About this house rental
Beautiful, well-furnished 2-bedroom, 2-bath cabin (actually a house with a cozy cabin feel) in the Texas Hill Country just outside of New Braunfels, Texas and minutes away from the historic town of Gruene, the quaint town of Wimberley and the famous outlet shops in San Marcos. Also only an hour away from the larger cities of Austin and San Antonio.
Our property offers a quiet, serene get-a-way with over 400 feet of frontage along the cold and refreshing Guadalupe River. Included with your stay are complimentary sit-on-top kayaks, paddle boats, tubes and SUP's (Stand Up Paddleboards). All the popular lake activities (sailing, jet skiing, etc) available just down the road on Canyon Lake. All modern conveniences including central ac/heat, cable TV and wireless internet. Indoor fireplace and covered outdoor seating area with fireplace and gas grill. Great place for fun in the sun during the summer months and an exceptionally serene retreat during our moderate-weathered winter months. Winter Texans are always welcome and be sure to contact us for special discounted rates for stays of 30 days or more.
FYI, our cabin is very nicely furnished, but is not huge. Although we can actually sleep 10 people in the 5 available queen-size beds (2 in each bedroom and a sofa sleeper in the living room), it can get a bit cramped at times with larger groups, depending on how "cozy" you want to be. Although we have had several groups of 8-10 people who have enjoyed their stay, it is our opinion that six is the most that can fit "comfortably" in our cabin. Of course, we have plenty of room outside for entertaining.

My husband and I stayed for our anniversary weekend. The cabin was absolutely beautiful, perfectly decorated and very well appointed inside. The property was immaculate and the access to the river was fantastic. The owners offered to have water equipment available for us and my husband used the kayak launch which was really neat. This is by far the very best property I’ve ever rented through VRBO!

This is our go to place when we have business in the area or when we just want to have fun. We've stayed here every summer for 5+ years and counting. The location is close to everything you would need. Access to the river is a short walk and all the tubes, SUPs, kayak's, etc are provided for the stay. The hosts are great and readily available for anything you may need. The cabin is clean and stocked with everything you need for your stay. We also enjoy the patio at the cabin....always has a cool breeze blowing while watching deer and birds and reading (or you can watch TV on a big screen!) Kayaking is our favorite thing to do there and this spot on the river is exceptionally beautiful. We will keep going back as long as the property is available!

The property was beautiful and the owners were gracious and even came out to help us turn the grill on. The kayaks were super nice with a rack you could climb onto to get in them. We went out each morning at our leisure for an hour kayak ride and it was so much fun. The cabin and grounds were beautiful and nicely decorated with beautiful landscapes and wildlife to listen to and watch. It was a perfect weekend getaway as it’s close to Wimberely and Gruene. We also drove about 45 minutes to Guadalupe River State Park and went hiking as well. This place exceeded my expectations and the hosts were the nicest couple! We really enjoyed the entire experience.

We traveled to Texas to visit family and view the eclipse. Ralph's property was amazing! We had the best, most relaxing time at their cabin.

This property is perfect for a family or group of friends to get away. Great location on the river just before the horseshoe bend. We used the property provided kayaks to paddle up and down river to fish. The place easily accommodated our group of 4 and we will definitely come back to it.

This is turning into an annual trip. We've used this wonderful two bedroom house for a fly fishing trip the last two years. The hosts are friendly and great you at the door upon arrival. They have a wonderful set up with outdoor living space, fire pit, grill, and access to the river. A great way to disconnect from the city.

A wonderful and cozy cabin with the perfect Hill Country feel! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay on the river, with the kids delighted to wake up each morning to the site of deer outside the cabin windows. The hosts are very kind and went out of their way accommodating our family. A great place to stay!

We have been staying at this property for years and will continue to do so as long as it is available. The house is always super clean. The owners continually update the house. Beds and furniture are comfortable. Use of the river toys are a plus! The owners are great and have put a lot of thought into all the details of your stay. Looking forward to our stay next year.

We had a great stay at the river cabin. Plenty of privacy and a friendly host. The river was great to cool off in after our sunny adventures. Everything was clean and well stocked. I’d rank it as one of the top places we’ve stayed.

Ralph and Analia were fantastic hosts, great communication, helpful in giving us the lay of the land around us, and just genuinely kind people.
The property was clean, well appointed and had all the amenities we could have asked for for a perfect anniversary weekend away from the busy Houston life.
Thank you guys!

Hospitality was amazing.
My family and I are outside people so this house on the water was perfect for us. The house came with enough kayaks for all of us. The river was steps away from the house. Although the owner lives close to the property, he was very courteous of our privacy.
The house is exactly what it looks like in the pictures. If you are thinking about renting this house, just do it. You will NOT regret it.

We had the best time staying at this property. Ralph and Ana kindly greeted us upon arrival and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the stay. The property is beautiful! Quietly tucked up in the hills with full access to the river and water toys. I would highly recommend this property. We will definitely be coming back again.

We had a great stay at Randy & Ana’s beautiful property. They were fantastic hosts and we thoroughly enjoyed using their kayaks and stand-up-paddle boards on the river off their awesome dock. The property is in a great location near Canyon Lake and an easy drive to Gruene/ New Braunfels and Wimberley. Thank you Randy and Ana for the memories - we hope to come back someday!!

We stayed 2 night, 3 days this weekend. We loved everything about it. We had a group of four & it was perfect for us. The house was clean & had everything we needed. The cold, wet weather kept us from enjoying the outside patio but it is very nice. The hosts are very friendly & next door if you need anything. They give you your privacy but are close by if needed. We definitely hope to stay there again.

This location was wonderful! It was clean, the perfect location, and the host/hostess had provided so many extras. Firewood, starter logs, K-cups, creamer, and paper products were all provided. We would stay again!

We have enjoyed the Guadalupe River and Canyon Lake many times through the last three decades, so we were very pleased to stay at this cabin.
The owner met us shortly after we arrived and gave us a brief tour of the property including proper and safe use of the paddle boat and kayak. This was very helpful!
The beautiful location on the Guadalupe River is close to New Braunfels, and Gruene, so there is great food, music, and shopping all around.
A leisurely excursion down the river was just what we needed to clear out the cobwebs and recharge our batteries. We truly enjoyed our stay!

Beautiful property and cabin. We went for a girl's weekend with shopping in Wimberly trade days and Guerne. This was the perfect location. We loved dining outside on the beautiful patio, kayaking and paddle boarding, and just having a relaxing weekend.

Perfect river cabin getaway. All the amenities you could want on the river (tubes, kayaks, paddle boards), and all were well cared for. The property owners were very nice and it was just an easy rental experience and a wonderful stay. We’d absolutely come back.

I cannot not say enough about Ralph and Anna and the entire property. It is the perfect place for 2 couples to spend a long weekend of doing absolutely nothing. This has been our second time there in about 6 months and I cannot wait to return.
