About this bed and breakfast
Fleur de Marigny is a private guest suite that has been completely renovated with loving historic detail. It is spacious, with 12 ft ceilings, crown moldings, and original hardwood floors, and is conveniently located, yet residential and safe.
We take great pride in hosting our guests and accommodating all their needs during their stay in our wonderful city. The property is a historic "sidehall shotgun" style house, built in 1836. We have our own private residence in the back and are available 24/7. There are no other guests, only the one private suite for your exclusive enjoyment.
We do not serve breakfast, however we do provide snacks, beverages, and coffee, and there are several wonderful restaurant options within walking distance. The suite includes a bedroom with a queen size bed and full closet; a bathroom with a walk-in shower and vanity; an armoire housing a digital flat screen television with Apple TV; and a spacious living room with two large windows, and a comfortable sofa. The kitchenette is equipped with a mini-refrigerator, ice maker, microwave, sink, and coffee maker. Built-ins showcase a collection of New Orleans fiction and nonfiction favorites, along with a variety of local guidebooks. Central heating and air conditioning ensure your comfort.
From our convenient Touro Street location, all of the restaurants, shops, bars, galleries, and musical attractions of Frenchmen Street and the French Quarter are just a short walk away. Or catch the horse-drawn carriages right outside the front door. We are 3 blocks away from the streetcar stop, full grocery, pharmacy, bike rental, laundromat, Starbucks and bakery. There is plenty of free on street parking.
Our property is located in one of the most desired neighborhoods in New Orleans. VRBO groups our property into the larger Faubourg Marigny neighborhood, but within that larger neighborhood we are in the heart of the golden "Marigny Triangle" -- a small sliver of residences in a quiet, historic neighborhood spanning just several quaint blocks between Frenchmen Street and the French Quarter.

This was our first trip back to New Orleans since 2019. We were fortunate to be able to stay in this cozy, yet roomy apartment in the Marigny. We enjoyed all the comforts of the apartment, including owner supplied delicious coffee, drinks and snacks. It is located in a friendly, quiet neighborhood near Frenchmen Street and the French Quarter. We highly recommend this VRBO for your next trip to the Big Easy.

My wife and I were so excited when we first arrived. This is a very nice place and you really feel like you’re a part of the history of New Orleans. The location is excellent in a safe neighborhood that is walkable to everything you want to do. The host was excellent in every way, I highly recommend this property!

We spent 10 nights at this delightful VRBO property. Comfortably furnished and tastefully decorated with many antiques that fit perfectly with this classic 19th century New Orleans side hall cottage. Excellent location. A couple of blocks away from the music, restaurants, and shops of Frenchmen Street, and easy walking distance to many other of the cities tourist locations. Look no farther, you won't be disappointed.

Very comfortable and charming space in a safe neighborhood but close to all the action. 15 minute walk to Jackson Square and the quarter, 5 minute walk to Frenchman’s St. Don’t miss breakfast at Ruby Slippers next door

Lovely suite in a quiet location, always felt safe walking at night from the French Quarter. Ruby Slipper right around the corner-great spot for breakfast.

Extremely clean. Thoughtful touches, quick comms with our hosts. Quiet locale, but convenient. Near the stables, we enjoyed the clip clop of the carriages going by. Everything I was hoping for in a NOLA get-away.

My wife and I stayed here the first week of November 2023 and we loved this welcoming, cozy house as our home base. It's a 5-minute walk to Frenchman St. live jazz, and 30-minute or less walks to Bourbon St. and other popular spots. We visited the WWII Museum, the Casino on the river (lost $$), and so many restaurants and historic and quaint neighborhoods I can't list them all! The bed is super comfy and the bathroom has something unusual - hot water with good pressure! Our host, Laura, was so helpful and accommodating and even had a bottle of wine waiting for us when we arrived. She responded very quickly to any query we had . Don't think twice to stay here if you want to feel like a local and experience the true wonder of New Orleans!

An absolutely great location that’s close to Frenchman, an easy walk to Bourbon, and quiet at night. Laura strikes a balance of being available on site should you need her while being completely unobtrusive. This was a fantastic stay!

