About this house rental

Sweeping views of Morro Bay and the Rock from the deck and brand new hot tub. Steps to the spectacular estuary preserve. This spacious 2 bedroom home is surrounded by the estuary and 24 acre Sweet Springs Preserve. Walk around the Bay to Baywood for a spectacular sunrise or sunset. 4 miles from Montana De Oro with sweeping vistas, horseback riders, hang gliders and surfers play on its miles of beaches and trails. There is so much to do for those who appreciate the unexploited California Coastal experience. Travel by Kayak across the Bay to the Dunes. The home has been recently redecorated and updated, but not remodeled. The cabinets are oak and the counter tops are tiled. If you are looking for high end modern, this would not be the place. The home is unapologetically circa 1986.

There is a $150.00 cleaning fee and a 10.00 per day extra guest fee after 2 guests.

Los Osos is on the Central Coast of California - halfway between San Francisco and Los Angeles. Hearst Castle, Morro Bay Harbor, Avila Hot Springs, Wine Tasting, Golfing and Shopping are minutes away. This house is ten minutes from San Luis Obispo Airport. Family-owned and operated.

It is a well kept local hideaway that is not changing rapidly due to so many endangered species and environmentally sensitive restrictions on growth. We invite you to come and stay with us, understanding that this is a very quaint local community that treasures its residential way of life. We hope you can enjoy this rare and unique treasure on the California coast. It is not for everyone. Close your eyes and imagine what it was like to live in California circa 1962. Open your eyes and look out on this period in time and remember what it was like before everything became somewhat homogeneous and sterile. Enjoy it while you can.

We provide hand made cold pressed soap from quality, natural, top quality ingredients to add a spa like retreat for your stay. We use bromide in the hot tub. We strive to reduce single use plastic with almost completely zero waste products throughout the home. We strive to earn your 5 star review.

Well behaved, totally house broken dogs are welcome with a $125.00 pet fee (No Cats)Your dogs will love the fenced yard and the walks on leash. Dogs cannot be left alone in the house or yard. Damage fee can be waived on request if you don't bring your dog.

We love Baywood and have stayed there many times. We love the pace of life, the people, the access to so many beautiful natural areas and the friendly and yummy local restaurants. Staying here allowed us to add to that list the fresh local fish, produce, and products we cooked in the very well-stocked kitchen and enjoyed on the deck with birds,wildlife and prime views of Morro Rock. I'll also add that the hot tub and views from that we're icing on the cake. Everything about our stay was comfortable, relaxing and perfect. We hope to return!

This house is in a quiet and beautiful location near a preserve with walking trails. The house and view are as described. We enjoyed the beautiful view from the patio. The house is not fancy but has thoughtful touches and everything that we needed.

Stayed 6 nights, can't beat the view from the deck. Hot tub was good to use at end of each day hiking and walking the beaches and trails. Would stay again.

This property is for people who want a quiet retreat surrounded by beautiful nature. It had a great layout and backyard and excellent location for visiting the area. Walking around the Sweet Springs Preserve whenever we wanted was the highlight of our stay. Good communication with the host as well. We hope to return some day.

House was really clean and peaceful. However the weather was extremely cold and felt uncomfortable to stay on the deck. Walking path was right outside the front door but wasn’t what I thought it would be. Very short and far from the beach.

Pelican Cove was very comfortable, clean, and well appointed. The location is wonderful—just steps away from the Sweet Springs Nature Preserve and an easy walk to restaurants and the Monday Farmers Market. The owner, Kye, was responsive and gracious. We’d stay there again in a heartbeat.

2 people, 5 nights, Arrrival 05 May to Departure 10 May 2023. Good beds, quiet sleeping, instant heating, large sunny patio for breakfast and view of birds, tides, and dunes of the bay. Ready-to-use 104 Fahrenheit jacuzzi, large TV with Netflix and more. Well-equipped modern kitchen. New washer and dryer. Helpful little notes for best use of home items and for easy and adequate behavior. Nice contact with housekeeping. Everything was perfect and convenient. We would like to come back to enjoy this very well-maintained house and the natural surroundings.

Great place. Really enjoyed our stay. The only negative thing was the stairs as I'm disabled and use a cane but I did manage ok and have no regrets in staying here. I'd definitely stay here again 🙂

Our stay was ideal! Being on the edge of the Sweet Springs Nature Preserve allowed us to soak in the spectacular views and feel away from it all. The house was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. Thank you Kye! We look forward to returning.

Surprisingly private given how dense this area is developed, but neighbors are blocked by arrangement of deck and hot tub. Incredible view of Morro rock, the adjacent Audubon preserve and the estuary. Visited by quail in the mornings! Great locale for day trips. House is definitely dated, as described. Bed, deck furniture and couch comfortable. Really appreciate that dogs are allowed.

Perfect location looks across the Morro Bay Estuary at Morro Rock. Excellent board walk and birding viewing stations on the western flyaway. Property was clean and comfortable, well outfitted and a perfect location close to Montana de Oro as well. Plan of going back next winter.

Lovely spot ! My parents both 80+, our little dog and college age daughters . Everyone had a great time and the view, location was amazing. Looking forward to visiting again.

This is our fourth or fifth year in a row to visit pelican Cove. We enjoy it every year – and has a quiet setting, a good, functional hot tub, a great neighborhood, and the house is set up to take care of two couples, efficiently, and privately. We will be back again.

Very nice location and clean home. Would have given 5 stars except for the fact that the spa guy showed up unannounced which was unexpected. Overall stay was great though and the area is beautiful.

The house was just as described. It was clean and comfortable and very roomy. The location is perfect. We enjoyed walking in the preserve which made our stay extra enjoyable. The raised deck in the back is wonderful. We didn't want to leave. We definitely will be back.

Cute little house. Exceptionally good location. Property manager always available and helpful. Good vibe. One minor complaint was that the dishes, glasses and silverware weren’t really clean when we arrived, so we washed them all before using.

We all want to go back! The view and the atmosphere were perfect for a relaxing vacation. The pathways of the preserve and surrounding area were perfect for liesurely walks. Easy to get around town and Morro Bay is a close drive.
