About this house rental
Casa Kahuna is a luxurious modern home set back in a private neighborhood of Puntas in Rincon. It is conveniently located off Rincon's Route 413 "Road to Happiness" and has unobstructed views through the valley to the Caribbean Sea. This property was formerly owned by Kahuna and his wife Mama Kahuna. Back in the sixties, when the pioneers of surfing began to visit the island, Kahuna provided the first guesthouse on the west coast. It is just minutes from World Class Surfing Breaks, Magnificent Beaches, Amazing Restaurants, and Spectacular Snorkeling, with one of the worlds largest forest of Elk Horn coral, and yet it is secluded enough to provide peace and tranquility. The house was designed by cutting-edge New York architects, Big Prototype, with wall to wall glass windows, expansive terraces and louver window ventilation, which allows the North East Tradewinds to keep the house cool and comfortable throughout the year. Air conditioning is provided in all the bedrooms. Relax in the private pool while taking in the view of the Caribbean ocean. Get a workout in, in the privacy of your own house. Casa Kahuna boasts it's very own fitness studio, with a rowing machine, pull up bar, olympic bar with weights, kettle bells, wall balls, plyo boxes, jump ropes etc. The house has a back up generator and 700 gallon water cisterns in the event there is a disruption of service. Many other features include Sonos speakers throughout the house, recycled glass slabs, as wall panels, which glow in sunlight, murals and decorative concrete blocks that create scales of textures to create a tropical experience. You may never want to leave the property!!

Casa Kahuna is a beautiful home with incredible views. The beach is so convenient as it was to fantastic restaurants and the venue of the wedding we were attending. I highly recommend this stay and will definitely be returning. Thanks Casa Kahuna!

Great place that is 5-10 minutes from downtown Rincon and all the nearby famous beaches, bars and restaurants. Great view from the porches and pool area. Private with all the amenities you would want. One word of caution: the house is set into a hillside, so if you have anyone in your group that has mobility issues beware that there a lot of steps to get from the driveway into the house and then also to the upper floor.

We stayed 5 days. Plenty of space for the family, the house was clean, had everything we needed and more! The family spent most of the time at the pool and pool deck, the Gym was a plus! beautiful beaches just 5 minutes away and an awesome town nearby. The owners of the house were great! We had car issues during our vacation and she assisted us finding help. THANKS!

This property has outstanding features for a vacation! The view from the porch and balcony is beautiful whether sunny or rainy. The porch furniture is the best ever! The pool is great for a dip morning or afternoon - sun warms the water most of the day. Two TV areas have ample seating and the Roku worked well for watching Netflix.
Four bedrooms and three full baths offered each of us privacy. The kitchen was well stocked. An indoor dining table plus another on the outdoor porch meant we could serve meals inside or outside.
We loved our stay at Casa Kahuna!

Pros-Nice house and great areas to spread out . You can’t beat the view. Excellent laundry facilities. Comfortable beds.
Cons- usually cold to at best barely warm showers at all times. Had a rat come out during day while sitting at pool. Eeeek! Also, need a new coffee machine.

I was born and raised in P. R. and to be honest, it is difficult to impress me. I was impressed! Also, I am very well aware of how difficult to maintain a home in the tropics. This home was CLEAN and well maintained throughout!! The online pics don't fully capture how beautiful the home is. Very private, surrounded by lush gardens, a pool, and a wonderful view of the sea. The house was beautifully appointed with lovely accessories and decorated with nice touches throughout and very comfortable. It was definitely a luxurious home-away-from-home. We would have loved to stay longer and certainly would love to visit again in the future.

My family had a great time at Casa Kahuna and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a rental in the Rincon area! The home is spacious, clean, and very well equipped. We spent a lot of time in the pool which was clean and usually pretty warm depending on the time of day. The landscaping surrounding the pool was beautiful. We lost power due to an island-wide issue during our stay, but luckily the home had a generator that kicked in immediately. One tip - make sure you have a car that can handle a steep incline as the road leading to the house as well as the driveway are on quite a slope!

Lovely house. Great views well equipped. Enough room for everyone to spread out. Close to surfing and town. The Mendittos info book was very helpful. The pool was cold as most of the day it is in the shade if you plan to hang out there

Property was Amazing. Very clean, super spacious, beautiful views and has everything you need. Had a small inconvenience but property manager was on top of things, very attentive. I stayed here with my husband, 4 children ages 5, 7, 11, 19 and my in-laws. Everyone loved the property and enjoyed the pool very much. Casa Kahuna is a beautiful property that is well maintained and lives up to most of the social media and rental descriptions. So you’re probably wondering what are issues we’re. *We had no greeting at the property and the location clearly requires better signage, lighting and instructions as there are several properties on the very steep hill and dare I say, the house requires a very careful driver to avoid a serious accident or fall from a precipice *There is no manual to explain the various special systems in the house - including the sound system *The alleged home gym is really a few dumbbells and a mat sitting next to the owners SUV in the garage *Sowaking about the garage, the automatic door stopped working after the first day and the property manager said that it couldn’t be looked at until the following business day - Monday - leaving us nearly three days with an open garage door. Rather than an apology, we were treated to her telling us that the area is safe and we should be fine *While we were told that quiet after dark was important in outdoor areas, the neighboring renters had music blaring well past 1:30am *Speaking of neighbors, each rental house and there are more than four, are only separated by privacy hedges that allow sound to come right in at times making it feel that the neighbors are sitting in your space. In all, the property is as stunning as the pictures and with more proactive property manager, it is 5-star.

Casa Kahuna is a five star home to stay in while in Rincon. The house is absolutely beautiful inside and out and has a stunning view from all angles. I’ve stayed here twice and hope to stay there again in the future. The property owner and manager are super accessible and answered questions that we had quickly. This house is a dream vacation home .
