We returned to this house for a second visit after discovering how great it was! It is equipped very well for a large group and we have felt very home staying there. The house is furnished to a high standard and it feels like a treat to live there for a week.
Highlights were 'bean and batch' coffee and buns and jumping off Templenoe Pier.
We would love to return again if circumstances allow.

We had a great time in Aileen‘s house. The house is spacious, comfortable and has an amazing view on the bay. It‘s actually better than I expected from the pictures. There are many things to do in the area.

I stayed here with eleven other members of my family for a week in July 2024. The house offered fantastic views over Kenmare Bay, spacious rooms, a fantastic outdoor space and every amenity needed for a relaxing holiday. Everything detailed in the About this property is very accurate. The showers were great, the extra fridge freezer was very useful. The younger generation really appreciated the long mirrors in some of the bedrooms. The welcome pack was a lovely touch and was appreciated by all.
The location of the house was fabulous as it was only ten minutes drive from the lovely town of Kenmare, which had so many wonderful pubs and places to eat.
Some members of my family enjoyed golf in the very scenic Ring Of Kerry Golf Course, which is only five minutes away from the property.
We explored the local areas and had day trips to Cork, Kinsale, Killarney, Dingle and the Ring Of Kerry.
Aileen was a fantastic host, her suggestions and information that she sent before our visit was very helpful and allowed us to plan our daily itineraries.
We had a super week at Aileen's house and would recommend it to anyone.
We were also very fortunate to have lovely weather which made the holiday even better.
Thank you Aileen for sharing your lovely house with us and trusting us to take care of it. We had a very memorable holiday.

A beautiful house for our large family. The home boasts stunning views of Kenmare Bay and offers all the amenities. The kitchen is well-equipped and the bedrooms are lovely. Aileen anticipated our every need and was responsive to any questions we had.

Overall this was the best place we stayed at in our holiday.
Plenty of space, a nice open kitchen, plenty of bedrooms. Excellent value. It's about a 10 minute drive from Kenmare town which is a nice place to spend an afternoon or evening. Aileen was open and communicative to provide us with support.
A couple of nitpicks:
The renter should make sure to have the photo of the property on hand when arriving at the location. This part of Ireland doesn't use street addresses and you'll need to follow written directions to find the place. We followed the directions carefully and still got the wrong home before the neighbors kindly corrected us.
There is wifi in the rental but the signal doesn't reach every bedroom.
On the whole, well worth the price.

Set in a beautiful location really close to lovely Kenmare with all its amebities, this house had lots of space. 5 very comfortable large doubles and a very cute room for kids to sleep in singles. The fire pit was nice and the lighting around it all was a nice touch. Unfortunately the weather didn't allow us to quite enjoy it with the bi-folds fully open!
Aileen was incredibly communicative before and throughout our stay, making great recommendations for things to do and responding to any queries.
We had a great family holiday, and it didn't feel small even with 11 adults in there, and 2 toddlers running around! Would love to stay again sometime.

Great house for a large group. Extremely well equipped and decorated to a high standard.
The kids room is gorgeous.
We had a wonderful stay and we would highly recommend

This was such a special holiday in such a special property! Wow! Look at the pictures and then multiply by a thousand 😊 Aileen is a fabulous host and was brilliant with suggestions and information, so friendly and accommodating. The house is something else - luxurious, and brilliantly comfortable. Fabulous rooms and lovely to have fire pit and water feature. The views at the front across the bay to the mountains are breathtaking. Fantastic holiday!

We stayed at Aileen’s place just west of Kenmare for 8 days while meeting up with other family and relatives. The house was as advertised, it has plenty of space with 6 bedrooms and 3 baths. A wonderful kitchen with a large table that we sat 12 people for a meal. The view of Kenmare Bay and the Beara peninsula is beautiful. You are nestled in about the cow pastures. A really beautiful and peaceful place. Aileen will have all sorts of suggestions for activities for. We had a great time.

The descriptions of the place are accurate but still don’t do it Justice. Everyone of us nine loved it and made it our home. And the view from the house is spectacular. The host, Aileen was easy to reach but we really didn’t need to as we found everything easily. I would go back and I would recommend it without any hesitation.

We had a wonderful stay. We were 10 adults and 1 child and the house was big enough that everyone could have space for themselves as well and at the same time offered enough possibilities to sit together comfortably. The kitchen is, like the whole house, great equipped and there was nothing we would have missed, although we also cooked a lot.
The beds were good, just a little too soft for us in places.
The location is an absolute dream and the starry sky overwhelming.
Aileen is a great host and did everything she could to make us feel at home. The wealth of tips and recommendations she had for us were just great. If we had any questions, she was always available and very helpful. We would definitely come back again.
Thank you very much for the wonderful time.

