I rented this cabin for the weekend to celebrate my birthday. The location is close to the Mountain, providing quick(er) access to the hood Ski resorts. Store and a few shops new by for anything you might need. The hot tub & sauna we're a great hit after a cold day on the mountain. I was super happy it was dog friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed the surroundings, the warm fire and a cozy place to stay for the weekend. Will definitely book again for future adventures!

Fire place needs some work but other than that it was nice.

Enjoyed cabin. But had to wait 45 min on Christmas to get in house because keys were not in lock box which I had the code for. And also hot tub was locked and did not have key to unlock it. Vacasa came mid second day to cut lock. Lastly, all beds upstairs are twins. There was no double as advertised. 3rd floor loft bed was actually smaller than twin. We adapted. But these are unforced errors.

Everything was clean and fantastic, meeting the needs of my group. Kitchen accommodations were top notch. There was mushrooms growing in the door going to the hot tub, which my group found cute and fascinating, but may mean the owner needs to chwck the structure.

Spacious and clean. Hot tub and grill have been taken care of Nicely. Driveway was ok with a AWD, just don’t stop.

Would have liked 1 TV. Great amount of space and options for relaxing. Hot tub and fireplace was great.

Loved the hot tub though it could have been hotter.

Beautiful house in an amazing setting, sauna and hottub were nice and loved the big kitchen and porch.
I slept in a different bed each night and they all left me in pain so I suggest it’s looked into after being mentioned as many times as it has in past reviews. My only problem with this home is the amount of cleaning fee you are charged yet arrived to the bare minimum if at all any cleaning being done. Shorts and other personal items from a former guest left where they were taken off on the floor awaiting me on arrival. Then the bathroom downstairs was not restocked or cleaned either, hair all over shower and sink and half used toiletries opened and left. We were not left a single disinfectant or trash bag. In all the house was amazing had potential it’s the service and cleanliness that needs immediate attention.

Look, was this a roof over our heads? Yes. The shower was hot, the stove/oven/fridge worked, and it was cozy. Is the place as advertised? For us, unfortunately, no.
I recommend arriving in the daytime or having your flashlight handy for check-in. The motion sensor light is above the awning, so it goes off, which makes entering the code difficult. Having the correct code in the check-in instructions would have been nice, but it wasn't a deal breaker.
There were a couple of boxes of trash awaiting us in the entry way. Upon additional inspection of the home, we found the dishwasher unusable (the racks looked as if they were thrown in the dishwasher with broken parts) and the kitchen floor sticky. Ok, not the end of the world, but annoying.
We were excited at the prospect of a hot tub, but when we opened the lid, we saw it also completely unusable. The water was a murky, brown color with an empty beer can at the bottom (not to mention the mildewy smell). The grill was found uncovered, used (and not cleaned), and with used grill utensils sitting to its side. The next morning, we saw more empty beer cans in the back yard along with some used toilet paper, which is gross.
The property is managed by Vacasa. We were in contact with them via e-mail which received canned responses. We also were in contact via text (again with the same, canned responses). I did call once, sat on hold, and finally helped (this was at check-in).
Bottom line: it's fine.

Nice getaway. Good location for trails. Very comfortable, but listen to warnings about the driveway!

We loved our stay at the chalet. It was clean, the kitchen was well stocked and the linens were clean and plentiful.

We like this property a lot. Although it is a bit older and some appliances don’t work perfectly, we always enjoy our stay here. This is our second time.

Just the perfect mountain wooden cabin. Exactly what we wanted! Loved the view and hot tub!

Our stay was one filled with relaxing in the sauna, hot tub and the talking walks in the Old Growth Forest that literally felt like a dream! Make sure you have 4 wheel drive for the steep driveway. The beds were not comfortable but for 3 days in the quiet we were able to balance that with a wonderful stay in this cabin.

We enjoyed the spacious house, well supplied kitchen, sauna, hot tub and comfortable rooms. It was an easy drive to Timberline for our skiers and special birthday dinner at Timberline Lodge. We would return.
Both families had AWD so the driveway was accessible to us but would be too steep without AWD just as the instructions stated.

Our family spent a long weekend at this cozy home in the woods. I loved the big windows looking out into the lush forest. The fireplace, sauna & hot tub were fun. We hiked the Alpine Trail, visited Timberline and played board games. Be aware that you'll need to provide your own firewood beyond the first fire and you'll likely need to provide your own toilet paper beyond the starter rolls.

It was very quiet and peaceful

When we arrived the house was reasonably clean. Desperate need of detail cleaning. Hot tub had hair and what appeared to be toilet tissue all around the water intake screen. I personally refused to use it. Bought plenty of firewood at the Thriftway like the ad suggests for outdoor fire pit. Only to find a note inside saying no fires in the pit due to fire ban. Would of been nice to know this before hand. Another note asks to kindly remove shoes in the house. The 1st floor hallway has several dog stains that needs removing. We had to keep our dogs away from the area for fear of further markings.

