About this house rental
Park your car and walk! You'll be in a safe, tree-filled neighborhood with sidewalks. OSU is just four blocks away and it's an easy twelve block downtown, with many restaurants. The nearest large grocery store is nine blocks away and you have four coffee shops nearby. If you have children, walk five minutes (in adult walking time) to a park with children's play equipment.
NO check out chores, except wash the dishes you used before leaving.
Pets: Maximum of two dogs. Other animals must be approved by owner before the reservation is finalized. Pet fee is charged. We recommend the rover service if you are going to an event and must leave your pet at the house.
This updated Craftsman-style home was built in 1905, using locally logged and milled Douglas fir. The original custom-built kitchen cabinetry and the original Douglas fir flooring upstairs is still in use. The house has an old-fashioned house-wide front porch, with chairs and tables for you to enjoy the sun and the breeze.
The old formal front parlor now has pull-down wall bed with a sitting area by the windows. A solid wood door can be closed to separate the parlor from the kitchen.
The family's everyday living space now has a smart TV with a Roku and Netflix, along with comfortable chairs, a sofa and end tables. Two folding work desks are available, along with a desk in the master bedroom.
The home has been rewired with plenty of outlets for lights and electronics. If your charging cables aren't long enough, we provide extension cords with surge protectors.
The front and back yards are available for your use. The yards are being renovated to be sustainable spaces for use by birds, butterflies and people throughout the year. The backyard has a small patio with chair and tables, shaded by a magnolia and a Japanese maple. The fig tree is growing up and you might get a few figs if you come at the right time of year.
For visitors to OSU: Reser Stadium, Gill Coliseum and the OSU Welcome Center are a little over a mile away. Goss stadium is under a mile. All are easy, safe walks.

This house was perfect for our family of 5 for OSU’s spring family weekend! Our adult ‘kids’ could come and go as they pleased and it was very close to campus and downtown. The neighborhood is quiet while being in relative proximity to some fraternity houses that were part of our festivities. Beds were comfy, rooms cute, and the home’s architecture was charming. The only challenges were 1 bathroom for 5 people (we used a schedule) and there isn’t a dishwasher. Solo cups and paper plates helped a ton. Would love to stay here again!

Just the roominess for accommodating us and mom-in-law. Since our son was getting married, we were able to have a little elbow room for preparing decor and food. Also to have the other parents over for some socializing. A quiet and easy place.

We stayed here to check out OSU with 2 teenage boys. The house was perfect for us as everyone got their own rooms and we were close to everything we wanted to do. We even walked home from a basketball game one night and it was an easy comfortable walk. Beds were comfortable and we had plenty of coffee. Would definitely stay here again.

The house is in a great location - walkable and proximity to OSU. Although the kitchen is not modern, it is very functional and had everything that I needed to cook full meals. One note - the only bathroom is downstairs (just off the kitchen) and the bedrooms are upstairs. Makes for a trek for nighttime visits. Be alert that the side door to the yard tends to pop open when the front door is closed. Created an issue for my dog but Rosalind was understanding and we were able to address it. I would stay here again.

This home is clean and cozy. We slept SO well! The house is walkable to everything we needed to get to … OSU, Farmer’s Market, downtown, shopping … but super quiet. Lovely neighborhood.

neighborhood great and is close to OSU and the property was exactly as pictured and described. I had not noticed that there was only one bathroom and its off the kitchen. It didnt bother us but there are some steepish stairs if anyone needs to use the restroom at night. The house is a nice cozy farm house style house that is comfortable and charming. It was also reasonably priced. would definitely stay here again.

Great college town neighborhood with easy access to the OSU campus. The 1901 cottage with numerous updates was as advertised. The appliances were modern, downstair rooms were comfortable, upstairs bedrooms were fine. We would not hesitate renting this property again. I would have liked to have had contact with the owner to flesh out the history of this very interesting property.

Walk to OSU, was the perfect place for our weekend! Location was, as they said, walkable to the college and to downtown... we did both. There was ample room for our party of 4, which required use of the 3 bedrooms... beds were comfy. The kitchen was stocked with everything one would need for dining in, however, we chose to walk into town for our meals. We did do morning coffee on the front porch, the table and chairs were a charming spot for this and made us get quite the late start. All and all we had a wonderful time, the house was adorable with all of its old charm. We will definitely stay at, Walk To OSU when we come back to Corvallis.

