About this apartment rental
This spacious and open designed 3 BR loft is located in the heart of activity in Eastport right across the street from the harbor and Outlook Park, providing an authentic experience of what Maine coastal life is really like.
All the restaurants, boat tours, galleries are a short walking distance and there is a quiet and friendly brew pub and a wonderful wine bar right across the street to relax at during the evening. Wake up in the morning with a fresh brew of coffee and stroll less than a minute to Outlook park on the water and enjoy our amazing sunrises and all the activity in the harbor. Or we have a very beautiful fenced in court yard in the backyard with plants, trees and plenty of places to relax. There is a BBQ grill available for your use as well.
The 3rd floor of the building and is like no other in Eastport. As you enter the unit you walk into the main floor and are greeted with a 16 ft high wood ceiling and a very open concept encapsulating the living room, dining room, and large modern kitchen with island/breakfast bar providing a view of the water while cooking up a meal. It provides an open feel as if you are outside yet there is a coziness to it because of the numerous nooks to choose from in the grand room to hang out in.
The master bedroom suite can be opened to the grand room or sealed off with the rustic sliding barn doors creating a place of solitude for the guests inside with a separate sitting room and master bath. Add a coffee maker and you never have to leave if you don't want to.
And upstairs on the balcony are 2 additional bedrooms and a full bath which provide great views into the grand room as you exit the rooms to head downstairs.
We provide 2 queen sleep sofas to help in sleeping arrangements should extra guests need a place to crash or perhaps 2 families make the trip together and let the kids have the fun experience of sleeping in the grand room.
These units are perfect for large family or perhaps 2 smaller families to come to Eastport and spread out and relax for a week and experience all the Downeast has to offer.
Eastport is a community surrounded by water, totally off the grid, at the end of the road that is as far North and East as you can possibly travel in the USA. Where if you stay and visit us for a week, you will likely be called by your first name by locals as you walk down the street by the end of the week.
Not only is Eastport an incredibly friendly city, but it also has a busy working waterfront. And staying in the downtown provides everything you need while still being surrounded by all the beauty of this coastal area.
Everything is in easy walking distance: restaurants, coffee shops, galleries, art center, outside activities and performances, pier fishing, whale watching, and fishing trips, relaxing walks along the water in the early AM for the first sunrise to touch the USA or a peaceful evening stroll to enjoy the weekly outdoor movie and music performances, or perhaps just a walk to a local pub or restaurant.
Yet despite being in the mix of it all, you could see a whale swim by out in the bay or a deer walk down the road. No car needed. Just arrive and relax and take it all in.
What are some things to do nearby? There is a ferry in Eastport that takes passengers and bikes to Lubec to check out the town. There is also an opportunity for fishing charters, whale watching trips, or experience how a lobsterman pulls traps. There is also a very vibrant art culture with a lot of talented local artists displaying in numerous galleries in Eastport. Words cannot do this property justice. It’s spacious, perfectly appointed, and could not be located any better within Eastport. Everything you could conceivably need is on the premises. The owners were both accessible and incredibly gracious. We loved our time here and strongly recommend you consider staying here if you find yourself in town.

This property is stunning. The pictures are beautiful but the actual property exceeded our expectations. It is so homey and comfortable and very tastefully furnished. We loved our stay there and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Eastport area.

Fantastic accommodations for our group of 4 as we made our first visit to the unique and charming town of Eastport! Greg was a perfect host, answering questions and offering helpful suggestions. The loft is huge... yet very comfortable/cozy....and very well equipped. The space is filled with wonderful photos from Greg's art gallery, located below on first floor. Folks in Eastport and nearby Lubec could not have been more welcoming. I would highly recommend the loft as a base for those who want to see a slice of coastal Maine that off the beaten track, get to know some friendly locals and enjoy the talents of the many local artists. Daytrips to nearby Lubec and Campobello, and hikes in the area kept us busy when we were not exploring Eastport itself and taking in the local color. We loved the loft...the low key nature of the town and area...and would come back again.

