The 2nd floor deck offers the most sweeping & spectacular views from any house in Chincoteague...
At ground level, there are expansive wood decks, and a long bulkhead for crabbing and tying up boats and plenty of sun or shade (with seating and dining areas) depending on your preference. Hammocks. Plus several shaded picnic table and seating areas.

The primary suite in the guest house is an ideal choice for the special couple... whether you are planning a Chincoteague Wedding, a Golden Anniversary, or anything in between. Email for more details..
The 2nd floor of the Guest House has two additional rooms: One is right over the creek with the best view of all, with a sleep sofa. This is the best room on a mid-winter sunny afternoon. The other has two twin beds. Both rooms share a bath. Use of these rooms increases the capacity of the house to 16.
Extensive ground level wooden decks all along the bulkhead, hammocks, lots of deck furniture provide many spaces for relaxation.
The ladder down the side of the bulkhead to the floating dock makes boating and swimming easier. Bring water shoes!
NOTES: if you bring small children the waterside dock areas will require you to exercise constant vigilance over them. The upper decks offer more enclosed outdoor areas. We really enjoyed our stay on Deep Hole Creek. The view is amazing and the house is spacious and clean. We loved the huge beautiful kitchen and the numerous bed and bathrooms.

Beautiful waterfront property
Two families had a blast with this waterfront property. Lots of kayaking and SUP. Gorgeous views. Great proximity to Assateague.

Our stay at Eureka and Epiphany
Both houses were great - well equipped and beautifully situated on Deep Hole Creek. The views were magnificent. We had a wonderful time and thank Blair for everything!

Lovely home
We loved our stay in this lovely peaceful home! This was our first trip to Chincoteague island and Eureka! What a wonder home with beautiful views of the water to celebrate our friends 50th Birthday. We loved being able to fish and swim right of the docks, and having access to the water sport equipment or just hanging out on the deck to take in the beautiful scenery. This is such an amazing side of the island within walking distance to a great seafood takeout (loved the shrimp and oysters!!), a wonderful bakery as well as the shops. Thank you so much for offering your home as a vacation rental! It provided instant vacation for us. We can’t wait to come back! Now we just need warmer weather!

Village Getaway - Covid-19 style
We traveled with 4 separate families and were looking to getaway for the first time during Covid. It was the perfect property for our large group - hard to find in Chincoteague. The property was very well equipped and all the rooms were comfortable.
We had a fairly major snafu with the air conditioning not working in the guest house for 2 nights which was very rough for the 5 folks staying there - we had to sort of double up in the main house which was pretty uncomfortable for all involved but the owners did respond right away, unfortunately a part had to be ordered so it couldn't be fixed in one day.
The dock and location was great, we used all the water toys daily. We rarely went out (except to the beach daily) and there was still plenty to do at the house all week. We decided the state bird of Chincoteague was the mosquito so bring an outdoor fan and plenty of bug spray!
Overall it was a great trip.

Great Vacation Property
18 people in the house and it never felt cramped. Plenty of room to hang out or get lost if you wanted. Views were tremendous and being directly on the water allowed for crabbing, fishing and other water activities. Keep the kids occupied and off their phones! Meals were great as dinner was prepared in house in the huge kitchen area and we all enjoyed the meals together. Elevator was a huge plus for some of the elderly guests. Would definitely recommend and stay there again.

Hidden Treasure
We had a great time and enjoyed the amazing views. Plenty of things to do for everyone including crabbing, paddle boarding and swimming. Spacious house for all of us to enjoy.