A great property with plenty of room for everyone to sleep and a big dining table so that we could sit the whole family + a grandparent. Well positioned to walk to restaurants and coffee shops

Well stocked, nice layout. Enjoyed visiting in front room. Very clean, and excellent communication with owners. I highly recommend. Stairs are a little steep but there is a lovely Murphy bed downstairs if you have a person in your party that can’t navigate steeper stairs.

Very convenient for OSU track and field meet. Able to make healthy meals for athletes. A comfortable home like stay for them to relax before and after the meet. Having one bathroom was not ideal, but we made it work.

We were in town with our three young adult kids for the weekend. We prefer renting a house with living space rather than having separate hotel rooms when we travel.
The house had plenty of room for five adults not just in the sleeping space, but also to hang out together in the living area and kitchen.
The house has all the charm of a 100+ year old farmhouse, but modernized for comfort and safety. Pleasantly surprised with the modern windows, electrical and plumbing.
The only caution would be if you have grandparents or someone with mobility issues, the stairs are steep and narrow.
If our youngest chooses OSU, we will be checking for availability of this property for future visits!!

We decided last minute to cancel our hotel rooms and choose a home instead for a couple of nights during the high school basketball tournament at Gil Coliseum. The home was comfortable for the 5 of us adults. We played games at the kitchen table after dinner, relaxed in the living room enjoying our wine, conversation, and lots of laughs. Great family time! We will ALWAYS choose a home over hotel stays. MUCH better experience.

Lovingly restored old house, spotlessly clean, well equipped, livable. Kitchen well stocked, linens and towels are perfect. There are notes and instructions wherever you need them. Hosts are next door and friendly. The restaurant reviews they provide to guests are extensive, amusing, and spot on.

Perfect place to stay…walkable to OSU campus, Reser stadium and many more places. Quick drive to grocery store and downtown.
Very quaint clean old farmhouse. Loved the front porch. Comfortable beds with super comfy comforters to keep you warm at night. We loved staying here. Only wish there was an upstairs bathroom for us older folks. However, there is a Murphy bed downstairs if we wanted to use it. Will definitely stay again.

Great cozy home with nice sitting areas in the backyard and front porch. Greatly appreciated the bananas, milk, coffee and tea as well as the granola.
Well stocked home and didn’t have to do the laundry upon exiting!

Great house!
We had a great experience at this place. It's an easy walk to downtown. We hosted a family dinner from my relatives in the area, and the kitchen was well stocked. It was also great to be able to bring our dog with us. The host was super responsive, the house was clean and comfortable to stay at. We would stay here again.

Clean, updated Victorian
We slept very well in this two-story bungalow. The host posted lots of useful notes on how to use the facilities, and the kitchen was better equipped than average. The neighborhood is atmospheric and very Oregon-y.

Comfy Stay at City Farmhouse
Sweet, comfy place for family stay. Farmhouse style eat-in kitchen big enough for the entire family. Upstairs bedroom beds are very comfortable and the fenced back yard is a great place for the dogs to run. We loved our stay.

City Farmhouse
Thank you Rosalind :) We really enjoyed our stay in your home. The location was great...the space was great...we had all we needed. You and Simon were so helpful and gracious.
As we discussed...without a bathroom upstairs with the bedrooms one must be prepared for that especially with little children or us oldies! :) The Fall colors were stunning! Also the beds were very comfortable...important to me! Take Care!

Family Graduation Weekend
We had a large family gathering for our son's OSU graduation and needed a second home at the last minute to accommodate some overflow. We booked this Corvallis home and it is just as advertised. While a little "tight" for the 6 that stayed there, it was very clean and met all our needs. We especially loved the proximity to town and the campus! Rose was a great host and even left some breakfast items for the first morning. I would certainly recommend this property!

Rosalind's nest
I couldn't believe how well my husband and I both slept at Rosalind's City Farmhouse. I thought we had found ourselves in the children's story "The Napping House." The bed was so comfortable. It was quite the cozy place to stay even though it is not far from downtown and the college.
The kitchen is large and had what we needed to enjoy home-cooked meals and do a little baking. Grocery stores are nearby even if you're after gochujang sauce or craft beer.
Rosalind was an excellent host: gracious, generous, and flexible. I enjoyed chatting with her about life in Corvallis. She responded immediately to our questions and requests. We just could not ask for anything more.
