A Beautiful 2 Bedroom 1 Bath Home nestled in the most desirable location in Pacific Beach, North PB. Located at 876 Tourmaline St.,Tourmaline Beach and Surf Park are less than 2 ½ blocks away. We are located in a quiet residential neighborhood, within walking distance to some of the best restaurants in San Diego along with great night life nearby. Great coffee shops, a grocery store and Bird Rock (la Jolla), Turquoise Shopping ect.; Far enough from the hustle and bustle but close enough to enjoy it! You will Love this Home. The Owner designed it for his family but had to move for his career. It is very well done with an open layout, a very high end kitchen, redwood deck off both the front and the back, pet friendly with a private yard, private driveway, a great hot tub, picnic area, and is wonderfully landscaped throughout.

Good location. The front house enjoys majority of amenities. It was unclear we would be sharing the property with other units and may have caught flack for other tenants having their own hot tub experience.
Numerous shops and restaurant options within walking or bike distance. Beach access just two blocks away. Would visit again if assured we would not be responsible for amenity use while we were away from the home.

well-appointed house in Pacific Beach neighborhood. house had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. plenty of extras are provided - including lots of beach stuff (we were here in december - not cold, but not quite beach weather). loved the neighborhood - some great bars and restaurants in walking distance. in spite of the nearby nightlife it was VERY quiet. would definitely stay again.

Awesome place, clean, everything we needed, great location. We used the bikes to get around. Only thing I felt awkward using the w/d because I had to walk past the home directly behind us and their motion light would come on.

Amazing property! Couldn’t have asked for anything more. Except maybe a couple more (firmer) pillows in the master bedroom, but that is really the one and only minor thing. Perfect location, adorable house, lots of beach accessories, bikes, and a great hot tub to relax in. Our family of five loved every minute of our trip!

This place was amazing. Beautiful house perfect for my small family. Not flashy but has everything you need for a great time at the beach. The front porch was my favorite part. My best friend (the bride) and our small party had so much fun at this charming place!! Even though the weather wasn’t great, we enjoyed that the location was close to the beach and several delicious restaurant spots! I appreciated the welcome binder with TONS of recommendations for coffee, food, and things to do in SD. The hot tub was a plus too! The owner was very responsive and kind and made everything very easy and clear. Would definitely recommend this place for a small group or even a couple!

We were happy the house was a quick drive to everything we wanted to see. Being able to walk to tourmaline beach was nice. As other reviewers have said the front and back yards do not have a lot of privacy from the units behind and the studio that shares a wall but the other guests were mostly quiet. The stacked washer and dryer are outside and take coins. $2 per wash $1 per dry cycle. I'm glad my husband is tall otherwise I wouldnt have been able to get the clothes out of the dryer without a chair.The electric tea kettle was nice to have but it could stand to be updated as the on button was finicky and wouldnt always stay on. We did not bother to communicate this the owner and just lived with it. Overall it was a great stay and I would recommend it.

The only slight drawback was that the washer and drier was not located in the house and was shared with other units. This was noted in the description, so we can't really complain about it, and there really wasn't room for a washer/drier in the house. All in all a great place as long as you understand what you're getting, so read the description closely.

While the weather was not great during our time in San Diego, the house was ideal for cooking dinner and relaxing in the hot tub after a few days of rain. The street it was located on is a very easy walk to the beach and some coffee/pub locations, but had very little traffic during our entire stay. Was great for a family of 4.

The owner was flexible and easy to communicate with. Loved the location, quiet neighborhood, 10-15 walk to Garnet Ave with all shops and amenities. Love the local grocery store up the road. House clean, perfect for family of 4. Comfortable beds. Property attached to rental, not a big deal. Rear yard is divided off but definitely not private, again knew that coming in. Not a deal for us. Would stay again, cute, well equipped. Maybe just a new coffee maker, doesn't get coffee super hot. Nice touch with wine and glasses, great after a long drive.

