and have been moved to the back side room and have been replaced with cheaper looking tables. There is a massive air-con unit in the foyer but it isn’t in use. The whole room gets so stuffy and hot due to there being no air flow. The doors to the building had to be constantly kept shut for the owner’s fear that their dog would run away, (hence the smell of dog in the foyer).
The outside seating area is covered but there are flies EVERYWHERE. Washing down the patio could easily solve this problem.
Looking at the pictures of the hostel, you could see that at one point it was a buzzing place to be and was constantly busy - however this isn’t the case anymore.
I wouldn’t recommend this place at all - unless a stop over is a must, but you can find better places to stay elsewhere.
Really, I would just avoid Pakse altogether.

Old bathroom, the shared bathroom are more nice in comparison with private one

Thai, the front staff person, was exceptionally kind and helpful. She helped to organize a tuktuk to take us around Bolaven Plateau for 2 days
AC did not work well in the room. Not comfortable temperature for sleeping. Eating options were a few blocks away.
4.1
Both the dorms and bathrooms were clean and spacious.
There was the only one ( not vegetarian) choice if you wanted to order breakfast.
4.1
The staff were friendly and helpful.
The place looks nothing like the pictures, these must be from 10 years ago. When we turned up i thought the place had closed down as it was so dark and uninviting. The shared bathroom was dirty & there was never any toilet paper.

Staff were super friendly, clean.

The staff behind the reception were fantastic in helping us with everything that we needed. the room didn’t have a window to the outside but we weren’t staying long so that didn’t bother us. Shower was good.
We booked the bus to Thakhek with them. we found out from other tourists on the bus that we had paid £5 more per person than them, so in total we paid £10 more as we were two people. We thought this was a big difference. if you want to save some money then I recommend looking elsewhere for your onward bus tickets.

The young man who runs the front desk is delightful and helpful. He /they make a good effort to provide a nice atmosphere in the common areas which are otherwise pretty dismal!
We had a private room on the third floor which was very basic, uncomfortable bed, noisy (roof overhang flapped in wind) and the shared bathroom was on second floor. Found MUCH better value at a nearby guesthouse.

only two toilets, there could be more

Had a great time staying here. The staff was the best part, really helpful and caring.

It was a bit more expensive than most places in Laos, but you get what you pay for. Really nice and modern facilities and probably the most comfortable bed in Laos I slept in. One staff member speaks English really well and was very helpful.