We were searching for a place to celebrate my 80th birthday with our 18 kids and grandkids, and EUREKA!, here it was! The reviews were great and the description of the property seemed perfect for our needs...something to keep everyone happy, from the kayaks and canoe to puzzles and games.
The listing was completely accurate in every detail. We were glad to be able to make a quick trip a few months in advance to try to figure out the sleeping arrangements and have some idea as to what we might need to bring. Stephanie, who manages the property, was most generous with her time and very patient in answering our questions.
As each family group arrived, the oohs and aahs were proof of the rightness of our choice. The house is truly beautiful, with a gorgeous water view, as advertised, from every room. The living space is so vast and with so many decks and balconies that we often wandered lost just hunting for the stairs, but that vastness made it possible for the family hermits to be alone when they wanted to be and for the groupies to group! It was possible, too, on the night of the big birthday dinner, to arrange the tables and chairs on one deck so we could feast and celebrate together. (If anyone wants to know, my best birthday present was a Jayson Werth Garden Gnome!!!)
One of my concerns that was quickly laid to rest concerned what we might find in the kitchen. No worries...everything we needed for cooking was there. Both the owner and Stephanie were always available to quickly answer any questions we had.
We managed to enjoy seafood every night...and often for lunch also. We ate at Zack's right down the road, the Crab Shack...best of all, Bill's Seafood Restaurant (!!!), bought fish and shrimp at Gary Howard's, a few short blocks away. Among the other activities our family enjoyed: renting "bikes for 4", miniature golf, Wallops Visitor Center, The Creamery, a scenic nature cruise ("Daisey's") whose wonderful captain graciously took us right in front of Eureka!, an historical tour of Chincoteague on the little shuttle bus, and exploring the house's large and varied library (definitely not the typical beach reads).
I must not forget to mention the beach at Assateague. It does tend to be crowded, but we found the best time to go and have only a few fishermen as our companions was early morning around 7am. There are picnic tables and grills available and it's easy to stake out a space. Even better, come at 6am and watch the sun rise over the ocean.

I lead a team of 10 adults, and each year, we hold a retreat/planning session. We've stayed in hotels, campgrounds and condos, but finding Eureka and Epiphany made for our best-ever meeting. Unlike many vacation homes, the photos online were not made to look better than the real thing - In fact, the photos did not do justice to the property. The homes were both spotless, very well-equipped with all the comforts of home (actually, much better than my own home!), and the entire team is still raving about it. Before we left our session, I had several ask if we could return for next year's meeting. I highly recommend the property!

LOVED EUREKA!
This is the perfect place for a family reunion and a good old family party. Everyone loved coming here and had an amazing time. When we came the dishwasher didn't work but everything else was just perfect. If the dishwasher worked, which it does now, my dad rented this same house the next year said that it has been fixed.
If you can afford this house do it, its soooooo worth it.

We Had Such A Great Time, We Did It Again
When turning 60, I gathered my entire family at Eureka and Epiphany. In my life I have never planned anything that left my family not finding some reason to criticize me - until now. This is a place of unbelievable beauty, and the complex has places to gather or not. 1 person can find lots of places to enjoy the beauty in solitude. 2,3,4, have lots of places to gather. Or everyone can gather on the top floor - and enjoy the beautiful views. Or go off in the canoe and kyacks. It was such a great time, that I did it again to celebrate my girlfriend's 60th six months later. One minor problem was 'leaving my blender (didn't need to bring it as there was one there), and when I asked, it was quickly returned to me. A great place, and I look forward to returning again many times.

Excellent Anniversary week at Eureka!
We had a wonderful 50th anniversary week at Eureka! We had 18 people staying in the house but there was enough room and enough activities that we never felt we were living on top of one another. All ages enjoyed the kayaks and canoe to explore around Deep Hole Creek, and spent many happy hours at the beach. The tide was too strong for people to do much swimming off the dock. The kitchen worked very well for various teams to prepare meals for that many people, and Gary Howard's Seafood right down the road was well patronized. We had a great scavenger hunt prepared by the Chincoteague Museum at our request. Ask them about it. Any problems or questions we had were answered promptly by the owner ahead of time and by the property manager while we were there. Finally, you can't beat the view from Eureka! It was spectacular - sunrise, daytime, sunset, and nighttime storms.

Eureka
We had planned a weekend hunting trip in December and stayed at the Eureka. This house was amazing. Beautiful views all around this home. Blair and Stephanie were great to deal with and I would recommend this home to anyone planning to stay in Chincoteague. We will be planning a return visit!

2012 vacation
Beautiful resort with spectactular views and beautiful sunrises. Plenty to do to occupy children and for adult relaxation. Roomy and set up for privacy with plenty of bedrooms and baths.
Modern kitchen with all essential equipment/appliances.
Accurately represented by photos and online descriptions.
Would like to go again in the summer but this time I would like to stay for an entire week

Without a doubt, EUREKA is absolutely the finest vacation property experienced by my family and I in the many years we have visited Chincoteague. Everything was beautifully appointed, plenty of room for everyone, extraordinary views from any level, an extra-large, well-equipped kitchen with scads of room for everyone to gather. The extra touch, of course, something rarely found in vacation properties of this nature, is the newly-installed elevator. A godsend for my handicapped wife who is unable to climb stairs, it also made the mundane task of hauling luggage up and down stairs, a breeze!
Location is superb, right on the water with large decks to accommodate the kayaks, canoes, and also tie-up areas for the powered fishing boats. Crabbing is excellent right off the docks! Bikes are a must, in less than a half hour, one can pedal safely to the beach and all the wonderful bike trails on Assateague Island.
Finally, there were 17 people in our family group, plenty of bedrooms, all with private bath, and eveeryone had plenty of space to enjoy this wonderful vacation.

