The location was extremely convenient and the house well equipped. We knew before we arrived that there was no dedicated parking spot but we did not have any trouble in finding a parking space just metres from the house during the time that we were there.
There were numerous mentions of the requirement for a blind both at the bathroom door and at the back door in the guest book and I agree with this. Also there was a milk frother that had obviously been overlooked because it had very rancid and mouldy milk in it.

Location was great, 2 minutes from Lymington Town Station. Less than 10 minutes walk to the High Street. Cottage clean, and comfortable.
My son's, are 2 grown men. Found the twin beds very narrow. Stairs are steep, but was aware of this.

The interior design is lovely and the cottage is super cozy. The stairs are steep but nothing a 6yo can’t manage.
The cottage is in desperate need of a good cleaner. There wee dust and spider webs all over the place, the kitchen drawers were dirty inside and you shouldn’t look behind the furniture, which is a pitty as the place is wonderful. Giving the garden an update to the rusty furniture and adding a bit more green would make it a better fit to the lovely design of the cottage.

It’s location
The parking my car was hit. Cold water tap in the kitchen wasn’t working properly.

Overall a pleasant stay. Only a short walk past the industrial units to find the cobbled streets of Lymington . Double bed was very comfy. Kitchen appeared fully equipped although we never cooked during our stay.
The property description does not mention the bathroom is downstairs making it difficult to navigate steep stairs especially at night. The sofa was not particularly comfy. I'm intrigued to knowhow 6 people could stay here. Our car was damaged when parked outside the house,

The outside bin was overflowing.
Not a major issue but I had to wrestle other peoples rubbish to accommodate ours.

Sailmakers cottage is a fine period property, providing a comfortable base from which one may explore the charm of Lymington and further afield. The local Lymington and Keyhaven Marshes is an extensive coastal nature reserve which attracts an abundance of wintering birds.
Although parking a car directly outside the property is not a feasible option, parking nearby either close to the house or in a municipal car park is an option.

Harbour, New Forest
Next time I would look for an upstairs bathroom , better parking and easier stairs.

cottage was beautifully decorated lots of extra touches , location was brilliant, parking easy.
alittle squeaky the metal double bed , and maybe a extra seat or comfy chair downstairs as we were a family of four with two teenage boys.

Lovely cottage in an amazingly central location. Spotlessly clean with all the amenities you could need for a short stay away. Easy to access the property and communication from the host was top notch. The whole stay was seamless. Thank you very much.
Honestly cannot think of anything. Really lovely

The location was perfect and the beds were very comfy .. The cottage was very roomy as there was just 2 of us
My mother is quite elderly and was a bit concerned about the steep stairs and having to go down to the bathroom.

Location perfect. Moments from the Quay and High Street. We were able to cycle or walk from the door to everything we wanted to see and do in the area. Left the car in the street with no problem. Able to store the bikes safely.
Cottage is very cute and beautifully styled. Small but great for a couple.
Good owner communication and information. Plenty of TV channels.
Cleanliness absolutely excellent.
Just being really, really picky, we would have liked...
- More hand towels and ability to dry towels easily when the heating isn't on.
- A lamp over the armchair
- Kitchen roll
That's it!

The cottage had been refurbished very nicely. Liked the style and decor plus the thoughtful bottle of Prosecco. Hosts were exceptionally pro active with communication.
There were a couple of things I hadn’t realised. It was on a much busier cut through road and at times the speed of the cars was quite dangerous and care had to be taken when leaving the cottage. I knew the stairs were steep but negotiating them when half asleep was a little tricky!

The cottage was only 5 minutes walk to Lymington Quay and the shops, so very convenient. Our hosts had left a bottle of prosecco for us. We didn't meet our hosts due to Covid, but David rang us to give us the key code and there was lots of useful information in the Welcome book. Although not large, there was plenty of room. Lovely kitchen and bathroom.
The stairs are pretty steep which we weren't forewarned about. The bathroom is downstairs, so, as someone who has to get up in the night, I had to be pretty careful negotiating them. The 2nd bedroom was very small and you could only access the cupboard for clothes by climbing on the bed. Not a problem for us as the main bedroom was fine. The clock in the lounge didn't work which was a tad annoying, as we kept looking at it to check the time. I think the advantages outweighed these minor points though.
