We had a great time! The grandchildren absolutely loved all of the wildlife. We had the pleasure of seeing 3 different types of monkeys all over the airplane and they loved feeding them bananas. There were lizards and one morning we saw a pair of macaws fly by. Must say that the walk to the beach and back is difficult really need a car. Very beautiful area and the weather was perfect 🌞

Fantastic and unique stay. Just understand that it is part of a hotel and not separate like most vrbos. That comes with some perks though like room service and cleaning. The 727 was very comfortable and such a great experience. The balconies over the wings were great with nice rocking chairs and great views. Got to see monkeys right from our home a few times. Felt remote enough even though you're on the grounds of the costa verde hotel.

It was a unique stay but not worth the high price point. It’s part of costa verde resort and you can use their pools and driver to get to their restaurants which was nice (and the food good, well priced and excellent service). There were some things that were listed on the VRBO listing that was a bit misleading: There was no laundry on site. (The listing said washer- and I planned to wash clothes but had to send out our laundry for quite a high price. There was no kayak or water sports gear as listed in the rental listing. Maybe to rent in the beach but we never saw that. There were tours you could go in at an additional cost. It said beach towels in the listing also and the staff were adamant you don’t take the towels to the beach.) The views however were amazing. The animals all around the resort (monkeys, sloth, raccoons) were fun to see. This is built in a hill and quite a walk to everywhere but manageable even with kids. The two pools were not busy and the beach was amazing (a very hilly walk to get there and back though). There were some maintenance issues with the plane that I mentioned upon checkout and hopefully will be addressed. I like being woken up to light streaming in so that was nice but if you want black out shades, keep this in mind.

This must have been the most special place we’ve ever stayed and we made everlasting memories. The location and views are amazing. The bathtub on the patio makes it extra special to watch the sunset.

We stayed in this 727 with spectacular views of the ocean. The rooms were comfortable and we lacked for nothing. Staying here, with access to the resort’s pools, and many eateries nearby is a must. Pictures don’t do this justice.

We loved our stay here. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The view was simply stunning, and we were surrounded by wildlife. There were restaurants within walking distance. We would definitely recommend the property!

This was a very unique place to stay! We surprised our family with this place and everyone was so excited. We are a family of 6 and we had plenty of space. We loved sitting out on the deck and listening to and seeing all the wildlife, especially the monkeys and the sloth. We enjoyed walking around the trails on the property. El Avion was s fun place to eat and the kids loved the zip coaster that was near the main entrance. We felt safe the whole time and there were security guards stationed at entrance during the night. The staff was friendly and responsive. Wish we could have stayed longer than 1 night!

Loved the plane. Very private. A/c worked really good! Saw monkeys and a sloth from our balcony. Great location. Highly recommend.

Much larger than expected! Plenty of room for a family of four. Wildlife such as sloths, several species of monkeys, and more from the patio

Such a unique property to stay at. Within one hour of checking in we had monkeys all over the deck. The views were fantastic as well. There was ample room for us inside and it was super clean and well maintained.
Check-in was a breeze and the location was perfect - easy to get to restaurants, the pool and the beach. We would definitely stay here again!!

Really special property. My family and i will never forget our stay here. Wildlife was as advertised, there was a sloth on the tree right in front of our balcony. Monkeys came by every morning and evening. The location was excellent and easy to get to the beach and super easy to walk to nearby restaurants. Book it, you wont regret it!

This is a unique place to stay that will bring memories back for years to come.
A few things made the experience a little less than a full on 10. They could have been to have done more of the cockpit as now it is just two seats in the bathroom (maybe a sofa to enjoy the views). Also arriving the airplane was covered in plastic sheeting making it feel a little less pristine. Lastly it is situated in the middle of a resort which is different from the feel you get from the pictures.
Overall though it is an place I can recommend to anyone looking for something unique and different.

If you are a family with young kids and plan a trip to Manuel Antonio, this is the perfect spot. Our kids were thrilled to be staying in an airplane! It was even better that we could spot so much wildlife right from our balconies. We saw raccoons, toucans, lizards, hummingbirds, parrots, and best of all monkeys! One morning a gang of capuchins we're on our porch and one squirrel monkey watched on from a safe distance. It was monkey chaos, but so much fun. These will be memories for a lifetime! Thanks for the great accomodations and wonderful restaurants on site!

The B727 stay was one of the coolest experiences we have done. I can’t recommend this enough for both aviation/non aviation lovers alike.

This property is a must! It was absolutely amazing. The views are spectacular and pictures do not do it justice. It's such a fun place to stay and relax! The property has so many options for food and recreation. It is also a short walk or drive to the beach! I cannot wait to visit again.

This place is incredibly impressive in person, no matter how many pictures you see of it online. Simply very cool!! The inside and outside spaces feel spacious, comfortable and beautifully decorated. The patio/decks are large and the views are truly priceless. One of my teenage sons never left the hammock on one of them. Unfortunately we never caught a glimpse of all the wildlife that the other reviewers mentioned but our stay was quite short. A more incredible view of Costa Rica would be hard to find. Insanely memorable and an overnight we will be talking about and sharing with others without question!
With that being said, the smell of mildew was almost overbearing. When we were brought to the plane at check in, we figured the air conditioning, fans and opening the doors for a bit would help but the smell never subsided. There clearly had been a leak somewhere because there was a huge tarp draped over about a quarter of the plane. We were also incredibly lucky with the weather because all 3 air conditioning units stopped working by late evening but the plane didn’t get too warm until we were packing up to leave the next morning.
Overall, a truly unforgettable experience and so thankful it was briefly available during our stay in Manuel Antonio.

