This home is absolutely gorgeous and had many extra touches that were so nice and above most host homes. We loved the spacious home with first floor bedroom. The master suite was beyond expectation, extra large and roomy, oversized tub and plenty of closet space and even make up desk.Kitchen was fully stocked and even had some basics and spices available for use. The deck...oh the deck! Such a beautiful space we all gravitated to for dinner and sitting around the fire table watching the sun sink below the mountain view. the bathrooms also had several items to make the stay easy and if we had forgotten anything it was there and available to us.
After checkout the cleaning team found a stuffy animal that was accidentally left behind, the owner sent a photo and when we confirmed it was ours a very happy little girl got her stuffy toy returned in the mail with a cute little card too! Very nice owners.
PROS: LOCATION (close to town but felt miles away), quiet neighborhood, view for sunset was breathtaking, fully stocked kitchen, very clean, comfortable beds, fireplace in living space, plenty of seating on deck and fire table, gas grill for cooking, top notch laundry room with detergents/softeners, plenty of bathrooms, games provided for entertainment of kids.
CONS:only minor con was there was a "downstairs" tenant (walkout basement apartment) We tried to be conscious of walking quietly but with wood floors and kids it was tough. They never complained so I guess we did ok!

Loved the location to go North and South of Anchorage to explore. Very well stocked for those flying in to tour. Beautiful outdoor spaces and views. Very comfortable beds. Loved it!

Excellent property. We chose it because we wanted to tour the Alaskan Native Cultural Center, Iditarod Headquarters, and Independence Mine State Park, all within relatively convenient trip distances. Everything you see on the property listing is as it is onsite. Host Cynthia was timely in responding to the few questions we had.

This place far exceeded our expectations! I don’t think there could have been a more beautiful view! And the house itself was so beautiful and well supplied with more than we needed! We even had a digital screen with all our instructions and information that we needed! We would definitely return to this place, and will pass on the word to friends and family who might want to visit the Anchorage area.

We enjoyed our time in this home. It has great long-distance views of the mountains and water from the back porch. The property is very lush and landscaped well (when we stayed during summer).
The lower level appears to be occupied and is not accessible from the upper portion of the home which we stayed in, but this did not negatively impact our stay in any way.

Good location for attractions near eagle River and north east Anchorage.

The house was absolutely wonderful. We couldn’t believe all of the toiletries in the bathrooms, the food bars and oatmeal in the kitchen and this is all on top of the beautiful house and the great views. Never got to sit on the deck as it was rainy/wet or we just got back too late but this was an A+ stay. Thank you Cynthia.

My family's stay at this property was wonderful! The description of this property was completely accurate - clean, well-appointed, amazing views, close proximity to activities and wildlife sightings. I had lots of communication with the owner who was great to work with - very helpful, informative and kind. There's always a certain degree of risk when renting a property but this was a home run. I highly recommend and will be booking again in the furutre.

This is one of the best Vrbo's we have stayed at. Well stocked, updated, clean, easy communication and perfect location. Thank you so much for making our stay for a family of 6 so comfortable during out stay in the Anchorage area.

This lovely home in cute Eagle River had everything our family needed - spotlessly clean with spacious bedrooms and fully stocked bathrooms, a gourmet kitchen with all we could need to prepare meals, and a comfortable living room and outdoor space for relaxing and taking in gorgeous views of Cook Inlet and the mountains beyond. We even had some wildlife viewing! Cynthia was quickly responsive to all communication before and during our visit. The location provides a great base for all the day trips we took to enjoy beautiful Alaska. We would highly recommend this beautiful home, and hope to visit again.

This property is wonderful. We have stayed in the apartment previously and now the house. Cynthia is fantastic. The property is fabulous and in a great location. Close to everything and just really wonderful. The house has so many amenities to list. Just very relaxing and you feel at home. Highly recommend and we will stay here again when in the Anchorage area.

The house was clean and in a great location. It had everything we needed and more. Cynthia has really provided everything in the house that a guest would need from energy bars to laundry detergent. It was central location so was ideal for us exploring Anchorage, Palmer, eagle river to Glacier view.
Thank you Cynthia for making our first Alaska stop of our 2 week trip so memorable . Best Regards Vish

The home was well stocked with great views. No blackout curtains which is hard for summer. The water pressure is soooo bad! There were a couple of times the water would shut off during your shower. You can’t flush the toilet or run any appliances if you are in the shower. Sometimes it was just a trickle of water out of the sink faucet. Very hard to wash my hair in the shower. I’d really think twice before staying there again just because of the water pressure. It was super frustrating. There is a unit in the basement so I’m not sure if that is some of the water pressure problems. Homeowner said it is a water filtration system that kicks on randomly. I don’t think that is it at all. We were very mindful of not running any appliances or even flushing the toilet when someone was in the shower. This problem really needs to be addressed.