Beautifully situated property in North PB. We encountered several issues - not enough towels/ sheets and missing items listed as included - iron, wine glasses. Linda responded immediately and took care of all our questions and issues. But, the grill did not work, the bedroom lamp stopped working, the dishwasher stopped working, and so did the blender. Gary repaired or replaced each of these within one day and we got to know him as a very nice man.
The HVAC system in not centralized and the bedrooms got very cold at night. There were sufficient blankets to keep us comfortable and also two space heaters that worked to supplement the main unit.
The house has two units in it - the main 2 bedroom residence, and an attached efficiency unit. We could hear those guests talking occasionally but they were courteous. One day, they blew out a circuit breaker that Gary asked me to turn back on since it was located in our bedroom closet. No problem, but the units are not entirely separated- you can hear water running from the efficiency unit too.
There are two nice units located behind the residence - both were occupied. We did not feel we had privacy even though the back yard was designated for our exclusive use. We had to walk to the COIN operated washer and dryer through their yards that we shared with all four units.
Overall, this is a nice property and well equipped for a small family that wants to visit and play on the beach.

Loved this rental! It is well stocked in the kitchen, the beds/pillows were very soft and comfortable. The location cannot be better for getting around to everything easily. The front porch with large chairs are perfect for watching the sunrise and sunset. Lovely place, thank you so much!

Cozy
Clean cozy home, I would stay here again but only as a romantic getaway with my spouse. Having one bath to share with more than one person was challenging. The kitchen is very spacious along with the dining area. Access to backyard is only accessible from the alley. Other bungalows on property a which means you hear everything and so can they…last not but least AC was great if hanging out in living room. Bedrooms luckily had fans….

Beautiful home in an excellent location!
We loved our stay at this property for our family’s first time in San Diego. It was the perfect size for our small family and dogs. They had also included many thoughtful things that made it a breeze having our toddler with us (booster seat, kid plates & silverware, pack n play). The neighborhood was close enough for a quick walk to Tourmaline and Law Street beaches, but we were still able to experience a nice, quiet neighborhood and no crowds. We loved all of the local food recommendations the owner shared, and would love to stay here next time we come through!

Cute cottage
This property was very cute! We enjoyed our stay here. The neighbor put a bad taste in our mouth the first day as he barged because the front door was open for air. We had a friend stop by to say hello and was parked on the street blocking a piece of the driveway of the home we were staying in and he said it was illegal, he was calling the cops and sick of all the renters. Not sure if he has had problems prior. Needless to say we never kept the front door open because it scared our kids! We were scared to use the hot tub after our first time in it because we didn't want to be accused of sand in the tub, as I had to message the owner that it looked dirty and smelled a little. He said he found sand and a very dirty filter. We had been in it once. Other than that if was a very pleasant stay.

Came for a beach Memorial Service. Great for our dogs and us. The three bedroom units behind us all had kids and were very respectful. Great location with everything you need in walking distance. Norwood s have thought of everything. So nice booked for 2023. Great find in Pacific Beach.

Adult couple visiting PB
This is a great property to rent for its location in North Pacific Beach. There’s so many restaurants and food options nearby that you really don’t need to cook but if you do, the kitchen is well set up plus there’s a grill. The house is small (one small bathroom and queen size beds) so four adults is a very tight squeeze. You should know the other couple well beforehand! The hot tub in the back is a really wonderful amenity that we used almost every evening. As other reviewers have noted, the backyard is not private as there are three other rental apartments behind the main property. We didn’t have any issues but it’s good to know beforehand. Gary, the handyman, was responsive when we needed extra items. One key thing is the AC unit located in the front room works really well but the cool air does not travel to the bedrooms. We used two fans and opened all the windows for comfort. PB can get warm and we were grateful the home had AC at all but it can make sleeping at night tricky if you’re heat- sensitive. Overall a very nice stay in San Diego for two adults.

Great Location but Noisy and Weird at times
The property is in a great location. Just a few blocks to the beach! The home is also close to good restaurants and several markets. Depending on your own preferences, this home does exist on a lot with other properties. The description doesn't say that but there is a duplex immediately in the back of the house. The tenants back there were friendly but loud. From inside this home with the windows closed, you can hear them playing music loudly, speaking on their phones in front of their units. There were times when we opened the kitchen window blinds and the tenants were in their balconies or front yard looking into this home. It was uncomfortable at times. There is also a tiny half unit on the side of this house. When we were there, we didn't know about it until we saw the occupant walking up the driveway as we pulled in with the car and he opened a door right at the side of the house. That also made it weird because we wondered if the occupant could hear our conversations or whatnot. The other units and occupants made this home feel like an apartment unit.
