This comfortable cabin kept us cool after our adventures during the heat wave. Well stocked and nice furniture. We enjoyed our time.
That road right before arriving the cabin needs attention. It should be just turned to gravel and the concrete pulled out. Big ledges and holes to traverse. As the listing said DO NOT rent this if you have a low clearance vehicle. Luckily we had 4x4 trucks.

This was a great getaway spot for my boys and I. Plenty of room for the four of us. As the description of the place says, I highly suggest a high profile vehicle. I am thankful I have a Tahoe, because I would imagine taking a low sitting car up the road that goes right to the house, would not be a good idea. We ventured into Nashville one day and into Cookeville. Plenty of cookware. There was even an electric griddle that I used to make pancakes on. We sleep with box fans for white noise. They had one available, which was great. So, if you need a fan for noise they had at least one there to use. I also like having a night light in the bathrooms. Which there are no night lights. So bring your own or there is a Dollar General nearby (surprise!) that you can buy some. Communication with the host and rental agency was good. Oh, the gas grill does not light on its own. You will need one of those longer lighters to get the pilot lit. I had one with me but I did see one in a drawer in the kitchen. Overall I was very happy with the home and the location. I live in a rural area anyway, so being away from the hustle and bustle of a town doesn’t bother me. I would definitely go back :)

They main reason I rented this place was for the hot tub. I was ice cold when we checked in Friday, we increased the heat and the next morning it was still ice cold. Maintenace came but we still cook not use it until morning we checked out. The shower in the master bath was not working right so we had to use the upstairs bath it had no towels just a hand towel and wash cloth. The road leading to the house is very bad.

Everything was perfect for a weekend getaway!

My wife and I live a little closer to Nashville, so this was a perfect weekend get away for us and a quick drive. Cabin is nicely furnished and very homey. The master bed was way too hard for my taste and the water was a little too low in the hot tub to run the jets without splashing, but were still quite satisfied with our stay. The cabin was nice and quiet and relatively private, the lake is visibile from the cabin. After you're off the main highway, that last couple miles of road does turn to a one lane paved and then kinda transitions to a private gravel drive going up to the cabin. We were fine in the Fusion but familiar and comfortable navigating that. Not unusal at all to see a gravel drive up a hill or mountain in rural TN. Great cabin!

Our short two night stay began with a whopping cigarette residue smell throughout the entire cabin. When we checked in, the smell of this being a "smoker's home" was blatantly apparent to our sense of smell. Because two of us are allergic, and the place was not as described, we contacted host's afterhours line (it was a holiday weekend) right away, as instructed in our check in manual. After receiving a call back from the property manager, she informed us there was nowhere else to put us and assured me that it was in fact, a non-smoking cabin, and further attempted to assert this home had never been smoked in as, she claimed, she certainly would know if it had, because she used to be a smoker, and she has been in the home recently. Well, in our opinion, this was dishonesty at its finest. With nowhere to go, we stayed 1 night. After experiencing upper respiratory issues related to the rampant cigarette residue derived air quality issues in the cabin, we left at 7am the next day, cutting our vacation short. Host refused refund, although we informed them at check in the cabin did not meet the contractual agreement. Our money spent is now pending a claim with our credit card via purchase protection, after VRBO was not of much help. If you are a smoker, then I would say you will feel right at home. House was also dirty. Stains on carpet in Master bedroom beside bed. Urine stains running down inside of the toilet lids. No towels in master bath. Spiders (which can be expected).

Very quiet and relaxing with the exception of a little construction work above us but we understand the area is growing. Master bed mattress was way too firm for our liking. Master bathroom door did not latch and one of the upstairs bedroom window mechanisms did not work. We reported it but told them it was not a problem if they wanted to correct the issues after we left. We also found a bird trying to build a nest inside the gas grill but I cleaned it out and it worked fine. We had a power outage for about an hour after the storm rolled through late Friday night and again Saturday morning for about half a day due to all the wind the night before but we called Caney Fork power and they came out within couple hours sawed off the downed tree and got our power back on before 3pm. Not a big deal, stuff happens sometimes. Could have been a lot worse.
None of the things I have just stated would not keep me from wanting to stay at Lago Vista again. Overall we had a very relaxing and enjoyable retreat with our family.

Everything was great well stocked with everything we needed. Only complaint was what I am assuming was remnants of glass from the fireplace door that was on the floor and one chair. The stay was wonderful and relaxing.

The cabin was very clean! We booked this cabin because it had a hot tub, however, we could not enjoy the hot tub because the chemicals were SO strong that our eyes were burning and it took the color out of our bathing suits. As a result, we only spent about 5 minutes in the hot tub and didn’t get in again. Also, the beds are super uncomfortable, to the point of the mattress sinking in the middle. The kitchen was described as a chef’s kitchen, but there were no oven mits, or pot holders, no dish cloths and only two kitchen towels. Overall, we enjoyed ourselves, but were very disappointed by not being able to utilize the hot tub.

Fantastically clean! Really Nice for the Most part!
Property is very nice. Really clean. Plenty of cooking equipment. No hot pads though. Road up is very rough but my Prius made it. Wouldn't try it except on a dry road. Beds VERY LUMPY. Same on couches. Everything else is VERY nice. Hot tub and Whirlpool really nice. Very peaceful and nice neighbors. Can't really see the lake unless you walk down the road a little bit but you can hear the boats easily.

Cute Cabin
The cabin is cute. It has the feel your looking for with a getaway experience, however, the road getting to the cabin is awful. Even for a truck, this would be a very bumpy ride up and down the slope. The mountain very is amazing.

