Tegenover de Gibbon experience. En een prima ontbijt restaurant schuin aan de overkant. Hard bed

Goede ligging, aardige mensen.

Beetje gedateerd. Slechte communicatie bij de aankoop van tickets voor de minibus. Hierdoor hebben we uren moeten wachten op het vertrek van de trein en de extra verdienste ( zo’n 20 euro op twee tickets) voor de hoteleigenaar waren niet in verhouding.

Comfortable stay for the night and very helpful staff

Thaveesinh Hotel seemed central and the staff were incredibly friendly and very helpful.

Happy days travelling.

Lady on arrival was very helpful during check in. Also ran the currency exchange booth next door, all was very good service. Bathroom and accommodation basic but clean enough and ok for a short stay. Yes I would stay again.

For this price for your one-night stay before/after GR / so nice.

It has AC, hot water and clean bed-linen. What else do you need in front of GE office and after coming back from jungles? :) The hostess organised all the transportation and tickets for us. Possible pay by visa. And she has money exchange with average rate also.

So noisy. And AC just over the bed. So it is too cold too sleep with AC on, but too hot - with off. The pillows are too thick and hard.

We booked this hotel as a stop off point after the border and before we started The Gibbon Experience. It was a basic hotel and the room was a bit small but it was good value for money. Also the staff were very friendly and helpful

Elegant guesthouse with spacious comfortable room

Beautiful majestic building with elegant feel. spacious rooms and our first stay had the most comfortable bed we’ve slept in after 2 months in Thailand and Laos. Lovely lady running the guesthouse helped us with bus tickets. Good location in main backpacker guesthouse area and perfect if you are doing the gibbon experience as their head office is directly opposite.

Good help with planning transfers en trips.

Very helpful staff, the lady helpt us with planning and transport to Luang Namtha, super. Early in the morning the monks come by for alms round, good view from the hotel's balcony's. Nice and quiet town with 5 min from the hotel a lovely restaurant called Daauw (also vegan pizza) with beautiful sunset view.

Sorry we were only here for one night...

Good for layover

Easy stop just across the border in Laos. We were headed to the Shompoo slow boat the next day and this place worked great for a quick/cheap layover. The owner is very friendly and likes to chat. FYI, SUPER easy Laos SIM card place right up the street at another hostel.

Beds were not the best, but for the price it can't be beat.

the staff was very good

the bed was so hard, the tv is bad working condition needs more plugs in the the bed room and needs plugs in the bath room for elctronic brush charger. The room needs to be updated.

Great for a stop over

- Staff were amazing - Great place to stay before you catch the slow boat - Easy to book slow boat and transports through the hotel - Gave us a free bunch of bananas before we left for our long journey

- Would like the shower to be warmer

Location good.. But much choice in Houayxay ... Only a one night stop over. Sunset over River from top floor beautiful.

Room very old-fashioned ... And smelt a little of cigarettes ...

very friendly staff and free coffee and fruit

the city itself is not very attractive: 80 % is closed or abandoned and no motorbike for rent.