We were in the area for a wedding and had an absolutely wonderful stay. We had three couples in our unit and 2 couples were in the unit below us. Walking in the loft as a total 'wow' factor. Our friends that arrived first were SO excited. There are so many seating areas within the house it's really perfect for a large group. This worked out when a tropical storm came in and left us without power! There was enough nature light in the home for friends and games all day! :-) 10/10 would recommend this rental as it was clean and the host was great to work with.

My sisters and I rented this loft with our spouses. It was such a treat... exceeded our expectations!! Our hosts were absolutely wonderful. They made our stay very easy and we felt so welcomed. They answered our questions promptly and went above and beyond! We loved Eastport and had a central location to visit extended family in the Calais area. We would definitely stay here again!! Thanks so much!

The location was amazing and the rental was better than we dared to dream.. The place was organized, clean and very homey, we didn't want to go home. the town of Eastport is a safe, sleepy town with great folks and delicious food. We will remember this vacation for years to come.

This is a beautifully restored loft in a historic building and the pictures just do not do it justice. It is immaculately clean, and all of the furniture and finishes are much higher end than you usually see in rental properties. The lovely artwork is from the very talented owners, who restored the property and who run the art gallery below. The kitchen is very well stocked for cooking and baking, and the kitchen and laundry appliances are practically brand new and, again, more than a step above “basic.” The owners are delightful people and are very responsive. If you are headed to the Eastport area, this place can’t be beat!

Summer vacation in Eastport
This was one of the nicest places we have stayed in. The property was much bigger than the pictures showed. It was beautifully decorated and very cozy. Carol and Greg were wonderful and helpful. I highly recommend staying here!

Cleanest rental ever
This property is an amazing value for the money. The pictures are great online but when you walk in there is truly the “wow” factor! The location is perfect - you won’t need your car, and also won’t need to walk more than 5 minutes! I have rented many properties around the world and can say with absolute certainty that this is the cleanest place I’ve ever seen. Not only is it clean everything is organized so well and in its spot - it really has me thinking about goals for organizing my own kitchen at home! Owners were great - east to communicate with and available. Couldn’t have been easier - highly recommend!

Fantastic
We enjoyed our short stay in Eastport. The apartment is much larger in person and very comfortable! The kitchen was perfectly stocked and all the items new and well organized. The bathrooms are spacious with plenty of towels. We liked walking around the area, the brewery across the street, the art galleries and whale watching. We even took a ride over the boarder to St. Andrews. Beautiful scenery, fresh clean air, nice people and no traffic.

Contemporary and roomy apartment in an expertly done renovation of an old downtown building, overlooking the eastern edge of America. Enjoy a thriving arts scene, commercial waterfront action, and interesting food and brew while enjoying multiple outdoor activities on water and on land. Very helpful and personable owners.

Stunning loft
The loft is absolutely beautiful. It's an amazing space with lots of places to gather/relax/work. The kitchen had all the amenities we needed to cook for the week we were there. The beds and beddings were perfect. I honestly couldn't recommend this place more. I am already planning my return.

The unit had everything we needed. Beds were comfy, kitchen was well stocked, so many spots to sit and relax. Loved seeing the sea mist out the windows every morning. If you're headed to Eastport, this has got to be the best place to stay in town. And to top it all off, the owners are delightful! Very accessible, friendly and helpful.

Eastport is small and quiet but we were never bored. We enjoyed walks around town, driving to nearby rocky beaches and hanging out at the outdoor picnic tables at the brewery right across the street.

This home was much more than advertised. When we walked in all we could say was wow. We had a large family there and it accommodated them well. There was so much room for everyone to do they’re own thing. Big meals served, lots of game playing and great exploring the town. Carol and Greg were so gracious. We had a blast and wanted to rebook for next year but it was already booked. I was not surprised because it is so beautiful. There are many stairs to climb if there are any mobility issues but great exercise if your healthy. Can’t wait to return again.
