Great location. Roomy, well-appointed home. Clean rooms, comfortable beds, plenty of clean linens and towels. Beautiful water views. This was a quick, two-day trip to check out the Douglas Lake area. Everyone in our group of 10 agreed we’d like to come for a longer visit. Thank you for the excellent stay!

Our stay was not bad but a few things could have been better.
1. No wash cloths were available. Dish cloths were a little rough looking as well.
2. The closet with towels was definitely out of order - towels and sheets were folded but on the floor.
3. The soap that's in the shower dispenser is the same as the hand soap we use to wash our hands. Luckily we were brought some body wash.
Just a suggestion- It would be great if you had a TV mounted on the brick wall when you first enter because even though you have the TV downstairs, most of the time kids will be downstairs watching TV and playing. A TV upstairs would be for the adult to enjoy, like I said it is just a suggestion. Also, maybe put up some curtains or blinds on the big glass windows because people next door can look right into the villa.
I met a nice man as we were packing our vehicles , I didn't get his name but he was checking the villa next to ours (#1) and he was so pleasant to talk to and he explained why the water was so low in the lake.
Overall our stay was great.

We came with college friends and kids for our annual summer trip, but this was our first time at Douglas Lake! The property was beautiful, just as described, and the views were awesome. We rented a pontoon but did take advantage of the paddle boards - and it was fun just floating around off the dock.
The pool is a little smaller than I thought, but it is gorgeous with the views and has a large pool deck and a bathroom, which I thought was super helpful.
Grocery stores were a little further than I hoped, but Instacart was available (we ordered from Publix). The closest marina was a decent stretch away - about 20-30 minutes - we weren't bothered by it!
Beds were super comfy and all the bathrooms were really nice and updated. If I had one thing that wasn't super great, it was that the kitchen wasn't equipped with many serving dishes, especially bigger bowls - we found two, but we made do. The dishware was also a little sparse.
Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg only about an hour away - we went one day but had much more fun at the lake! Some of our group went ziplining one day and loved it. We all decided we would definitely come back!

Nice, but don’t bring boat!
Spacious but don’t bring boat! Directions take you to a house, took 2 1/2 hours to try to get boat out of there. If you do not have 4 WD don’t bring boat! Nice place but definitely should let people know about crazy drive to it.

Large family celebration
We celebrated 50 years as a family with 17 of us for a week. The house was perfect! It was great to have each couple have a king bed and pile the cousins in the bunk room. We enjoyed the deck for meals looking over the lake. The lake is amazing. Super calm and warm, so great for swimming/skiing/tubing. The pool was a nice treat. It’s far out there and on hilly gravel for a while but worth it for such a great house with the lake.

Great place for a large group of friends to relax.
The Villa was clean and spacious with plenty of room for 6 couples. The sunset views were amazing, The infinity pool was wonderful. However, if you plan on bringing a boat/jet skis, the boat launch shown in the photos may not be usable. It was filled with logs at the bottom and a very steep incline into the water. After moving the logs aside, we were able to launch the jet skis, but we were unable to pull the jet skis out of the water because the ramp was too steep. If a boat ramp is not a requirement for your group, then I highly recommend this property.

Family vacation
It was a nice place to stay. There were plenty of things to do. We could have stayed there the whole time if we didn’t want to go do other things.

Villa on lake Douglas was a great stay.
We loved the villa and the view from the deck. The villa was clean and spacious for our family. The gravel road was unexpected...a bit dusty....but overall we would stay here again. Already planning to come back.

3 night stay for Smoky Mountain visit
The property is situated on the lake. Very spacious for our group of 11. It was a challenge getting to the property on a gravel road. Need couple of more signs pointing to the home. Jeff, the manager was very helpful on the phone. It's little bit out of the way but I will definitely stay here again.

Very cold stay because thermostat was locked but good stay.
Everything was ok. I got messages from the property manger saying the coals put some burn marks on the deck below( didn't see a deck below) but otherwise everything ok. And be prepared to make a fire because you can't turn the heat up because it's locked. So it was pretty cold if the fire goes out.

