The property is located in the beautiful Maggie Valley. Easy to reach (dont need any 4X4s). Quick access to the main roads. The owners have thought of everything that a family needs for the guests. Everything was available where it was intuitive. We will definintely book it again based on availability. Keep up the good work.

Wonderful, private, and serene.

The property was very nice, clean, and comfortable. The only down side was that I had to take my garbage with me in my car because the trash can was broken. I was asked to drop trash at a trash center that is closed on the day of my check out. The owners did not offer to take care of the trash or have the housekeeper take the trash. The cabin was also very hot and thermostat was locked with a code so only the owner could change the heat/cool setting remotely.

This place is amazing, location is excellent, cabin is awesome, hosts are incredible, we definitely recommend staying here, we will be back.

We had the best time celebrating Christmas with our kids! The cabin and views were amazing! They even took the time to decorate for Christmas prior to our arrival, inside and out. The kids loved it! We will surely be back!

We were in town for a family wedding, and the cabin was a great little quiet spot for our toddler to rest. I just wish we'd had a little more downtime there!

My husband and I stayed for our 33rd anniversary and we loved it! This is without a doubt our favorite trip ever for our anniversary. The hosts were extremely helpful and communicated timely. The home is immaculately keep, has anything you would ever need and is close to town but very secluded. I would not hesitate to recommend to friends and family.

Beautiful cabin, in a gorgeous setting. The clouds drift by on the mountain, so magical. Very peaceful stay. Enjoyed the hot tub. Even got to see a bear! So cool. We had a great time!

We had a wonderful few days at Horseshoe Cabin. Clean and well-appointed. Nice deck with hot tub and gas grill, as well as a table & chairs. Great firwpit area with Adirondack chairs. Faces towards the sunrise, so it's a great place to sit in the morning with your coffee. Overall, very comfortable and nice. And the managers were very responsive and helpful.

Horseshoe Cabin made for a wonderful getaway for my wife and I. The views are excellen from watching the sun come up over the mountains in the back in the morning to a beautiful view of mountains to the west from the deck with seating and the hottub. Everything was clean and in good condition. A notebook provided detailed instructions and helpful information about the area.
Take seriously the instructions about locking up the garbage can. Someone had left garbage, not recycling, in the recycle bin and a bear got into the early morning hours before we left. What a mess! The owners have taken great care to provide what is needed to make your stay enjoyable, so respect their efforts.

We enjoyed location being able e to visit a number of places within less than an hours drive. unfortunately, the weather was not what we had hoped for, wind was howling temps were very low for this time of the year. But we were still able to enjoy going to different places. Worst part of the weather was that we were not really able to enjoy the deck around the house much. we did not use the fire or the hot tub while we were there, but they certainly are a nice feature . The cabin and the location with very good and we look forward to staying here again.

The cabin was everything we hoped for. It is perfect for a romantic weekend but woukd also work great for a larger family since the upstairs provides a separate living area. The owners were very responsive to our needs. This cabin will definitely be our go-to anytime we are in the area.

We stayed 3 nights at this log cabin. The 2-bedroom accommodation suited us well. We put our crib on the second floor landing area, close to the upstairs bedroom.
While not large, the cabin was just right for 2 of us and our baby. The outside deck gives great views and we enjoyed the hot-tub in the evenings, Though close to other houses, you're not overlooked.
Our stay coincided with a cold spell and sometimes rainy, We didn't use fire-pit area for that reason. Its location might worry those of a vertiginous nature.
Because of the cold (26F one night), we did find the downstairs King bedroom and the bathroom to be difficult to heat to match rest of house, especially when doors were closed (necessary due to our childs wandering). Thermostat seems to be locked to 72F and were told gas fire should only be set to 2.
We've stayed at another cabin nearby before and this area is very good for access to Maggie Valley and Waynesville, The roads to the cabin are steep and narrow, but we drove a large SUV to house without issue. With snow it would be different case.
We would happily stay here again.
It would be great if a pressure-fit baby-gate was available to fit stairs. We had close encounter with our 18-month trying stairs for first time. We had to use recliner to block the stairs.
Also, a reminder note to turn up hot-tub on arrival might have allowed us to use it the first night (It was at 82F).
Hosts provided useful information and responded quickly to texts.

Really nice little cabin perfect for a family. Kitchen had plenty of dishes and supplies for us to cook and have the majority of our meals there. The location was great with just a short drive into town and a paved road all the way up to the cabin. All in all we really enjoyed our time there. The only thing we would note is that the winter sun comes straight into the living room and kitchen to where if you're planning on having a day off just relaxing at the cabin you may have to spend part of the day in the bedrooms or upstairs loft. It surprises me that I'm even mentioning this as I love natural light and being warm, but it really was difficult to sit in the living room and watch TV or play games from mid-morning to late afternoon.

the cabin was everything we hoped for and more! We stayed over the Christmas holiday and the place was decorated so sweetly. Even though Christmas Eve was -8 degrees I still thoroughly enjoyed braving the hot tub. We had everything we needed for a relaxing holiday and wished we had booked it for longer. It’s our favorite place so far and would love to come for late spring or early fall. Thank you for being the best host/hostess! Merry Christmas and have a happy new year. We hope to return in 2023!

This is our second visit to this cabin. It is cozy, comfortable and clean. It is in a great location to be able to visit neighboring towns. Maggie Valley is the perfect place to get away from the noise and visit a non commercialized town.