The home is spacious, clean and comfortable. The furnishings and decor are tastefully upbeat. The kitchen is generously supplied with snacks, protein bars, candy, teas, coffeed and all the latest appliances. Overall, the property is modern and well taken care of. And the view is outstanding! We wish we could never leave. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

This is one of the nicest places that I have stayed in my travels and was either recently updated or very well taken care of. The first level was spacious with a fully stocked (snacks as well) kitchen, large dining area, large living room with a gas fire place, and a large deck with great views of the mountains and water. You can also see the mountains and water from both living and dining rooms through large, wall size windows. The master suite on the second level is really big with a ton of natural lighting. King bed was super comfortable and there are sitting chairs/couch and a large walk in closet. The large master bathroom had a large jacuzzi tub and a shower. All of the bathrooms were stocked with toiletries, we pretty much only needed our own toothbrushes. The two smaller bedrooms were also nice with comfortable beds.

We can not say enough good things about this place. The views and the sunsets are amazing. The place is super comfortable and feels like home. The beds were very comfortable and nice to relax in after long days out enjoying Alaska. The host has snacks to take out on trail with you or just enjoy there, We definitely used them. There was coffee, cider and hot chocolate there too. We met Mike the last part of stay and was great to talk with. We would highly recommend this place to others and would rent again.

Loved our stay! Beautiful view. Quiet neighborhood. Excellent accommodations. Home stocked with everything we could possibly need.
Only problem we had was water pressure and hot water. 6 of us had to space our showers. Wasn’t a deal breaker at all. Would not stop me from staying here again‼️

House was extremely well supplied, best of any home rented. Only issue was water pressure and hot water. Once we got used to working it was ok.
Would highly recommend for anyone starting in Anchorage area.

This property is amazing from the location and the views. The house is very well stocked. The house was so clean and comfortable. It was a home away from home. Communication with the owner was top notch. We will be back next year. Thank you Cynthia for your wonderful property so we could make family memories

We had a group of 6 staying, 2 couples and mother/daughter duo, and we stayed 9 days.
The beds were so comfortable and ready for any kind of weather. There were ample pillows and blankets in all the rooms for sleeping as well as in the living room to use there or out on the deck. We spent a couple mornings and several later evenings sitting and enjoying the views as it did not get dark until way after we turned in.
The kitchen was stocked with the basics so we just had to get our main food supplies at Wal-Mart that was just down the road.
We did a lot of touring and it was nice to grab the cooler and ice-packs to stock up so we didn't have to eat out every meal.
The washer and dryer were very large and we were able to do laundry mid week.
We were able to sign in on the smart TV and watch our own streaming programs or basic direct TV in the owners suite and living room. Would have been nice to have smart tvs to stream in the other rooms too.
The home was extremely clean and well cared for. We had an issue with water pressure and Cynthia had their maintenance person swing by after work to clean out filters and such and it was immediately better. She always answered very timely when we had a question. She was great to work with for booking as we were having issues with the credit card processing the booking and it took a couple tries.
If I ever head to Alaska again I would definitely see if I could stay there or in the lower smaller level.
We knew people were there at times but barely heard them.

We stayed here for 3 nights before heading to Homer and Seward. Eagle River is a great place to have family hikes, a wonderful location if you want to be near Anchorage but not in the city. The views were incredible and Eagle River Nature Center had beautiful hikes (as well as Chugatch State Park). The residence was perfect, views amazing, and Cynthia was easy to work with. The place was stocked with things that most VRBOs dont' have, to make your stay easier, like zip lock bags, spices, etc etc. You can tell this is a VRBO owner who cares and wants her guests to have a nice time. We would stay here again 5 stars all the way.

Everything was as advertised, and then some. This great property is well taken care of and has more amenities than you would expect from a vacation rental.
We are very happy with the experience.