We had a great 4 day weekend in New Orleans here. We were just in the room at night but it was great. Location was perfect for walking to everything. 15 minutes to Jackson Square. I was a little apprehensive about walking through the city but we felt totally fine everywhere we went. Bed was comfortable, bottled water and wine were much appreciated! Would return without hesitation.

Convenient location to Frenchman St. And French Quarter but much quieter. Lots of room and comfortable bed. All the extra “treats” left for us was a welcome surprise. Will book when in NOLA again!

First visit to NOLA and our wedding anniversary. We had an incredible time! The property was perfect. An exceptionally clean, spacious, comfortable apartment. The decor is very French and romantic. The bed very comfortable. Lots of extra closet space and seating areas for relaxing and chilling out. The kitchenette was perfect and stocked with wonderful snacks, coffees and chilled water. A chilled bottle of wine was icing on the cake. The location was just a few blocks from the French Quarter, Jackson Square and Frenchman Street where you listen to the best music! The food was amazing and the host provided great recommendations and entertainment ideas. We can’t wait to come back and do it all again!

Loved this suite! It was the perfect place to stay for us while visiting New Orleans. We really liked the location which was within walking distance or a short Lyft ride of everywhere we wanted to go. The suite was clean and very comfortable. Brunch every morning at the Ruby Slipper Cafe on the corner was great! We’ll definitely be back!

This was a lovely Mardi Gras respite. It's spacious and comfortable, with all the amenities you need - including wine and coffee! The hosts are lovely, and the location is terrific. 5 minute walk to the French Quarter, just blocks from Frenchman, and even closer to Marigny haunts like R Bar and the Marigny Ruby Slipper location. We would absolutely stay here again.

My husband and I were looking for a place to stay that was near many sites we hoped to visit but not in the thick of the action because we didn’t want to deal with noise and people all hours of the night. Fleur de Marigny fit the bill perfectly! It was clean, comfortable, lovely, and within 15 minute walking distance of JAMnola, Jackson Square, the French Quarter in general, music venues on Frenchman Street, and a number of tasty restaurants. Ride shares were easily available to anything outside our walking range, and possibly my husband’s favorite part, we saw so many dogs out for walks, too!
We appreciated the little touches, too, like water and snacks available. Laura greeted us and answered any initial questions, and other than some noise one night at a bar a block away, our stay was quiet and pretty much perfect for our needs.

True to property listing. Free parking and we walked everywhere or ride the street car. Great neighborhood restaurants yet quiet at night. Owner provided some snacks, coffee and even a bottle of wine to start off our NOLA experience! Would definitely stay again! Thank you Laura and Steve!

I loved the historic home! Great food right down the road on Burgandy. French quarter within walking distance.

Loved the location was quiet and within short walking distance from both the French quarter and bourbon street. Only sound we heard was clip clop of horses going down the street in the morning, which was charming as far as noise goes. (we live in sf mission where we are used to a lot of sound) We went for halloween and wanted to be close enough to the action to not have to get in a car to travel around the city and not have a ton of crazy noise. Laura was easy to communicate with and greeted us upon entry. I was surprised the place was spotless (the last time I stayed near the French quarter in a place that was a great location but clearly worn in/not super clean) this spot was very very clean, comfortable and had thoughtful touches like wine in the fridge, glasses, plates, napkins, comfortable bed, extra blankets, a makeup washcloth, cute toiletries in the nice high ceiling shower that made it feel more like a hotel. It would be hard to have privacy if it wasn't a couple staying here but the listing is direct about it being on the smaller side. The size was great, and so nice to be so well situated location wise that you could return to room to change or take a break easily instead of having to stay out all day. LOVED this place + would def recommend staying + going to the ruby slipper for breakfast around the corner.

Located in the Maringy neighborhood was just perfect! We are at Ruby Slipper every morning right around the corner. Location was perfect for going to Frenchman street to listen to music and a short walk to French Quarter. Lovely place: clean, snacks, water and a bottle of wine! Our kind of place to stay!’ Would stay her again. Laur was responsive and a great hostess!
