Very convenient location
Parking is limited and tight

Location was perfect to walk downtown and to explore the area. Room was cute and felt clean. We had a small issue of the sink being a little clogged when we first got in but they fixed it quickly.
I feel like I paid a little too much for the room that we got. I wish there were towel hooks in the bathroom. There was just a small closet area with hangers so I used those to hang towels after a shower. I also feel like the room could use a full length mirror. It was cute but I feel like for the price that I paid, there were just small details that were not there.

The staff were very welcoming and helpful with any needs. Lots of thoughtful touches making your stay a comfortable one. It is walking distance to downtown restaurants/shops/bars, etc. in either direction. As a single traveler I felt very safe and loved the character of this Inn on Main. Will return again😊

Everything! Great location, comfy beds, lots of outlets, manager and other personnel were very friendly and always seen working to the benefit of the property and upkeep, pool and hang out area with a full grill, decor, cinderblock walls (I know odd, but they were painted white so very pretty and soft yet they blocked sound so we had no issues with outside noise or neighboring rooms disturbing us), and excellent value for price.
Not really much of anything to dislike honestly. Maybe some sort of feedback could be for housekeeping to pay attention to detail and clean corners and crevices well and when doing updates again details matter. Caulking that's not replaced or certain hardware and miscellaneous items could still use updating.

Loved the 50's revival Deco "flamingo" room! The bed was super comfy, and it was decorated well with plenty of dresser storage. The room was perfect for one person. There was a chair for seating. But if one is traveling for business, note that there is not a desk. But that's perfectly okay as this property is not geared towards business travellers. The WiFi was fast, and I had no problem streaming a movie on my tablet. The pool was petite, perfect, clean and well kept. There is a screened-in seating/dining area with a grill. This is a great feature as mosquitoes can be a menace in Chincoteague! The white lights in the trees looked festive and provided additional light in the parking area. The Inn on Main is an older property, but don't let that deter you from booking! I was truly impressed how well-appointed my room was...it even had a special black embroidered "makeup" facecloth for removing makeup. The lemongrass bamboo toiletries were quite nice too! I would definitely return for a stay.

Breakfast was not included. Location was acceptable.
Room had an odor. Air conditioner did not eliminate the humidity. Sheets, pillowcases and coverings had a clammy feel.

I loved the location
Staff was very friendly
Coffee/ tea service in room
USB ports in the room
There was light outside shining in and the curtains were not blackout. The window is close to the bed so it made it hard to sleep.
Bathroom fan was really loud and seemed to be dying.

I especially liked the location right on Main Street in Chincoteague. My daughter and I like to walk so we could tour and enjoy all of the features of Chincoteague without getting in the car. We both enjoyed the outdoor ambiance of the fire pit, the screen enclosed cabana for us to eat our breakfast and lunch outdoors. The outdoor pool was also a nice feature.
Had to tune out the traffic noise which can't be avoided if you choose Main St location.

Very clean. Remodeling included sound proofing, which made the room very quiet even though it was on a main street. Perfect location - walked to breakfast cafe Aramin (wonderful coffee and French pasteries), walked to tour boat (Dan's), and restaurants.

Hot tub did not work after checking with them before the cancelation date.

I did not know there was a breakfast.
The bed was very comfortable.
The desk clerk was very kind and switched my room when the first one was not clean.
The pool did not seem clean and it was taken up by three men patrons drinking and being inappropriate. I couldn’t use it so left.
My first room has a tub that hadn’t been cleaned. It was not a good first impression.

We loved the location, the friendliness of the staff, the comfort and cleanliness of the room, and having the fridge and microwave in our room!

Friendly & knowledgeable staff for late check in.
Easy walk to a surprisingly fun bar to help ease you into the weekend after the stress of traveling. Very clean! Comfortable. Stylish.
No counter space by sink to spread your toiletries and a very dim vanity mirror for shaving or applying makeup. There was no parking adjacent to room. No chain of bar lock on door. Slight smell of pine sol (from being so clean). Bring a candle!

The Inn on Main is a lovely property just on the Main Street. The rooms seem to have been recently renovated making the mattress/ bed absolutely comfortable. The bathroom was clean and simply designed and the basic amenities were provided for ease of use. Housekeeping was available even on the 4th of July for any immediate needs and that was a nice touch in a small town where most restaurants were closed/ booked or busy. Check in and check out was a breeze. The room is equipped with a fridge and microwave which did make life easier on a holiday weekend. The location makes walking to nearby places of breakfast etc super accessible. Overall, I'd recommend the Inn on Main, with the highlight being the new mattresses where you don't slide and meet your spouse/ partner in the middle!!!
This didn't make our stay any less comfortable but the contractor/ renovator could have done a better job with the overall finish of the job - you could see transparent glue like stuff overflown and dried on the floor, the cement (i think) on the nuts/ bolts of the toilet etc. As I said, it didn't change the comfort or convenience of our stay, but I'd expect a workman to finish the work better.

Very cute, recently remodeled rooms. Laminate flooring instead of carpet is a nice touch, since it doesn't get so grimy from daily beach trips with sandy shoes, etc. Housekeeping service was consistent and great; never had to ask for anything. Office staff are super friendly, and there was even a bonus office dog one night. :)
Convenient location right on Main as you enter town. We didn't use the little pool or patio area, but nice to have if you want to swim a little or grill out. There's a screened-in area with the grill and farm sink so you can avoid the worst of the notorious Chincoteague Mosquitos.
Needs a few more outlets near the beds/in general. Not a huge deal, just would have brought a power strip if we'd known. Parking is a little tight, but that's just about anywhere on the island.

Great value for the price. The renovated motel has a retro vibe with all the amenities. Perfect for a one to two night stay.

We felt for the level of service and provisions the price was reasonable.

very close to the entrance of the island. walking distance to Main Street and other locations.

The property was near town, a walkable distance. it was clean. The outdoor area was cute and the screened tent gave us the opportunity to eat our takeouts. The owner put flowers in the room, a nice touch.
The photos were deceiving. The outside was shabby and we were in the part of the Inn where the rooms weren’t renovated. We received maid service one time. The next day the maid knocked in the door and asked if we need towels. We asked if she was coming back and she said no. We stay in lots of hotels and our rooms were always cleaned and straightened each day. The room was small and the bathroom tiny. The tub had no drain plug and was rusty around the chrome cap. At the cost of over $400.00 for a three night stay was overpriced. Buyer beware!

The location was great--I enjoyed being able to walk into town.
I would suggest darker drapes as there was just a little too much light coming in through the window at night.

I prefer smaller simpler accommodations which The Inn on Main is. My recently renovated room was really comfortable with many nice touches. I liked the pavilion for guests and the in-town location.

Hot water ran out. Very brief shower before running out of hot water.