This home was very well appointed. Very nice bed linens. The kitchen was set up nicely to make family dinner. The view from the front of the property is amazing. Everything was as advertised. Fire pit and waterfall in the back were beautiful. It's a lovely home.
4.9
A perfect venue for entertaining or shared family fun. Huge kitchen and lovely outdoor space for dining alfresco. You're a short drive from Kenmare and a medium drive to fabulous beaches, but if it rains you won't regret coming - the house is very large with plenty of room for dining, games or just finding a quiet space to yourself.
Aileen is an excellent host and very responsive. There's a detailed welcome pack that explains everything from operating the boiler to refilling the coffee machine!
One quite key issue - the double beds are quite small. In fact, one of them has an even smaller mattress so very tricky to fit two people.
Various maintenance issues as well - pieces missing from every puzzle and game, no blind on one of the bedroom windows (in mid summer!), no lock or catch on that bedroom door, a few bulbs blown/missing and a weird tap that shoots water over the bathroom sink!
The house is really special though, and given Aileen's attention to her guests I'm sure small issues will be sorted soon.

My family came over from the USA to visit and we couldn’t have chosen a more perfect house for our 9 night holiday. Aileen was a very gracious and responsive host who have a wide variety of recommendations for activities in the area to get us started. The house itself was wonderfully equipped and stylishly decorated. We spent many happy hours preparing food, playing card/board games, and just spending time together in a lovely location. All family members commented on how comfortable the beds were. We were so pleased with everything and I can’t rate the experience any higher!!

Stunning and peaceful location for a family holiday.
Lots to see around the area and picturesque walking routes.
The house is fabulous for a large group with lots of space.

Aileen is an excellent host - nothing is too much trouble. Our family had a brilliant holiday here - the house was the perfect base for touring Kerry.

Really enjoyed our stay here. The house is exactly as described and is beautifully decorated. The location is amazing with gorgeous view and Aileen was so accomdating, providing loads of information on where to go and what to do. She responded quickly to any queries we had which was great.

We stayed in this lovely home over the holiday week. It is truly a gem with beautiful views, close proximity to Kenmare and enough space to spread out and relax. We loved it and the owner is wonderful to work with! I can't recommend it enough and hope to go back.

We spent a wonderful week in Radharc na mara. The house is spacious and well-decorated, there was ample room for the children to play why the adults needed some down time. The view over the Kenmare river and the mountains of the Beara peninsula from the front rooms is just breathtaking. On our arrival, we were escorted to the house by friendly neighbours, and Aileen, the owner, was always helpful whenever we had a question to ask. A perfect holiday accommodation for a family trip!
4.9
Really enjoyed our stay at this lovely house, so much to see and do in the area, one week was not enough! Wish we had had better weather to make use of the outside fire. Would love to return some day.
4.9
Lovely time staying in this spacious property. Aileen was very kind and supportive. The house was as advertised and we found the beds comfortable and the facilities fine. Many thanks. We would recommend this beautiful spot for a holiday.
4.9
Lovely property with spectacular views of the Bay. Home is beautiful and well maintained. Aileen is a wonderful host and provided many excellent suggestions and recommendations.
4.9
Aileen is such a nice person and helped us all time. The location is perfekt. We were a group of 7 people from Germany and had more than enough space. It felt like beeing home. We would book it again
4.9
Our family loved this home just outside Kenmare. There were 11 of us and the home was a perfect location for our first visit to County Kerry. Aileen was a quick to respond to questions we had. We had a great time and hope to return for another stay!
4.9
The home was all we had hoped for by being beautiful, roomy, and exceptionally clean.
There's a nice fire pit outside but you need to buy/bring your own charcoal.
The owner was very pleasant and responsive to deal with though we never met her face-to-face. She answered all communications promptly.
We found there to be ample room for our family of 9 adults to spread out and hang out.
Worth mentioning though- this property is only accessible via rented cars. There are no cabs we could find willing to get us there or pick us up which caused hours of delay for one couple in our group. The roads are nearly impossible to walk on as there's no shoulder so only go if a car is part of your plan.
Our family felt that a few changes should be made to the house for future guests . . the stove is nearly impossible to figure out how to use and cook on as it turns off if you pass one pot over another burner. Some mattresses need to be replaced especially the twins. The adults in that room ended up sleeping on the floor as they were too uncomfortable to sleep on beds. After long days hiking folks need more comfortable mattresses especially when on vacation.

Words cannot express how beautiful our experience was. We had a group of 13 and before we arrived we were concerned about whether the house would be comfortable for our group. It was more than spacious enough. The property was also large we did Yoga in the front lawn as it was so pretty and star-gazed in the night. The local pubs and shops are awesome, Kenmare was written about in our local paper as a hidden gem of Ireland. Also the location of the house made day trips to Beara Peninsula, Dingle, Killarney and Cork manageable, each of which was lovely in its own way. Thank-you so much for providing such a beautiful house for our three generation family to enjoy. Your country is beautiful as are the people. We will be back!

We were 9 vacationing for 12 days. The vacation experience blew us away!

The house was exactly what we were looking for. There were no surprises. We had 11 adults in our party and had plenty of space. Very comfortable. It was in a great location convenient to everything on the west coast.
4.9
The property was great, the views over kenmare bay were fantastic.
Plenty of room for all 13 of us 5 children and 8 adults.
4.9
We had a family of 11 people visit the Kenmare area and stayed at this lovely home and had the BEST time. Everyone loved the house and location is unbelievably beautiful. The house is well maintained and perfect for a group. We already want to come back and know exactly where we will stay!