The hot tub and sauna were wonderful features of the house. We also enjoyed having a real wood burning fireplace, this made our cozy night after skiing on the mountain special. House was clean and organized. I would go back.

could use some love
The good;
Location is awesome and close to the mountain.
Great yard with fireplace and old growth cedar trees
We loved using the sauna
Star gazing
The house is bigger than we thought
Thank you for wifi!!!
Things that could use some love
The door knob to the bathroom lock did not function properly and several of us got locked in at different times.
The hot tub needs to be treated before use, we got in at night to find a pretty gross murky sight in the morning. I think it needs a new filter pump.
There are two stereos, one being a tape player that has its buttons pushed all the way in not functioning. The other needing a double ended aux cord.
The burners are very crooked and we had difficulty cooking food on them because of the uneven heat. Grandma requested a pan to cook pancakes on.
When it was time to leave and take care of garbage the cans were all the way full with the previous renters trash.
Overall we had a great time
Thank you

Clean, rustic rental, perfect mountain getaway!
We had a great, peaceful time. Everything was very clean and in working order. It’s nothing fancy or high tech, but is a great place to get away from everything and have a fire and soak in the hot tub. Tons of nearby trails. No wifi or good cell service but that was expected. Service was spotty in the house, but could still text and make calls in most of the rooms. If you can’t unplug from your devices and just enjoy the trees and the people you’re with then this place is probably not suited for you. Will definitely be staying there again.

Great place to disconnect
Cute older cabin.. I loved the sunken living room next to the fire place. It was perfect for lounging and hanging out.
There was no wifi which is totally great to disconnect… However, there was a tape and cd player, neither of which worked for music and there was no selection of music (except Christmas cds) even if they did work. So it would have been nice to be able to play a little music.
The hot tub was a little mirky and there was a questionable stain on one of the throw blankets..
The game selection was as old as the house so I am glad I brought my own..

Cozy digital free cabin
We had a great vacation away from tv, phones, computer. Was an incredibly relaxing time to be in nature and enjoy the company of friends. I loved the complete kitchen, I was able to cook, bake, eat together as a family. We were also across the street from Lolo’s pass and got to snowshoe around the area. I highly recommend this cabin if you want to relax with friends away from the wi-fi world.

Chalet
Not great due to the fact that a lot of issues with the house and amenities. Mainly a lot not working and or breaking down in the process of the first night being there. Hard to get ahold of anyone there also since had to drive 3 or 4 miles for cell service and with no internet service hard to get ahold of anyone. I would not recommend this spot for anyone with young kids.

Relaxing forest retreat
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this clean, comfortable, well-appointed home in the woods. Waking up to views of trees, ferns & snow through big picture windows was a joy. The hot tub & sauna (with a big basket of enormous towels) were a nice finish to a day of hiking and sledding. Plenty of space to curl up with a book, play boardgames or watch the fire in the stone fireplace.

Great forest access!
This is a great place to access the many nearby trails! We enjoyed trails that were perfect for littles and more challenging trails. The hot tub and sauna were very relaxing.

Great space!
The hot tub was so relaxing after a day of hiking along the Salmon River. There were plenty of towels and the kitchen had all the cookware and appliances we needed. I would definitely come back!

Nice Cabin, few issues
Nice cabin in the woods, somewhat secluded, it is well stocked and feels nice. A few issues, the BBQ grill will probably need to be replaced as it is old and rotted out. More importantly the propane tank was empty! The oven did not work well, it undercooked 1/2 of our pizza and burned the other half. The hot tub is private on one side and not private on the other side.

The location is ideal for the area. We were disappointed based on the following:1. Most windows are fixed some operable windows are missing screens so no cross ventilation. It’s problematic if temperature is above 90. FYI, no air conditioning.2. No instructions on hot tub. It was set at 107 and took two hours to lower to a temperature we could tolerate.3. Since no WiFi we were unable to retrieve any information given on web site on information for the area, restaurants or hiking trails. A written sheet was found dated in the 1990’s on hikes. Would recommend stopping at the Ranger Station in Zig Zag on hiking trails.

Quaint Mountain Cabin
The cabin itself is absolutely amazing and offers so much enjoyment. We wish there would have been wifi or cell service but sometimes it’s good to unplug. There was no TV but we knew that so we brought a projector and some DVD’s and had a blast. My only critique is that standing in the back patio, the neighbor to the right is an obnoxious hill billy who decided to blast Alice In Chains and run his leaf blower first thing in the morning and then burned mid morning which smoked us out a bit. And the neighbor to the left was very rude. Other than that, the place was perfect.

Great stay to break away
The house was perfect for a ski trip get away. Using the hot tub after a day on mount hood was a perfect way to end the day. My only complaint is that all of the games/puzzles were missing pieces.

Will Be Coming Back Again
This home is amazing. We enjoyed the Dry Sanua, and the Hot tub so much. We had all the kitchen tools we needed. All my friends that came with me enjoyed the stay as well. I would recommend this house.

Good place to disconnect
This was a great place to bring the kids and just disconnect from all things wireless. We were able to spend some quality time, play board games, and enjoy the hot tub and sauna!