We love the property, it's very clean and beautiful. The owners replied fast. We were there at the end of October, the pool was closed. Still, I want to go back.

Lake life
Chalet was very clean and stocked with all cooking and bath supplies. Manager was super helpful and was timely and gracious with all questions. We came in late at night and he told us to call if there were any issues. Family was highly impressed with all accommodations. Hope to come back soon!

Week at lake douglas SMV paradise untain
Everyone enjoyed it. No fish but figured that just keeps my fishing record status quo. Owners treat guest as family. Internet poor but that was plus as kept us off computer s lot but if desired could use not hotspot. Enough connection could run business from here plus enjoy the lake and beautiful scenery including pair bald eagles. They did do better with fishing than did I. All queat in adjacent property followed good social distancing but all friendly . Future of this villa complex is enormous

Family vacation
My husband and I stayed at the villas with our 4 boys , both parents of Us , my sister , her husband and their children along with some of the older boys girlfriends. We had a awesome time !!!!! Each family from different states meet there. States included Mississippi, Kentucky, West Virginia, and Georgia , Ohio. . We normally take a cruise because of the virus we was all doubtful a vacation would happen this year. I saw this house on the lake that held 18 people. And had lots of things to do for all ages. We rented boat and jet ski from H2O SPORTS about 20 min away and brought them down to pickup the family . Everyone had a awesome time!!!!! The owners are extremely nice and welcomed us on our arrival. We rented a golf cart from them for the parents . We did kayaking there with stand up board for free. The pool was incredible. We made a fire with s’mores. The house was spotless! Everything you would ever need was in the kitchen. We didn’t eat out once. I would definitely recommend this house.... well worth the money! Plan on making it our annual family meeting place ! Thank you to the owners... you’ve all done a fanatic job !!!! See ya next year!

Chalet was beautiful and brand new. Wonderful if you were inside.
Stone drive needs to be graded to reduce the risk of tires breaking loose and throwing stones at the car behind you and scratching your own car. The pool will be a beautiful attraction once complete but in the meantime something needs to be done about dock space. Three to Four Chalets that sleep 12-18 people sharing a single dock is ridiculous. We came to a lake house and wanted to spend time on the lake, very challenging when you’re bumping into people all day. Once again... the pool is beautiful but we came for the lake and the cost of that pool would have paid for each chalet to have its own dock and the drive to be properly graded. The members of our party felt misled by the wording in the description of the property. There is no secondary dock and there is no fun shack. Yes there are inflatables and cyaks at the dock but there just laying on the deck taking up precious space. We won’t be back.

The property was gorgeous!!
The place was perfect. It worked great for a group from 4 to 70 years of age. The beds were so comfortable. We cooked in. The kitchen was top of the line. There were oversize skillets and crockpots for a large group. Great barbecue grill for cooking out. The Amish made furnishings were top quality. The deck was right on the water with a great view. It was so peaceful to sit on the deck and watch the eagles. Every bedroom had access to a bathroom except for 1 bunk room and the kids didn't care. They loved the bunk beds. Gatlinburg is 20 minutes away on a back road with little traffic. The kids had so much fun here that we only went once. The paddleboards were great fun along with the kayaks. The kids loved the water trampoline. The boat dock is just below the house with a boat for rent. The kids loved to be pulled on the tubes. We took the boat up to Dandridge and had lunch. The lake is huge and beautiful. It is great for fishing. We drove to the Cosby entrance of the Smokies National Park and did a great 2 mile hike up to a waterfall. The place is just off I-40 so it is very easy to get to and Walmart is just 4 miles away. There are 4 houses and each one is decorated differently. With 3 floors you can spread out or get a large group together.

Beautiful!!
The property is beautiful! We had 12 in our party and a variety of ages from 14 to 70. Everyone enjoyed themselves. We rented the boat for a couple of days and loved it. We had the dock to ourselves every day until the last. Unfortunately, on the last day the people who checked into the other house literally took over the dock and our kids were not comfortable going down to the dock to swim that day. The other group did not appear willing to share. Eric and Josh (managers/owner) were great to work with and always available for questions. We would definitely stay again!
