Lovely breakfast, great hotel and lovely staff
2.5
The room, the setting, the staff
The breakfast was a big disappointment.
The cereal selection was basic to say the least. The large Kilner jar labelled 'raisin& ? granola' had 2 visible raisins in the entire jar, so it was just plain granola. So every mouthful was samey. there was no muesli, there was no soft fruit/ berries, just a bowl with a banana, hard apples and oranges. It was worse than a Premier Inn.
The cooked breakfast looked unappetising on the plate, and the experience not helped by the lousy cereal selection. A round of toast was served on the plate with the cooked breakfast. It seemed like this was also meant to serve as toast for marmalade. The marmalade and side plates were over on the cereal table. So you had to take your buttered toast in your hand to that table. I needn't have bothered- the marmalade was disgusting. Cheap tasting and mostly some sort of gelled sugar without any fruit taste whatsoever. One of the worst breakfasts I have had.

Lovely location, great staff, nice food. Perfect location for the Lymington Wightlink Ferry
4.0
The breakfast was good and provided a good choice, the location on a platform was OK
The bedrooms and showers suited us at the us at the time, being all on the ground floor and it was very comfortable and spacious; but it would not have been easy to access the restaurant if it were wet.
The bathroom was very hot, but we did not relate this to the staff

Good breakfast. Quiet location.
Bar closed at 6 pm on Sunday.
No meals available on Sunday evening.
Pleasant walk into Lymington but road had no pavement so it was dangerous after dark.

High quality of customer service 👌 Food absolutely delicious, room tidy and in a rustic atmosphere.
The kitchen is closed after 6pm on Sundays, I just hope, that this is temporary because in surrounded areas there's no better food than in your place.

Confused messaging of pub opening hours and room check in time

Would not eat in the resturant again. The food was just passable if you were wanting something hot. Seasonable vegetables were frozen peas and frozen green beans. The pastry on the home made pie was made in a cement mixer.

Great service, friendly staff. Lovely rooms, great decor. Would recommend.
Everything was amazing except the bed... far too firm, like concrete!

Nice rooms and close to restaurant
Booking in time of 5 o’clock is to late for people, we hung around outside for 90mins
And there isn’t a longe area in the pub, just table and chairs, very strange

The food was first class and staff were very helpful.
The heating was not controllable and our first night was cold as it was -2 at that time.

We had a one night stay to meet up with family. It was the perfect location for a chilled get together. The rooms were very comfortable, the food was tasty and simple and the staff were excellent.
All good
(Grouting in the bathroom needed a bit of a scrub but other than that, great )

Great location. Really friendly staff and lovely breakfast. Room modern, spacey and clean. Easy to find.
Only negative is heating seemed to be controlled centrally and went off at a certain time in the evening. I would have preferred to be able to control this myself as was a cold evening

There is plenty of parking. The rooms are in a courtyard style and look great, they are one the ground level so easy access.
The staff are helpful, and the wifi works well.
A bit a maintenance needed in the bathroom, everything else great.

Well the headline statement is I am defintiely coming again!!
The rooms were fantastic and being disabled, the accomodation was excellent. The staff were friendly, accomodating and welcoming. I think its one of these places where you get to know the staff. They are so helpful!
The food is of a good pub standard and we all enjoyed very pleasant evenings in the bar.
We had the breakfast included and we all had something different.
Lymington itself is wonderful and well worth visiting.
So will happily recommend staying here.
I would not fault them tbh. We had a great time. They are v dog friendly and are in a perfect situation for taking them out so next time , we will take the dogs.

The room was cute and comfortable, with a nice added touch of some welcome shortbread. It was very close to some beautiful areas of the new forest. (Car necessary.)
The breakfast wasn't great considering the overall price. The pub wasn't very vibey and yet there was some noise coming from other rooms quite late in the evening.

Breakfasts were good; both full English and eggs royale: catered well for gluten free both breakfast and dinner. Friendly and helpful staff ;