My husband and I eloped in NC this fall and this cabin was perfect for a romantic getaway! We arrived to the cabin to a sweet surprise of champagne left by the owners. The fall color was also incredible that time of year and the views of the mountains from the deck will not disappoint. We will definitely be returning!

We stayed 4 weeks, and never tired of the views, whether it was sunny, foggy, or teeming rain. The LR and Master BR are so comfortable! Cable TV and internet service are very good. King bed was perfect. Plenty of clothing storage in dresser and closet. Loved the loft and the porch rocking chairs on rainy days. Kitchen: Excellent knives and essential pots and pans; dishes, mugs, glasses, and flatware for 6 people. Things I most appreciated: tea pot, blender, choice of Keurig or regular coffee maker, big asst. of spices (no need to bring your own) Ice maker was off and empty when we arrived (COVID protocols, perhaps?) so bring a bag of ice. There was a glass cutting board; plenty of dishwasher and laundry detergent. Towels are NOT provided for use w/hot tub. Yes, we were told to bring our own the day before check-in, but we were already on our way to NC, so we had to buy some. We also recommend you bring:
Bathmat - not provided; as other renter noted, tub gets VERY slippery, espec. when rinsing off soap or conditioner;
extra dish towels (only one provided; left a couple of cheap ones); wood or plastic cutting board, if you prefer to glass; garbage bags, 13 gal and 4 gal (2 of each provided); if staying awhile, things like bathroom cleaner, Windex. (A small amount of Comet was only cleaner available). The house has five sets of towels (each set: one bath and hand towel, wash cloth). For two, this is ok. For those who use a separate towel for hair, maybe bring along extra bath towels according to your need.
A special word on wildlife - after all, it's why we come to the mountains, right? We saw deer, elk, gophers, wild turkeys, mostly off the property. But be Bear-Aware here. We saw bears or signs of their presence on many occasions, by this home and others nearby. We have photos of a bear ripping the garbage out of our pail, a cub walking in the driveway, and of paw prints from the bear my husband watched walk across the deck c. 7:45 AM. Do: Bring garbage to the dump. It's easy and better than cleaning up garbage w/ only a broom. But do come here! It is quiet, peaceful. The fire pit is the best we ever used. Nothing was more beautiful than fog rolling past the mountains. Best places for easy walk: Oconaluftee River Trail and Lake Junaluska. Tourism Office said "everything is 30 min. away." But enjoy "car hiking" throughout the region. It is amazing. And this home is a fabulous base to start from.

Charming cabin with great views!
Horseshoe Cabin is a great spot to relax and unwind.
There is a large deck with a hot tub where you can relax while taking in the views of the forest and the mountains. We let the warm water and jets melt away our stress while watching the nearly full moon rise over a mountain peak while we sipped cocktails in special hot tub glasses that were provided.
On the back side of the cabin, nestled on the side of a hill, is one of the best fire pit arrangements I have seen. We enjoyed watching the sun rise over another mountain peak while the glowing warm embers from our early morning fire faded in anticipation of another beautiful day in the mountains.
You can tell that the hosts put a lot of thought and care into making our experience a great one. They seemed to anticipate everything. Drawers and cabinets were clearly labeled. Notes were left in strategic places to assist. There is a book on the counter when you arrive to tell about the cabin and amenities.
If you are looking for a quiet, relaxing getaway, this is your place.

My husband d and I really enjoyed the cabin. It has everything you need. The cabin is private even though there are houses close by.
The fire pit is great. Make sure to keep bear spray with you when outside. We had a fire on our 4th night there and were visited by a mamma bear and her 3 cubs. Luckily she went under the deck with her cubs and we were able to get into the cabin without incident!!! So cool!!!
Owner was very easy to contact.
If you are coming on a motorcycle be aware that the road is very steep before the cabin driveway. I would not rent this cabin if you are a novice rider.
We will come back again in the SUV. It really is a lovely cabin!!

Horseshoe Cabin was a great destination for a long weekend getaway for my birthday.
One of the most well equipped, up to date cabins we've stayed in. We enjoyed the view from the deck and being surrounded by trees. Besides relaxing at the cabin we went to Waynesville for a nice dinner at The Chefs Table, and a drive on the Blue Ridge to Cherokee. Also took a drive to Lake Junaluska for a walk around the lake.
Very comfortable and well equipped cabin.

Anniversary Trip
My wife and I really enjoyed spending our anniversary at this cabin. It was very comfortable, clean, and private enough to enjoy being outside without looking at other people.
There are not a lot of activities in Maggie Valley, but that doesn't bother us, because we enjoy getting away to relax. There was a beautiful golf course at the bottom of the mountain below the cabin, but unfortunately I did not take my clubs. So you might want to keep that in mind if you enjoy golf.
We had a wonderful experience here, and we would definitely stay here again!

My wife and I stayed at Horseshoe Cabin many years ago with our two young sons at the time (It now has new owners), probably 10-12 years ago. We found it available for the perfect dates as our anniversary was April the 5th. The cabin was great, especially with the gas logs (they were not available for our first stay). The cabin had been very well maintained and is beautiful! The location is great, close to pretty much anything you would want to visit while in Maggie. One day of our stay it rained pretty much all day, and the temps were in the high 40’s. But…it was still perfect! Would (and probably will) return for another stay one day.
The owners are great people to work with. They provided excellent directions for every aspect of the place.
Highly recommend this cabin!