Such a unique place to stay!!! Coupled with that it is a very comfortable space perfect for two couples or a family. The living space is in the center with a large bedroom and bath on each end. Then a large patio on both sides. We sat out in the patio each night and listened to the frogs and the ocean!! Just amazing

Accommodations were great. Not Ritz Carlton, but clean, air conditioned and everything we needed. The resort had a couple pools and could walk to the beach in 10 minutes. The restaurant on property was great, and great restaurants nearby too.

Stepping aboard the 727, we were instantly transported to another world, made of jaw-dropping sunsets, picture perfect views and amazing jungle wildlife. Waking up in the rain forest our first morning, we were greeted on the spacious deck by two beautiful Toucans, followed by the sweetest capuchin monkeys we could ever imagine. I have to admit that after staring at the pictures online of this amazing place for previous months, and watching some of the online videos, I almost began to think that it couldn't possibly meet my high expectations of how wonderful it would be to stay there. I was dead wrong, as it was even better than my highest expectations, and was ... PERFECT! I could sit on that deck, enjoyimg great Costa Rica coffee and staring at the amazing views ... forever. I have to say, this is by far the most outstanding place we have ever had the privileges to have stayed. Also, even though we arrived after midnight from a late flight, the staff was ready for us and the front desk super attentive throughout our stay. Thank you Faith, for making this vacation the memory of a lifetime. WE LOVE THE 727, and want to return as soon as we can! The 727 experience will stay in our memories for years to come. THANK YOU!!

My partner had a major seizure and stopped breathing.. called 911.. took quite long for anyone to arrive and when they did there was 3 NON speaking English people.. I put the problem in phone to translate and they had NO idea how to help me!!! They stopped him off at a facility in Quepos and left him! When I arrived no one could speak English or knew who he was or where to find him!!! Really bad experience!!!

The family could only book One night here so we sandwiched a night around 3 days before and after At Costa Verde. It is a bit of a steep staircase to the plane but that’s soon forgotten. The views are spectacular, the 2 balconies are fun and the plane is roomy. Decorations are minimal but hey, you really are in a plane fuselage and it has that vibe! The showers are memorable and transport you to another time. I made cheese/bean quesadillas for dinner and a full breakfast for my family but this is a glamp-ing kitchen set up so expect very very little. Full size fridge was nice. Spider monkeys came to visit - CRAZY- and I saw 2 beautiful Tucans. (White faced monkeys weren’t around like in the Villas.) Check in was great and I can’t say enough about Jason at the front desk ! He’s a GEM. He arranged an awesome Atv/Rainmaker tour and covid testing. He also made sure communication was good with our fishing charter out of Quepos. The resort is very laid back and established with in the natural elements. Communication with VRBO host was flawless - payment etc was fine. The 727 is even better than the pictures but I would have loved to see more books, photobooks, flyers etc about the planes history and getting it up here ! Maybe I missed it ??

Our kids loved it, as did we! It was a close walk to the beach and such a unique place to stay. We woke to monkeys all around us - in the trees, on the decks and on top of the plane!

The 727 provided a very unique experience for our family in Manuel Antonio. We were greeted daily by various monkeys, had incredible views of the ocean while enjoying all the jungle has to offer. Very spacious and lovely quarters. Our only complaint was what others have commented on before us- the hotel is extremely conservative with the towels. Yes, you can exchange towels but that gets old when you have to exchange them twice a day since you are expected to use the same towels for the shower and pool. My recommendation is provide two towels per person- seems reasonable and is better customer service. All communication was with the hotel staff, none with the owner, but was easy enough aside from the towels. Overall, we had a wonderful experience!

Surprised our kids with our first stop of vacation. Such a fun place, clean and pretty views.

Tons of space, comfortable beds and showers and the plane was so cool! Our kids were in heaven the whole time!As an added bonus we woke up to a troop of monkeys on our deck one of the days. They played for about 45 minutes and swung from the lights outside. Best place we’ve ever stayed with our kids!

We'll remember our stay at this airplane for the rest of our lives. We visited toward the end of May and did have a lot of rain during our stay, so the covered porches were perfect. We loved watching monkeys jump from the trees. The hammocks were a blast. Our communication before, during, and after check-in was excellent. We are staying in Costa Rica for 8 weeks and wanted one night to splurge & have a very unique stay. This checked the box for this well!Overall, our stay was amazing, however, it was an expensive night and we felt our stay could be improved with a few small changes. 1) Additional towels. Signs were posted that just 6 towels are included. We didn't get the vibe we could ask for more for the beach/pool. At the price point, extra towels is a small way to help add value to a guest's stay. This has been a standard in other spots we have stayed all over Costa Rica the last 5 weeks. 2) Bowls - just one bowl in the kitchen. Our family was fine eating cereal out of mugs, but again, for the price point, it'd be nice to have it more well-stocked. 3) A king-size bed - the Master Bedroom is incredibly spacious & a King would fit easily inside the space. We knew from the listing we were only having a queen but felt at the price point, it would probably be an excellent investment for this property. Overall, LOVED our stay. Just posting these comments as I think tiny small, relatively low-cost changes would help other guests love their experience staying here even more!

This place was truly stunning to say the least. We will definitely be coming back .The only thing I would suggest is maybe spraying the outside of the plane so red ants dont go in..other than that our whole experience was truly amazing.