Beautiful home located in wooded area with a mile of views from the large window and deck. Home is in the perfect location to travel to different regions of the southern state. The house also comes with all the kitchen gadgets, linens and check out the stocked staples before you purchase grocery. Home is located 15 minutes for all the local shops, located in Eagle River. My favorite things were: 1. The Fireplace, warms you up and is lovely to watch the view from the big picture window. 2. The Jacuzzi, amazing view to sit back relax and winddown after a day of snowmobiling, glacier helicopter tours or long drive down to the Denali National Park. Thank you for your hospitality! Host is prompt and courteous with any questions.

This was the worst vacation rental after years of staying in rentals. The view is nice and the home is big. The host offered snacks and toiletries, including an overwhelming number of tampons and panty liners (SO many tampons).
However, the 1980’s-era house has been very poorly maintained. Only the kitchen and living room are updated. The house was very cold and drafty and we had to wear winter coats inside. AK winters are cold, but the windows are old and poorly insulated. The walls are paper thin, and we heard the downstairs renters often.
The jacuzzi looks 40yo and rarely used. We tried to relax in a warm bath, but the pump malfunctioned as soon as we turned it on, spraying water onto the floor. We pressed the simple control button repeatedly, but the jets did not turn off for several minutes.
The host abruptly canceled our reservation the next day at 8am with no warning. We were ordered to "vacate immediately.” We attempted to discuss the situation, but she refused to talk to us and again demanded we "leave immediately." It was 8F out and snowing, and we were traveling with two 6 yr olds. She created an inconvenient, unpleasant situation for no rational reason.
She attempted to blame us for "negligently" using a 40 yr old tub and made other excuses to justify kicking us out with no discussion. Vrbo researched the situation, vindicated us, and issued a full refund on account of the unjustifiable cancellation.
If you decide to stay here, have backup lodging secured.

Cynthia’s Eagle River home is the most well equipped home we have ever stayed in. There were so many extra amenities to make it feel just like home. This home is also in a great location (with stunning views), making it easy and quick to get to all of the adventures Alaska has to offer. Cynthia was quick to respond to any of our needs. Do not hesitate to book this spectacular home! We will definitely be staying here again!

I planned this trip with my son so we could visit my nephew who is stationed at Elmendorf AFB in Anchorage. When I came across this property I realized it was much bigger then I needed for 2 people but figured if I was going to travel 11 hours to get there I was going to make the most of it. The description is very accurate and although the pictures are great. they don't quite depict the excitement of seeing it first hand. The view off the deck is breathtaking when the sun shines off the snow covered peaks.
The property is very clean, spacious, and thoughtfully stocked with the necessities you may need during your stay. Shopping is convenient at the local Walmart if eating in is part of your itinerary. Eagle River is a nice clean town with some really great Micro Breweries. Highly recommend Odd Man Rush if that is your thing.
In summary this rental far exceeded my expectations, Ms. Rogers was a wonderful host, and when I go back to Anchorage I know I don't have to look any further then here.

This property has everything a group could ever want -- it is very clean and comfortable, has a great location and terrific views. It is also the best stocked house I have ever rented. From Kleenex to toiletries to snacks, this house has it all.

We needed a home away from home and this house was beautiful. The views are spectacular from the back deck and the house had all the amenities we needed. It’s a 20 minute drive into Anchorage and a 5 minute drive up
The hill to the trailhead for Mt. Baldy!
We had to connect with Cynthia a couple of times for a few minor things and they were there immediately communicating with us to resolve our issues.
The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking dinners and all the utensils to work with. There were extra spices and snacks if you needed any extras.
All the bathrooms had shampoos and conditioner, lotion, toothpaste, etc. it was awesome.
When we return we will definitely look to stay here again. We had restful time while we were here.

To summarize in just one word: "Perfect!" Cynthia has a lovely home, in a great location with a fabulous view! It is very well appointed and stocked with everything you'll need, including lots of extras in the kitchen (water, snacks) and bathrooms (toiletries). Cynthia is a wonderful host. She's extremely responsive, helpful and friendly. One of the best hosts we've had! She even had her groundskeeper go out of her way to make sure we didn't run out of propane for the great outdoor dining table with a 'fire pit'! We'd definitely stay here again if we're in the area.

What a great place to stay for a week. We saw a bear in the neighborhood one evening and a mama moose with her 2 babies in the pond across the street another day. Kitchen had everything we needed. Linens were brand-spanking new. Decor was simple and uncluttered. We would stay here again in a 💗beat.
