Retreat to the woods at this great Sautee Nacoochee cabin with a private hot tub, a pool table, and fantastic mountain views! Nestled among verdant trees in a quiet neighborhood, it's peaceful and calm. With the town of Helen just over six miles away, this cabin is both near enough to entertainment and far enough away that you can enjoy solitude and privacy. Make sure to experience all there is in this neck of the woods! Bring the camera on the hike to Dukes Creek waterfall, or try paddleboarding or the zip line at Unicoi State Park.
The scenery is stunning, with striking panoramic views of the forests and mountains and the custom-built wood and stone of the cabin. The living area features large windows that let in lots of natural light, a TV and DVD player, and an electric fireplace you can snuggle in front of. Upstairs in the loft, there's a pool table where you can work on your trick shots. Log onto the WiFi to choose a recipe for the evening's supper, then head to the kitchen.
With lots of space and stainless steel appliances, this kitchen is a dream to work in. There's no better way to start a lazy Sunday morning than with a lovingly prepared brunch for the whole crew! If you want to grill at any point, there's a gas barbecue on the downstairs deck where you can fry up some burgers.
In addition to the grill, the lower deck has the crown jewel of this home - the private hot tub. Soak away your cares, then grab a mug of hot cocoa and head to the upper decks to watch the stars shine out over the mountains. We hope you brought makings for s'mores - the firepit in the backyard is ready for you to heat tasty treats.
The primary suite has a jetted tub in the bathroom and French doors leading out onto a screened upper deck. Each bedroom has a TV, and there is a futon, as well as two twin rollaway beds to make sure everyone has comfy sleeping space.
Don't fret over clean linens - we've got you covered with a private washer/dryer.

The quietness and beauty of the home

The house is gorgeous. The views in the mornings were beautiful. I will return for pleasure so that I can fully enjoy the cabin. This is a great place to stay when you are in Helen, Georgia or surrounding areas.

The whole experience was top notch! The location was great and the home beautiful. We will definitely be back.

Beautiful cabin with everything you could possibly need and more. Close to Helen but away from it all. We loved the pool table and hot tub and the bear decor throughout. Only problem was the shower upstairs leaked into the bedroom downstairs and we couldn't get someone to fix after several calls to the local office. Assuming they get that fixed, I would highly recommend as everything else was great.

Property was very nice and perfect for our girls trip! It was close to many things but far enough that we felt like we were away from all of the busyness. Great trip!

So we absolutely loved this cabin, it was beautiful and was even prettier in person. However, after the first night there we noticed a strange bite on my 3 year old’s arm and I had several as well. I figured we were in the mountains and there are bugs everywhere, and somewhat just dismissed it. The following morning I woke up with another bite on my face. We had the cabin for a total of 4 nights and on the 4th night (we had a late night), my husband was fixing the pillows and found a bug crawling on the mattress under the pillows. He called me in there and we looked it up and it was a bed bug. He realized he had also seen a dead one in our kids bed the day before when he was fixing their sheets and blankets. He said he had gotten it off, but hadn’t thought too much about it. Even though I rented it through here, I contacted Vacasa since it was their property. I emailed them and let them know what we found, attached the pictures, and let them know we were packing up our car and three children and driving 4 hours home at 1:4o in the morning. I had not gotten a reply for my email, so I called the next day and stayed on hold for Vacasa for 25 minutes before anyone answered. The woman was very friendly and had me email her the pictures, she also pulled up my email from the night before. She agreed it was definitely a bed bug and said she would send an email tj the property manager and ask about compensation as well. She said the property manager would cal me about the situation probably the following day. I never got a phone call, but they did refund a small amount. I assume for the one night we left. I feel as though the situation was brushed off and bowls handled correctly on their end. All of our stuff had to be brought in carefully and washed, some had to stay in the hot car for several days because heat is the only thing that really kills bed bugs, and we did find one in my husbands suitcase while unpacking it outside. We have a neighbor that works for an extermination company and he said if we got them, we’re looking at $700-$800+ Service to have them removed. It was such a hassle and quite honestly, I’m pretty scared to stay anywhere besides my own house now. I felt like they should’ve called and actually had a conversation about it, and that they would’ve said wether they’re going to handle the issue or what they’re doing about it. I wrote a review on the cabin on their page as well, but they deleted it. I’m upset with Vacasa and will not use.

