very comfortable clean and friendly
narrow staircase no one to carry my small case upstairs and as I have to use a walking stick that was difficult also it was an over bath shower which I couldn't access

Nice old pub. Looked a little run down on the outside but was actually very nice inside
Some plaster peeling off bedroom ceiling.

Great place to stay, excellent location.
I have mobility problems and could have done with a separate shower in the en suite, which was certainly large enough to fit one as well as the bath!

Friendly and welcoming staff. Breakfast excellent. brilliant hotel for visiting Lymington. No complaints at all .....a first for me !
Security door up to the rooms was left open.

Helpful staff , clean and very friendly.
Only disappointments were that breakfast closed early on a Sunday and the shower pressure in the room was "variable "!

Location was close to my customer
The bathroom had some serious water damage!
I still haven’t got a VAT receipt despite emailing the property!

Lovely looking hotel and restaurant. Very good service at the bar.
We were woken up at 7.30am on a Sunday morning by the cleaners having a jolly and this continued on for a couple of hours.
My wife and I were away without the children, so having a nice lie in on Sunday was part of the plan but didn’t come off. We understand the cleaners have to clean, but to be making so much noise with their conversations at 7.30am was very disappointing.
Rather than the relaxing night away, we got up very tired.
The room itself was ok, but the bathroom was terrible. It looked like one bodge after another & not what we would expect for £135 per night. Please see pictures

Beautiful stylish bedroom/bathroom &
comfortable bed. Efficient staff. Good parking. Great position in lovely Lymington!

I think breakfast should be included in the price. Refills of tea, coffee would be appreciated.
The room was good, but we are elderly and its’s location on the 3rd floor was difficult, especially with suitcases.
We arrived on a Monday and unfortunately the choice of evening meal was very limited.

Room was big
Bathroom needed some tlc and the entrance to the rooms/stairs

Location
Decor nice but very tierd scuffed paintwork etc
Two soiled old matressess stored on the top landing outside our room....disgraceful.
Garden area tierd dull needs attention
Reception area wierd very tiny as door from stairway opens directly onto people standing to check in....dangerous.
Two flight spiral staircase not very safe or great if mobility issues as no lift.
Poor bathroom lighting.
Poor choice of tea options no biscuits in bedrrom

I only met two members of staff but both were very friendly, helpful and patient with my questions.

I have already written to you to explain that the Hotel was closed and therefore I could not stay there and had to transfer to the Stanwell House Hotel where I had to pay £200 for a room. The Angel and Blue Pig say they had informed Booking.com of the closure and it was your responsibility to inform me! What are you going to do about my extra £85 Costs?

The food and location where great! It is right in the center of town, very close to the train station and the pier. The beds were also quite comfy and the pillows great! There is also a superdrug and a tescos that was within a one minute walk which was great. The staff were lovely as well, very polite and made sure you were okay.
However, the pictures on the website vs what I actually got were quite different. The rooms are a little smaller than what they looked like in the photos, which is fine but the rooms were less clean than they looked. I had to dust myself so much dust off of most of the surfaces in the room. If the room wasn't dusted, I assumed that other parts of the room were not cleaned as well. The bathroom was also quite dark as well. There was also no conditioner, not wash cloth, and overall lacked small details that would have made the stay better.

Did not have breakfast on first morning due to our having to leave for a funeral early. Second morning on leaving there was no staff to be seen
The bedroom was not up to satisfaction

Housekeeping - lump of dirt on the stairs for over 24 hours - food v expensive for what’s delivered - 2 slices of a sausage roll £9 !

The surroundings were pleasant and parking was convenient, if the barrier stayed up long enough to allow entry
Breakfast was not included. We were told it was £9.50 but that cost was incorrect, with extra cost for a drink or even toast. It was very unsatisfactory.
The room was not serviced or the bed made for the 2nd night, this was not acceptable for the price paid. When this was queried it was clear the barman needed training in people skills and how to work in a basic customer facing role. He had no regard for customer satisfaction. The second, taller gentleman was polite and courteous, explained circumstances and offered assistance.

Atmosphere, style of the room, comfortable bed. Rustic. Food in the pub was wonderful. Staff really friendly & helpful.
Cleaning could be better in the room. Dusty skirtings. Toilet very noisy when flushes, sounded like a jack hammer. Rooms need some attention. Lighting not very bright.

