About this house rental
Seaside historic Lewes, Delaware charms visitors all year long with quaint shops, restaurants, art galleries, maritime history, gardens and beaches. Walk/ bike to all of these. Bike path at end of street connects to Rehoboth and beaches. Soak up the full Lewes experience by staying close to town in this vintage Victorian house. A block to dinner at the Buttery or coffee at Azafran. Drink that extra glass of wine and save your meter money for you can easily walk home. We just added a ping pong table in the garage!
Come morning prop your feet up on the porch railing and experience this small town wake up. Snow geese honk overhead, boats toot horns and people will wave and say 'good morning.' Or nap hammock style under the pine bough in the secluded backyard garden. Walk and fish, boat or kayak in the Lewes canal. Cross over the canal bridge a half mile to the bay beach with a light house view. Hop the nearby ferry to Cape May to see more Victorian architecture and stores where you can pay sales tax. Then come back to Lewes to buy that expensive diamond necklace for there is no sales tax here in Delaware. Go to the Rehoboth outlets and save more especially off season. But don't forget we are at the beach so go the mile to Cape Henlopen Park. The surf, sun and sand are our main attraction. Here miles of pristine Atlantic beach stretch from the Cape to Rehoboth. You can even bring Fido to some. Swim in season, walk and collect shells or view migratory birds all year long. Cape Henlopen has miles of nature, bike trails and bird watching areas.
Too much fun in Lewes to list. We are the 'civilized beach' so come, slow down drive 25mph or park your car and don't drive. Here you can walk and bike everywhere!
We have a Rental license, displayed in side, from city of Lewes. House has all safety requirements and is routinely inspected by the city. License # R2300146.
New this year is we are providing towels and sheets!

Thank you for opening your home to us in Lewes. We had a wonderful time. The outdoor shower was amazing. The only place I showered the entire time. And all the flowers around the property were just beautiful. The house is the perfect spot. Centrally located to pretty much everything via walking and biking. And we did a lot of biking! Looking forward to the next trip already!

My husband and I felt at home in the rental. It was clean and the size and location were excellent. It was within walking distance to town, yet removed enough that we weren’t exposed to noise. We greatly enjoyed hanging out in the beautiful backyard with our dog, Laverne. We would rent it again without hesitation.

We loved our stay at this charming home. The added amenities you don’t often find in a rental was a huge plus. The owner was very accommodating and her communication was consistently super quick. Spent every minute we were home on the lovely covered porch. Neighbors were all super friendly. The fenced in backyard is perfect for your fury family members. The walk to the many fantastic restaurants and shopping is literally minutes away. We will definitely be back.

If location is important to you rent this home! If shiny and new is important to you then this isn’t the home for you. Walkable to town and to the best baked goods at Station on Kings. At the end of the block is the bike path and the municipal lot which has two free EV chargers (Tesla and other). We drove to the beach but it is less than a mile. The host goes above and beyond to ensure a positive stay with all the little things provided… coffee, tea, paper goods, cleaning supplies (sufficient quantities for at least a few days), linen, towels, night lights, easy access to outlets … It is a vintage home through and through. The older remodel makes things quirky - uneven floors, bedroom within a bedroom, layers of paint on paint. The furnishings are a mixture of flea market finds and modern pieces. The home is squeaky clean, great mattresses/beds, strong Wi-Fi signal and beautiful backyard to laze away the day. Ample common spaces with a separate TV/family room and living room. Nice neighborhood, friendly neighbors, church/cemetery across the street. Several off street parking options - in driveway, church parking lot except Sundays and the municipal lot. The listing and pictures are accurate. We would absolutely rent again.

Very cozy and comfortable. The owner is very nice, and communicates quickly. She left us a bottle of wine, and there were paper products all throughout the house. The sheets and towels looked brand new. There is AC, fans and night lights throughout.

Our family celebrated my son’s 30th with a weekend in Lewes. We were fortunate with great weather and enjoyed gathering outside on the patio. The kitchen was well-stocked for cooking, and we enjoyed cooking outside. The home is close to town and a short walk or bike ride to the beach. The ad says to bring sheets and towels, but we were surprised to see that the beds were made and towels provided. Wonderful weekend in a lovely home! Lynn

Clean, simple, charming, many wonderful touches made this place a gem. Nightlights in every room, make up mirrors, loads of coffee and tea options, well appointed kitchen, softest towels ever, lots of space for the kids to separate and get away. And we could do an easy walk to 2nd street for dinner. This house is really a special find.
