Great property. My family and I have been to Dauphin Island several times. We all agreed this was the best one yet. House was clean, well equipped and a great location. Fishing was good as well as the daily nap. Had a great much needed time to chill.
3.0
The location to the beach is great. The house pro's are the two decks - very roomy and some coverage, the upstairs room with the bunk beds and two bedrooms is great for family with kids and of course the short walk to the beach. The cons are the couch down stairs is just not good - very dated and uncomfortable, the dishwasher did not seem to clean the dishes very well (had to rewash), the bathroom downstairs has a very small shower and the water can not be adjusted for anyone under 6 feet, and the microwave was so so.
We did have a good vacation but I think that some issues should be addressed.

Absolutely wonderful vacation! The location was perfect and a beautiful place to be with family! The island businesses and people were a pleasure to interact with! We had a couple of issues which we addressed with Vacasa, and I hope that they will ensure that future visitors will benefit.

The house was just as the pictures showed. Amazing views, a family would love it there. It was just a long overdue honeymoon for us and mimosas were good too. Thank you for such a clean setting.

PROS-Property was super clean and has a gas grill that was wonderful. Bed was super comfortable. Close to the water.
CONS-Down stairs furniture isn’t comfortable, you will need extension cords in order to use alarm clock and nightstand lamps in downstairs bedroom. And it does NOT have cable tv as advertised. The only channels you get are the major local networks. And none of the tvs are smart tvs so you can’t stream anything either, makes for long days when you have bad weather.

We had a wonderful stay at Sweet Home Alabama! The proximity to the beach and beach views were phenomenal! The house was clean and well stocked with everything you need to have a relaxing beach vacation and for cooking at the home. The house has 4 plastic deck chairs that worked great on the beach and sand toys which our young kids enjoyed. Would definitely recommend!

First time to the island. Very laid back and relaxing. Went for spring bird migration and to walk along the west side of the island.

Wonderful beach front home!

My wife and I really enjoyed the layout, closeness to the beach, and all the in home amenities. Both decks offered great views along with 360 degree water views from the bay side to the gulf. Looking forward to going back.

It’s on the beach and a beautiful view!

The house was amazing, comfortable and clean. It was stocked with extra blankets and pillows. The kitchen was very well stocked with dishes and utensils. There was only 3 chairs for the beach although it stated 6 in the welcome book. The beach was just a few steps away and was uncrowded. The only thing I would change would be the outside shower. It really needs to be enclosed for privacy as you get a lot of sand in your suit when swimming and sitting on the beach. We could not get the living room TV to work but my husband fixed it. The WIFI network provided was not right but we figured it out. We will definitely be back again.

This house was perfect for a few days of relaxing! Plenty of beach in front and a nice private driveway and parking area, which was a nice bonus! The house itself is updated and well kept. Everything was very clean. Thank you for opening your beautiful home!

Loved the location and the home. It was clean and had great kitchen equipment. My grands loved the deck box that was filled with beach toys. It basically has two living rooms and that was a nice perk! I would stay here again but bring a mattress topper with me.

We loved our trip to Dauphin Island and our stay here. We were beachfront, steps away from the water. The house was perfect! I love that the beaches are much less crowded here.

Just steps from the water! Can’t say enough good things. Definitely a 5 gold star. We will be back!

I was highly impressed and very satisfied with the location and the beach house itself. The pictures listed are very accurate as to what it looks like. It was very clean, comfortable and spacious for my family of five. I loved that it was right on the beach. We saw dolphins swimming in front of the home each day. The house was very well stocked and maintained. It had everything we needed for our week long stay. I will definatley be booking this home again next year for our beach vacation. Dauphin Island is a great quite family friendly place and the best beach that I've traveled to.

Ideal beach front rental for a week long stay. Our time was divided between reading while sitting on the long covered porch, gazing at the unobstructed view of the Gulf of Mexico, swimming in the warm, gentle waves and walking the soft, white sandy beach. The two king size bedrooms, one on the main floor and another on the second floor, provided plenty of privacy for two couples. We didn't use the third bedroom or bunk beds, all great options if needed for more guests. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pots and pans and an outside gas grill. We suggest bringing groceries for home cooked meals since the restaurant offerings were limited and expensive.

Overall, nice property. The kitchen faucet needs replaced, as it drips if not turned off in right position. Outside lights are not turtle friendly.
Loved having a private driveway!

Fantastic location for a family trip to one of our favorite paces! Right on the beach and the decks in each floor were a really nice feature. Lots of room and a good layout for a family or large group of friends. Will rent again.

We really enjoyed our stay here! It was perfect for our family. Having beach toys and chairs available was so nice. The grill wouldn’t light for us, but other than that, everything was great.

Sweet Home Alabama was a great place for us to relax on the beach and fish for a few days. The house is positioned directly on the beach, and in September the weather was beautiful, and the beach not crowded at all. The house is adequately stocked and comfortable with plenty of room.

This house had every thing you need it was clean and it was large enough for 5 Adults and two teenagers every thing worked and the AC was unbelievably cold would do this house again Thanks

Overall, this house was wonderful! For those in our group who were TV nuts, the TVs had issues. Not able to watch much downstairs due to having to have an Xfinity password which we didn’t have. The big TV upstairs kept turning off. Otherwise, I loved it so much!

I would highly recommend SHA, it was just as perfect as the description said

We loved the house. We always liove Dauphin Island.

This home was accurately represented in picture and description. And Dauphin Island is a great place for a more low key beach vacation. It was so nice to walk out from the house to the shore, and to not be shoulder to shoulder with other vacationers.
5.0
This house fit our needs perfectly. There was ample room for everyone. The fact that it was right next to the water made it easy for all members of our family (from 3-71) to do what they enjoy the most while keeping in contact with the rest of the group.

Definitely "on the beach"! Clean. Convenient. Hope to stay again soon!

Beach trip
Pros: This house was located directly on the beach with great views of the ocean!!! We couldn't have asked for a nicer location and the house was perfect for our family. My husband and I and our 3 children, along with my brother and his wife, and our mother all went and had just enough space. There is an outside shower that was great to have. It was not enclosed to it had warm and cold water, perfect to wash all the sand off after a day at the beach. We saw several dolphins daily. The kitchen had pretty much any thing we needed to use.
Cons: The living room was a tad small and the furniture was not comfortable at all. The beds (especially the king mattresses) were SO hard! We could not get anything on the TVs unless we purchased movies or subscriptions to whatever cable service they had.

Grandkids at the beach
Very comfortable accommodations. There is something magic about the sand and the sea. It was great to be able to share these things with our kids and grandkids. We hope to make it an annual event.

Perfect for a Family
You couldn’t ask for a better house for a family. Our kids had plenty of space upstairs and my wife and I had our privacy in the downstairs master.
The home was very clean when we arrived, and some basic supplies were available. The kitchen had everything we needed in terms of hardware for meals.
VACASA communicated with us well when we had questions or needs, but otherwise it felt like our home. Very happy, we’ll be back!

Nearly perfect in every way
We loved Sweet Home Alabama. The location could not have been any better. The layout of the house was perfect for our family. The kids felt like the had a mini apartment upstairs. The house was exactly as described, and filled with amenities. My biggest issue with the property was that all the coffee tables and end tables were glass top, and I was terrified they would get broken 😂 Book your visit at Sweet Home Alabama. You won’t regret it!

Great Location
Perfect location! The beach is right in front of the house. The deck space is wonderful with ample furniture.