Cappnacush is a hamlet a few miles from Kenmare so at this house, you can soak up the remoteness of this area, see the sunrise over the bay and take a walk down the empty lane whilst being near enough to shops cafes and pubs with famous Irish hospitality. We had a lovely well thought out hamper awaiting us as we came into this gorgeous property. The house is spacious, warm and well thought out in design. We had 7 kids tearing about and 6 adults in our party and we never felt cramped. The large dining table in the kitchen area was perfect for us and we loved the smaller, more formal dining room with views too. One of our party commented that normally in a rental property, one bedroom has a good finish and the rest are mediocre but here all were beautifully fitted out with fantastic beds, shabby chic furniture and stylish farrow and ball colours. All fittings are good quality, stylish and sturdy so even with the kids we weren't worried that something would get spoiled. The crockery was lovely to use (we loved all the artisan serving bowls and platters) and the kitchen is well fitted out. The house feels like a well loved family home and a 5 star hotel all in one! We made great use of the firepit and enjoyed the cosy fire in the sitting room (by arrangement). Great location for both the ring of Kerry and the ring of Beare, lovely activities (horse riding, canoeing, swimming, seafari, walks on the Kerry way) nearby and about an hour to famous spots like Caherdaniel beach, Molls Gap and Macross House/Torc falls. There is plenty of garden to roam in to the front with the firepit and garage at the back. The visitor info was second to none with lovely books explaining everything. Our tips if you book this property are: remember the hot water is on emersion (we ran out a couple of times because we forgot to flick the switch). The upstairs skylights shouldn't be open wide at night....you'll get the sideways rain in! Bring eye masks if you are in upstairs rooms as skylight has no blind (not a criticism just a hint if you need dark - downstairs have great shutters), when it rains go out anyway, we found it brightened up to blue skies every day despite dismal forecasts, try Paul at Skellig Michael Cruises if you want to visit Star Wars Island - he rang us every day to try to get us out there despite raging seas! Plenty to do for everyone here...enjoy!

This is a beautiful house great amenities. Very good showers unusual for Ireland. Tastefully decorated throughout. The views are amazing from mountains to the ocean. Great hiking, lovely drives, good shopping, fantastic bars and freshest seafood anywhere. A wonderful house for families, couples or friends.

Aileen is an excellent host and will give good suggestions of places to see as well as eat
We had a superb time in this stunning location

Returned from Ireland a week ago and I'm not happy about it. I miss the Emerald Isle and all of its wonder. Traveling in a group of ten, we spent time in Dublin and then came to Kenmare Bay. The views from this house are truly stunning. You do have to drive a bit up the hillside to get to the house but that was not difficult. We had hired a private driver and a coach for the trip and still had no problem with the roads. The house itself was wonderful. Very welcoming and comfortable. Well kept with modern appliances. There are three bedrooms on the first floor which was great for us as one member in our party was 75 and prefers not to do stairs. Two bathrooms on the first floor and one on the second. Decorated beautifully. I very much enjoyed working with the owner of the house. She was very helpful and gave us some wonderful suggestions of things to do. From this location we headed out to the Ring of Kerry and Killarney one day. One day to Cork and Kinsale. One day to Cobh and Blarney and then some time in Kenmare. Great location for day trips. We had some hikers in our group and they were able to hook up with the Kerry Way trails which are marked by signs in Kenmare. I believe you can go all the way to the Killarney National Forest from these trails. We made some wonderful memories here that I will always cherish.
4.9
The house is modern and has a huge modern kitchen with granite worktops. One side provides a breakfast bar on the dining area side of the room. It's very easy to keep clean as are the hardwood floors. There are bedrooms and well appointed bathrooms on the ground as well as the first floor.
Outside the dining area of the kitchen/dining room is a covered sitting out area with a fire pit which we did not use but would be good for BBQs. There is also a large sitting room with fireplace which we also did not use because it was beautiful June weather.
The location half way up the hill overlooking Kenmare bay is fabulous and one can drive down to a pier for boating and swimming in the bay.
Going to opposite way, there are great drives over the hill/mountain to the Blackwater Valley, Molls Gap and Killarney. And it's also very handy to be so close to Kenmare ( about 10 mins drive) as well as to be able to go along the Ring of Kerry towards Derrynane.
Altogether a wonderful holiday.

We had 2 families stay here for a wedding event in Kenmare. There was plenty of room and very comfortable for all 11 of us. Aileen was wonderful to work with and gave us suggestions on things to do when we weren't at wedding events. Love the view! The only challenge was getting up the driveway. :-)

we found the home clean, well furnished, and comfortable. The kitchen had all the pots and pans and bowls of home. Kenmare is a wonderful town and convenient to day trips we had planned. Aileen was wonderful with great suggestions of points of interest. Thank you so much.

House was lovely. There were nine of us for my husband's 30th birthday. It was perfect and comfortably fit us all. Everyone had a blast and I would highly recommend the property to anyone!