Absolutely wonderful vacation home. We took a girls trip here to go tubing. The home was cozy and great for pets. Quiet neighborhood. The best part in my opinion was the location. We were close to town and could drive back and forth easily. We were unsure about the rock wall behind the jacuzzi if it worked or not. One downside I had was not receiving the door code. I had to call the day of to get the code. Second downside was the info regarding laundry service for towels but then there wasn’t any instructions of where to take them. Every time we went to the vacasa location down the road for trash dump no one was ever there and no times posted on the door. Instructions need to be more specific for this.

This home is on top of a mountain and is surrounded by mountains. 10 minutes from Helen. 5 minutes from Unicoi state park. Nicely maintained and easy to access due to paved roads all the way up to it. Quiet neighborhood with a mixture of rentals and homeowners.

This cabin had everything you could need. We used it all, hot tub, pool table, kitchen and accessories and fire pit. We were sad when the very cold and strong winds created a power outage for all surrounding areas at 2:30 am and by morning we thought we would need to leave since there was no power, heat, electric, gas, or water. Had been in the 20's and that night was to get in the teens. Just as we started to pack, the power came on at 1:00pm. YAHOO. We had enjoyed the town of Helen with several days of dining (not cheap) put-put golf, gem mining, general touring and waterfalls. Dukes Creek was a nice little hike with a beautiful waterfall and Anna Ruby Falls has a wonderful path up to a fabulous waterfall. Only 3 things to make note of, 5 different dogs were off leash and 4 were on this property with no owner in site. I was always nervous when walking my little pomeranian. The fire alarm is right in the kitchen and anytime the toaster was used or the oven door opened the alarm would go off, had to have someone stand by with a towel to wave in front of it to keep the dog from a trembling mess. Slight urine smell in the loft area by the pool sticks, I know we always keep a doggie diaper on our dog when in a new place so it wasnt from our dog. Those were minor (except for loose dogs) so our stay was wonderful. Location was great and the little store had everything we were looking for.

My husband and I had a great stay at this cabin. The photos are exactly what you get in person. We had a very rainy day and the cabin was fully equipped with games and entertainment. My only complaint was that we couldn’t extend it another day! :)

I had a good experience we slept well, the home was spacious, location was good and it was just what my wife and I needed. The blender needed to be cleaned as did the the coffee pot it was also dirty. Did not like having to haul our trash to several miles away in our car so that is problematic and probably would not rent again because of that. Other than that it was a wonderful place. I would like to speak with the owners about selling. My wife an I are looking for a short term rental and if you could put us in touch, we would continue to use your services. All the best, Darren & Darla Nofziger

I'm not sure about 'communication with the property manager'. Was that Vacasa? I talked with several people but no one seemed to be local. Arrival was good. The house is very nice. We had a great Friday night and Saturday. Sunday morning the snow was beautiful and the kids were excited. Just about daybreak we lost power. This was a widespread outage. No power, no heat, and no water. With our limited cell phone service we came to understand that it was only going to get worse and we needed to get out quickly. So we lost the last 24 hours of our much needed get away. I know that the weather is beyond your control but some backup resources would have kept us there. The local staff could have advised us before hand about having water on hand for flushing and a gas fireplace, propane heater or generator would have saved the trip.

The cabin was centrally located, bright and airy for our family to spread out. Felt secluded, yet close to Helen and the state park. Tiffany the property manager was amazing and accommodating. We will definitely be booking another trip through Vacasa and would love to either stay at this property again or one nearby.

The cabin was spacious and had plenty of room for our family. The driveway is paved and wasn't hard to get in and out. The kitchen has a lot of pots and pans, coffee maker, waffle maker and the grill outside was really nice. The bedroom TVs were really small though and hard to see the guide from a distance. Overall, it was a great place to stay with all it had in the cabin.

The cabin is lovely. We got such a kick out of all the 'bear' things in every room. There were so many and it was so cute that we had a contest to see who could guess how many bears were in the cabin. Then, we took a picture of EVERYTHING with bears on it, and counted them. There are 281 bears in this fabulous cabin. Everything from salt and pepper shakers, napkin holders, rugs, pillows, blankets, shower curtain holders, closet door knobs, pictures, knick knacks, wall art, candles, there is even a small wooden outhouse in one of the bathrooms with a little stuffed bear in it. It was so much fun. We loved the deck and the hot tub, played Cornhole with the game provided, had a pool tournament and played many games. Thank you so much for a wonderful time. I highly recommend this cabin for a fun getaway!
