My husband and I stayed with our two kids ages 9 and 12. Randy and Arlene were excellent to work with with plenty of local suggestions for things to do, restaurants to visit and loaned us equipment for our very own lobster boil on our deck! The cottage is an excellent pivot point for Peggy’s Cove, Lunenburg (don’t miss the much quieter Blue Rocks and restaurant “The Deck”), and Halifax. Plenty of sand and rocky beaches for beach combing and sea kayak rentals. What a very special vacation! We were all sad to leave.

Loved this perfect spot. Centrally located to many sites. Well equipped and very clean.

We picked this location for the closeness to my mother in Hubbard's and we were able to use the little blue cottage as a middle point and we got to do all of our visiting. Peggy's Cove, Bridgewater ,Mahon Bay ,Chester and Lunenberg. It was amazing!. Randy and Arlene are the most gracious host you can imagine.

We have already booked for next year(for a month)
The hosts, Randy and Arlene were wonderful, friendly and accommodating. Many, many extra special touches to make your stay comfortable. The setup for recycling and garbage was very well thought out and easy to use. Kitchen was well stocked. Overall, of all the places we have stayed while travelling, this is one of the best. The price is good too. Do it, you know you want to. Thanks Randy and Arlene.
10.0
If you want to stay in the area, this is the place you want to be. Randy and Arlene were great. Everything you could want. Lots of extra special touches. Home away from home. You won’t be disappointed. The only thing I would have liked would be a lounge chair.
8.0
The property was close to what we needed and offered a beautiful view across the street from St Margaret’s Bay. The cabin itself was a decent size for the 3 of us, but can imagine it would be overwhelming for any more people. Lots and lots and lots of decorations… yours eyes won’t get bored. Our only downside was the lack of privacy from the hosts. They live on site in a separate trailer but stayed in the cabin directly attached to the one we were renting. Just a little too close for comfort for us! The host also spoke with us without his shirt on… not a huge deal but again.. a little too close for comfort. This stay would probably be more enjoyed by extroverts.

Nice little cottage with everything we needed. Randy and Arlene were very friendly and very helpful. Wonderful views and wonderful area. Definitely will come back again.

Randy & Arlene are great hosts offering advice on where to go and sights to visit. Property was perfect and as advertised. A 5 star rating in our books!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay on the "Puddle" in Black Point. The cottage and all amenities were spot on and the location allowed us to tour through the Mahone and St.Margaret's bay vicinity. We were close enough to broaden our visit to the LeHave Islands and Crescent Beach, which is a drive on beach. Randy and Arlene are purely "salt of the earth" folks and were very pleasant and accommodating throughout our stay. Hats off to both of you ... We will be back. :)
8.0
Wonderful cottage. Fully stocked. Absolutely the best host and hostess you could ever ask for. The two things we were disappointed with was the noisy busy road in front of the cottage and the flood light right in front. If these two things were not an issue this would have been a ten.

Wow! Amazing hosts, amazing property at an amazing location!
The hosts of this property are fantastic — friendly and full of local knowledge to help you make the best of your visit to this beautiful area of Nova Scotia.
The property is incredibly comfortable — we felt right at home. It was amazing to be able to eat some home cooked lobsters out on the deck overlooking the ocean. The property was well stocked with essentials like cooking oil, condiments, coffee and cooking utensils — everything we needed to get started. We also loved that we were able to do laundry right on property.
The location of this property is very central and allowed us to visit Halifax, Peggys Cove and other areas of the South Shore like Lunenburg, all within a short drive. We also traveled up to the Annapolis Valley to visit a winery, some historic sites and Halls Harbour — a beautiful fishing town on the Bay of Fundy. The property is walking distance from a couple of beaches and we also enjoyed beach combing for shells and sea glass right in front of the cottage.
We have already recommended this property to family who like to visit NS and would definitely book this property again if travelling out this way.

The hosts Randy & Arlene live on the property in a separate unit. They were readily available to answer our questions and provide excellent recommendations for site seeing. The unit is extremely clean & comfortable. Randy & Arlene keep it fully stocked with all the basic supplies we needed to enjoy our stay. We highly recommend this VRBO!

The cottage was great. The owners are on site and are very friendly and helpful. The cottage is well stocked and comfortable. The area around the cottage is great for down day walking adventures. In our week we were able to check out Halifax, Peggy Cove, Mahone Bay, Lunenburg, and even a ride through the interior to Digby. We saw some wildlife in the area including deer, porpoise/whale, shore birds, song birds, and even humming birds feeding at the lupines. There is good food in the area and grocery shopping is close. Great stay!

A beautiful first Vrbo experience. Our hosts were very gracious, and guided us in suggestions on what do visit. Our unit was very well equipped with everything we needed and more. Would definitely recommend everyone to book this unit.

We cannot recommend this cottage more! Its the perfect location from which to explore Noca Scotia, and the ocean view is beautiful. The hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming, and were reallly good with our kids. They recommended activites and restaurants, and the cottage was stocked with everything we needed for our holiday. We would definitely stay here again!

We had a great stay at Randy and Arlene's place. It was a home base with a beautiful view of the ocean and all the amenities we needed. It was so good to have a comfortable space to come back to after exploring this area of Nova Scotia during the day. Our hosts were very helpful and had great suggestions for us from the local farmer's market to Peggy's Cove and more. We hope to someday return if we are able to make the trip again.

the property was comfortable, peaceful and quiet, in a lovely setting on St. Margatets Bay. It was an easy drive to Chester, Mahone Bay and Lunenburg. Just an ideal location.

This was a very nice rental not only because it was clean & well supplied but mainly because of the hosts. Hurricane Fiona struck while we were there so the power was out. The hosts ran the generator so we could have water, coffee, etc.-even gave us food! We really appreciated everything & definitely recommend this place:
And the view was great-right across the street from the bay.
