Overall a nice property, good for one person or a couple. There’s a walkup

I was in New York on business and found this place. It was very nice staying in this quiet neighborhood and beautiful apartment. Full size refrigerator with gas stove, coffee maker and microwave all provided including kitchen amenities. Apartment was clean and organized upon arrival with extra bedding and towels included. Landlord and his son were very accessible and helpful in answering questions, area advice and general information. Very friendly and welcoming. The apartment is very close to subway that will take you all the way uptown and all the way downtown to south ferry. Plenty of good food in the area and just steps from Central Park. All in all it was my home away from home.

The furniture in the pics are not what is in the apartment. The apartment is not "Newly Renovated." The skylights leak when it rains and the one in the kitchen is slightly open, so debris falls from it. They do not even clean it. Had to buy a vacuum, then spent 3 days cleaning animal hair off the furniture, floor, and curtains. The first week we only had lights in half the apartment and a shower we could not use because it did not drain. Took a week of communicating through the company with the owner, because he stopped responding to me directly. Also the company does not protect renters as advertised. So if you come into an issue with a property and the apartment is not livable, V will run you around in circles and never help you find another place to stay. 16 hrs on the phone with the company (mostly on hold) and still no help with an apartment that had no lights in half of it, and no working shower. Will only use the competitors site from now on, and never rent from Dov, this company, or it's parent company.

Great location
Great location near Central Park and local neighbourhood shops and subway. We stayed Christmas - New Year And apartment was way too warm but we had no instructions on how to turn down heat. Would be good if owner provided information about local neighbourhood.

New York Marathon stay
Location was great for getting to subways. Loved having a kitchen for leftovers. The TV connection could use some work. Kept dropping the connection.

Upper West Side Apartment
Fairly spacious one bedroom in very convenient area of Manhattan.
Description does not indicate that this is a 5th floor walkup with some daunting stairs (sloping, uneven, different materials, etc.).
Apartment is older with some spongy floor spots, bath with some plumbing issues. Needed to purchase a step stool to get into the bed. Quiet. Overall reasonable living space

Awesome Location
The location of the little apartment was very much ideal. The subway was a 3 to 5 minute walk and central park was just across the street from the subway stop. The owner, Dov, was very responsive and really accommodated us during our stay. I only gave this apartment 4 stars because we were slightly disappointed in the state of the place when we arrived. Most of the dishes and cookware were visibly dirty so we had to wash them all before using them, and there were no hand or dish towels. Paper towels would have been nice as well. Lastly two of the towels had crunchy stuff on them so we had to hunt around the place for clean towels. Other than that is was a great little place to stay!

Great location!
A good place to stay in NYC: easy to get around, places to be and go also in the neighborhood. Quiet building, slept very well. Apartment met basic needs, not for those expecting hotel style living - but those who like to think themselves to be a bit like true New Yorkers for a week this was a very good choice.

Good value for a very nice area, one block from Central Park.
We thoroughly enjoyed our week in Manhattan. This apartment was quite adequate for our plan -- out a lot, simple meals. Bed was very comfortable and we appreciated its size (though it is a bit big for the size of the room). Living room was comfortable with good TV service. Window air conditioners in the living room and the bedroom worked well. Restaurants, and groceries were within a couple of blocks. Unit is on the top floor in an older building with no elevator. If you are ok with the 73 steps you will climb, this is a very good value to stay in a very nice part of Manhattan. We would definitely return.

New York New York on W 88th
Comfortable space and bed; a good location; handy to public transport and shops, restaurants etc. Very close to Central Park. The 5th floor location meant needing to be a bit fit. We had a couple of not-significant issues and the owner was very responsive and helpful.

Sunny, bright 1 bedroom-excellent location!
Great location near Central Park on the Upper West Side. Comfortable sleeping, easy kitchen, good dining and LR. Owner is very responsive; 5th floor walk up requires being reasonably fit. It worked for our group!

Great Location! Comfortable!
We loved staying in this apartment. It is bright and sunny, the bed is comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. We didn't mind the four flights of stairs since we knew what we were getting when we booked the place. The location is perfect being half a block away from a subway stop and Central Park. Also it is a great neighborhood for walking around, shops and restaurants. The fold out couch is a typical convertible couch that is not very comfortable as a bed. We put the mattress on the floor and that was much better. It would have been nice to have one more blanket and more coffee mugs. We would definitely stay here again!

Afordable and well located option in Upper West Side.
We stayed at Dov's apartment for a month. It is very well located, just a few steps from Central Park, in a quiet, charming street. It is also very close to the 86th metro station, and within a walking distance from a Whole Foods Market, pharmacies, several restaurants and cafés. Dov is very responsive and accomodating. I would definatly recommend this place.

Had a Great Stay
Dov was very flexible and accommodating to our early check in and late check out requests. The apartment meets our basic needs in terms of security, cleanliness and amenities as we were out and about for most of the day anyways. We did not mind walking the stairs and appreciate being higher up than being on the first floor. The location is great and it is very convenient to get to most any part of the City. It is a half block from central park and a subway entrance. For better or worse, the neighborhood is residential and quiet so it does not have the crush of tourists like Time Square. Based on the cost of hotels in Manhattan, I would go with this property in terms of value.

Great cosy 1 bedroom in a prime UWS
Great cosy 1 bedroom in a prime UWS location . Although 5 floors up walk up, the A/C line station is just on the corner of CPW. Dov the owner was really responsive ( heat not working one day but fixed within an hour). The place is a bit old but it's clean and well kept . Bed is really comfortable, big closets space and kitchen with lots of amnities (coffee maker, pots and pans ) Wifi , phone and tv cable are running . Definitely a great value for a long stay in Manhattan .

nice apartment
I enjoyed the apartment. There were a few problems and the landlord IMMEDIATELY responded and helped me..This is a 5th floor walkup and you REALLY have to be in shape. It was VERY quiet, great bed > I slept well as a result..Close to the park and the reservoir ( my favorite running route) .great restaurants in the area and close to a subway stop as well..

Great location and meets all your needs
The location is perfect and its really confortable for 3 people. Its very well equipped. 7 blocks away from the Natural Sciense Museum, a half a block away from the subway. Just cross the central park to get to the MET. Groseries are near as much as a block away! The only thing is that it has no elevator, you must climb 4 floors by stairs, which is a big concern if you have mobility problems. Its clean and safe, security code for entrance. Dov was very reponsive to all our concerns, which werent many. A place to recommend.

Great location on quiet street
Very clean and neat. Ideal for our 16 day stay in NY. Owner response to plumbing issue sorted on same day. Comfortable and quiet location. Accurate description of property. Would not suit disabled or impaired as have to climb 5flights of stairs. Very secure and great location near bars shops etc.

Great Place
This is a very nice apartment, comfortable and Quiet, just some tips would have been nice to have a bedside cabinet, also a hand book on how to work the TV, Coffeemaker, also extra supply's toilet rolls, paper towels, plus two sets of keys.
but as I say this is a get place, and would stay there again