Eureka
Great place! Handicap friendly. Wonderful sitting room with floor to ceining wrap around windows. Great place to quietly watch the tide come and go! The TV room has a wraparound system that is better than in movie houses.

Excellent place to stay!
We picked this place last minute for a valentines getaway. 3 couples. it was perfect. I wish we could have stayed longer. Blair, the owner, was great to deal with and made the whole last second process a breeze. We will definately be back.

Eureka! is simply Stupendous!!!
Truly a super house in a fantastic location!
If you're looking for a large place to gather your extended family, or a group of friends and don't want to give up lots of amenities, then this is the place for you.
It's unique, spacious, well-designed, comfortable, well-appointed, and has fabulous views. There's no place closer to the water -- it's actually right on the water! It's very thoughtfully equipped to handle large and multi-generational groups with an elevator, 2nd refrigerator, and even 3 coffee pots!
We had a very relaxing stay in Eureka! while our house was being worked on. We especially enjoyed watching the local watermen coming in with their crab traps, lots of birds, and being able to stargaze away from the city lights.
Eureka! is such a spectacular place, that it was very difficult to leave!

Chincoteague 2010
We rented Eureka and Ephiphany in August 2010 and it was one of the best family vacations ever! Eureka was a standout - it had all the modern amenities (modern kitchen, comfortable Brs, clean bathrooms, internet access, media room, and the amazing view of oyster bay from the family room and the double-level decks). Able to fish and crab outside of your bedroom was amazing and really enhanced the overall experience. Taking the kayak out and paddling out on the bay was a lot of fun.
Note: I could not put in the exact date of our stay since it only allows within a year, so I just picked the random date of 3/12/2011 to be able to put this review per Blair's request. We rented back in Aug 2010 under the name of 'Ker'.

Great Place
Eureka! was perfect for our family of 11 (and a new born) to ring in the new year. The house is stocked with games and books. There are multiple decks and inside nooks for the family to spread out or larger places to gather together. The large room overlooking the water was the perfect place to play rowdy games and share quiet moments watching the sun rise. The kitchen is fully stocked and there is just about anything you could need. We all agreed we'd love to return.

Summer breeze . . . makes me feel fine
We had such a lovely, memorable time at Eureka! this summer. We enjoyed the beautiful scenery from the decks and from every window in every room, especially the moon over the water at night. No one had a bad view. Everyone had plenty of privacy. The guest house was very nice. AC worked well and kept it cool. We swam off of the back deck almost every day. The water was not quite as clean as we'd expected, but it was a great way to cool down. We kayaked in the evenings in the kayak that was provided with the house. Chincoteague itself was charming. We would have ridden bikes on the island every day if we had known how great an experience that would turn out to be. The rental bikes were clean and easy to pedal and the ride was smooth. Great fun! We spent lots of time at the ocean. The only surprise was that we thought the beach was 1 mile away. That may be true as the gull flies, but it was really a 4 mile drive. Still this ended up being no problem. We liked the media room being apart from the main sitting area. The owner was very accessible by email and helpful. The best part was having plenty of room and beauty all around for a great price. I would most definitely stay there again.

Great house and location for Pony Week!
My family of four along with in-laws, my wife's 2 brothers, and their families had a great stay at Eureka. We were lucky enough to be at the house during Pony Week in Chincoteague and the location could not have been better. We were within an easy bike ride of all the action.
The house itself accomodated our extended family nicely, providing us with a lot of space and lots to do right at the house. The kids enjoyed kayaking, swimming and crabbing right from the back deck.
The large kitchen and eating area was perfect. Our family loves to do things together so group meals were fun and the space made it easy for everyone to chip in without bumping into each other. The kitchen is also equipped with everything you need to prepare meals.
The owners have done a very nice job with this property and the good news is they are accessible so if problems arise - they want to know about it and work to fix them quickly.
If our family choses to vacation in Chincoteague again - Eureka is at the top of our list of places to stay.

Incredible views, well appointed, lovely location, perfect for children
Eureka was a beautiful spot, with windows everywhere and situated right on the marsh. For a family with children it couldn't be a better. The dock area is perfect for crabbing, swimming, launching a kayak or canoe. Kitchen is perfect and nicely serves a large crowd.