Great location, Alll individual rooms with character. Bar area good.
Had a very noisy sound which kicked in 5 times through the night/ early morning which lasted approx 90 seconds. Only thing we could think it was a bathroom fan in another room. Mentioned it to a member of staff when checking out so hopefully this will be rectified.

location
the property stated it had white company goods, which it did not. It was very noisy in the hotel. Tea and coffee was not replenished even though the room was turned down. Service was slow.

location
the room was the noisiest I have ever stayed in. There was a very noisy pump that kicked in every hour for about 5 mins during the night so impossible to sleep! we even took a video , it was so noisy.
rest of the room was tired, tap on sink was loose, we requested early checkin but once we arrived it wasn’t available , eventually we did check in a bit earlier than normal ( for £20) but staff tried to make me pay twice for this privilege and by the time I had proved this, and a lengthy debate at reception, it wasn’t worth the trouble.
3.8
Good rooms, nice tea and coffee
Breakfast did not start until after I had to leave at around 7am. Ability to grab something would have made this a better stay for me. Shower was small and some fittings in bathroom ready for maintenance but didn't detract from the charm

good location
rooms were damp and tired, not worth £100 for the night.also we wanted to leave our luggage with the hotel the morning we were leaving .and the girl said that they didn’t have anywhere to put it.so we had planned to do a lot of walking and had to do this with our luggage!! very poor indeed.never came across this before .always could leave it normally .the girl suggested that we try and leave it at another hotel across the road.wasn’t impressed at all and won’t be going back

Location was fine. Wanted to be in town. For parking go to the end of road. Look Left and you will see the barrier by building. Husband said the bed smelt but I didn't notice.
Try to get 1st floor to save climbing up more twisty stairs. Room and bathroom a good size.
No extras, so take tissues, water. Perhaps some coffee too as machine flaky
No extras. No blanket for chilly nights.

Greeted with a smile on arrival. Then we were helped upstairs with our luggage which we didn’t have to ask them to do. The room was very spacious and the bed was huge and very comfy. The food was very good.
The shower was hard to get the correct heat then it seemed to change temp.

The atmosphere of the pub itself, was very cosy and warm downstairs with the log fires, beams and the whole look and feel of the building
The check in process was not up to standard. Firstly we were waiting at the intercom in the car trying to get into the car park, which no one answered and there was no one picking up the phoneline either. When we did get in, after my partner having to go into the pub and try to get someone's attention, there was no one on the check -in desk, again we had to get a bar tender to flag someone down to help us. There was no warm welcome, we were asked to pay for the room directly without having been given any information regarding our booking. It was rushed and rude. There was also building work going on with scaffolding covering the whole front of the building, which we were not advised of before our arrival. This was directly outside our room window when we did check in. There was a piece of tarpaulin flag on the scaffolding which kept us awake all night because it was blowing where the wind was so bad, making noise against the window. It was the most disturbed nights sleep we have had in a long time when it was meant to be a relaxing Christmas retreat. When we left the next morning again there was no one to speak to regarding our stay, it was like the whole hotel part of the building had been neglected with lack of staff. Very disappointing

Very comfortable room with good heating Hot water tea and coffee Lovely bed linen and towels. friendly bar service . good tv and radio in room
Bathroom a little scruffy. no obvious breakfast service
3.8
We had a large first floor room, interesting quirky décor. Very comfortable
Room can be noisy with morning deliveries if you have the window open.
3.8
Great atmosphere, nice staff, location super and full of history
arrived and the sink was full of water in the bathroom - bit odd … maybe the ghost? Room in general needed a bit more of a deep clean.
3.8
good location
The staff were awful and rude. I went to the bar at 2130 to get a drink and was told they’d shut the till so couldn’t get one. I questioned their logic and was swore at. never have I ever been so dissatisfied with a hotel’s staff or management.
3.8
A good central location, good free parking. The bed linen was clean and lovely towels, great size bed.
They couldn’t give us dinner in the evening as they decided to close early and also didn’t give us advance notice of this. I only found out when we rang to book a meal and they at first accepted my booking , then later they rang back to say that the that evening the kitchen was closing at 6pm, which meant we had to find somewhere else to eat. we also had a first floor room, which meant we heard people on the creaky floor above and the rooms were very well insulated from outside traffic.

it’s a lovely pub and accommodation with parking and a great location. A really comfortable bed and lovely bed linen. Huge bathroom with top quality toiletries.
staff didn’t seem to know we had a B&B deal & the second morning we had to find a member of staff to ask if we could have some breakfast .