My family really enjoyed the cabin. It's close access to the lake was a big plus and we enjoyed the peaceful walk down to the water. The final drive to the cabin was a little rough but doable if you have an SUV or good front wheel drive.

The cabin was a great memory for my family, however we would not return. Aside from the mold on the ceilings, everything else seemed to be generally clean. The location was not ideal, super steep rocky road, we should have been warned to bring a 4x4 to get up to the cabin. And once you get there, in the summer months, there is no view of the lake... which was kind of the point. The cabin is too far from the main road making it more challenging to drive that road at night. It also makes a drive to the nearest marina twice as long. The management company sent enough communications by email so I would be happy to work with them again but I would not rent this cabin.

Great place to vacation
My family and I enjoyed our stay here! There was a chest with games upstairs, and a giant checkerboard for the kids to enjoy while we weren't out on a boat or out fishing. The cabin is spacious, so we had plenty of room to move around even with 6 ppl there. It's a quiet area, and the views are gorgeous (summertime)if you take a short walk down the road. Now as some other reviews have said the road out there is quite an experience. I recommend a vehicle that can handle a steep rocky backroad type drive. Totally worth it in my opinion. I was worried about snakes because of one review I'd read but didn't see any snakes or even much wildlife except deer and birds. Oh and bring oven mitts, that's really the only thing the cabin didn't have when we checked in. Overall it was a great little getaway for my family.

The house was nice, the original pictures on the vrbo website showed access to the lake. However there is no access unless you drive. You can barely see the water from the house. My son was outside and almost stepped on a rattle snake, so beware of that if you have children!

Nice memorial weekend getaway
It took us about 90 minutes driving from Nashville to Lago Vista. Overall a short trip through Watertown. The last stretch took is a long one on a one lane road and the last bit is pretty rocky (would be questionable for say a Toyota Corolla). The cabin was very clean as other reviews and overall a pleasant stay. My reason for four stars was due to 1) ice maker and water on fridge were not working 2) there is a water leak from upstairs bathroom into master bath. When I called in regarding the water leak, it was evidently something that had previously been reported. I think the place could be buttoned up a little, especially considering the strict cancellation policy.

It was not what pictures showed it to be in reference to the lake walk. My husband has a bad back so seeing we could walk to lake to fish was great. Imagine my disappointment when I get there and you can see the water unless you look through the trees. We were expecting a game table as seen in the pictures and thought downtime inside we could play but there was no game table. It seemed cabin might not have been used in awhile the propane tank was empty and seemed to have old grease all over it; their were old towels in the washer and the remotes up stairs for light and ceiling fans didn't work. We had to ask that the railing for hot tub be repaired, a few jet covers missing so it shot water straight out but was still enjoyable. NOW the good stuff they did have lots of dishes and appliances (plastic plates though), place was clean and plenty of sleeping areas, but depending on if kids come along not a lot of open space so they are out of way safely inside. Beds were comfortable, HOT Tub was great to use. Not great cabin for kids as only flat area to play is the drive way/parking area. If your an adult and don't plan on going to the lake this is a good relaxing spot we enjoyed being in the cabin. If the plan was to just stay in with other adults its good. I will be looking for different cabin next time but in the same area. There is a home just 2 spots down that would be great for rental if they did it; its a small hike down the hill but we fished their with permission.

Lago VIsta
I enjoyed my visit this past week, but was disappointed by a few things. With a substantial cleaning fee, I expected a very clean cabin, but had to clean the kitchen counters as soon as I arrived. When putting the trash out on departure, I found the cans full of the previous weeks trash still in the cans. I had to call the office on the first day for more toilet paper and the "kitchen for a chef" didn't have but 2 kitchen towels and 4 teaspoons in the silverware drawer. The manager rep I spoke with (Katie I think) said she would let the owners know right away but they never stocked dishrags, just sponges. I guess some of these things could be related to Covid restrictions, but we always take food and cook our meals during our stay, and the utensils, bowls, etc. were lacking in that regard. These concerns might seem petty to some, but at the price of the cabin and the many add-on fees, I would have expected better. We did enjoy our stay in spite of these things, but would have to think twice before reserving here again.

It smelled musty, there were dead lady bugs all over and the fireplace was actually a fire pit with a skull and cross bones flag. Fortunately the TVs weren't working so we were moved to the Lago Vista property shown in the picture. It was AMAZING! Beautiful cabin. Lovely walking areas and views of the lake. Definitely what I would expect for the $750 we spent. I have rented with friends a couple of places with Center Hill and they have been wonderful properties. I will definitely mention the properties the next time I book so I can get one of the same caliber.

Had a great time getting away for a few days. The house had everything we needed. The drive to it is very secluded, but that was great for us and why we came. Only issue we ran across was that the water access area shown in photos was dirty (broken bottles, old tire) so perhaps if that is advertised as part of the experience, I would suggest maintaining to some degree? It also might be time to replace some of the kid toys, most are broken, but that didn't hurt our experience. The hot tub with big wrap around porch was a kid and adult favorite alike.

Had a good time.
The property was well maintained and had plenty of room for the 6 of us to spread out. Great porch for just sitting on and enjoying nature. Nice and secluded but just a 15-20 minute drive from stores and food. Hidden Harbor Marina was not far away and we had a great time on the lake. Only downside is the road that goes out to the house becomes one lane for a distance, but after a few days we were driving it like a local.
