Bright, comfortable bungalow in a beautiful parkland setting
We enjoyed our stay in this sunny, south-facing cottage in a beautiful spot. We could have sat and gazed at the view for hours. It’s generally well equipped and extremely comfortable. Beds, linen and bathrooms are top quality, as are kitchen fittings. Only the dining chairs were a bit tired. Loved the fresh flowers in every room too.
It’s two minutes from Westonbirt Arboretum and Tetbury, which has a great selection of shops, pubs and restaurants and oozes Cotswolds charm. Definitely a find - this little cottage has lots going for it.

Short break in the Cotswolds
Outstanding location, and a delightful property. Kind and attentive hosts. Short drive to Tetbury and the arboretum. Couldn't be better, we will be back as soon as we can.

Great place to stay to explore the local attractions.
Fabulous spot and excellent hosts in a lovely picturesque location within the walled garden. Very comfortable bedrooms and living space although slightly let down by a few oversights on other furniture and kitchenware that didn’t match the spec of the property. Would also have been good if the TV was a smart TV- particularly with our teenagers. However a lovely stay and would recommend.

Relaxing and peaceful stay
Wonderful stay in peaceful surroundings, lovely and clean and all facilities you could need. Hosts were very helpful and friendly and on hand if you need anything, I would definitely recommend this property. Thank you

Simply wonderful stay - we hope to be back soon!
We had such an enjoyable stay at Park End Cottage over May half term break. The accommodation is beautifully renovated, organised and decorated with plenty of space for a family of four. It was spotlessly clean on arrival and had freshly cut flowers from the owners' amazing gardens on display in many of the rooms. The kitchen is very well stocked with any cooking gadget or accessory you might need. The grounds are stunning and honestly quite magical with gorgeous views out onto the countryside. The owners, Fionna and David, couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating, greeting us with the freshest eggs from their own happy chickens and homemade muffins when we arrived. They had great recommendations for villages, attractions and super pubs and restaurants (Cat & The Custard Pot in Shipton Moyne and William's in Nailsworth are not to be missed!). They also treated our children to a sheep shearing demo, a trip next door to feed the chickens and even set up their garden sprinkler for the children to run through on the hotter days. The cottage is such a great base for exploring the idyllic nearby villages of Tetbury, Malmesbury, Nailsworth and Stroud (be sure not to miss the farmers' market there on Saturdays - another Fionna recommendation and it was superb). I could go on and on about how fab this place is and it's definitely at the top of our list for UK holiday rentals. We hope to be back soon! Many many thanks, F + D.

Nice, quiet stay and a good rural view. Recommended.
The property is a sympathetically renovated 1950's or 1960's Cotswold stone clad bungalow that has oil fired central heating and hot water. The kitchen is up to date, well designed, and having spent 2 weeks staying there, there isn't much that you would be missing in terms of kitchen equipment if you enjoy cooking and baking! There is also a usefully large fridge-freezer and a 1400rpm clothes washing machine, although drying will be outside on a clothes line or on a rack! There is also a small but effective dishwasher. The raised kitchen bar, with 2 telescopic seats, also houses the glasses and the internet router for wi-fi mobile reception, which seemed fine in all the rooms, except for a few occasions when the speed dropped temporarily. We had 6 members of the family around the kitchen table for supper one evening, and was a convivial squeeze! The sitting room was also comfortable and well lit, had a good log burning stove that was essential for making the house more comfortable during the frosty spell when we stayed (small logs are moved from a nearby shed in a wheelbarrow; not hard), and with a good TV showing Freeview channels. There are 2 quiet bedrooms with double beds, the smaller one with a modern ensuite shower room and WC, and there is a hall accessed modern bathroom with a bath, WC and a nice standalone shower as well. Clothes storage was easily sufficient for our stay, and in other hall closets there were spare towels, a mop and 2 buckets, a vacuum cleaner, an ironing board & iron; home from home! The property was light and felt airy, and had pleasant outside spaces, with chairs and tables. The garden is separated from a small flock of sheep in the next field; having a dog would be a problem though. There is space for 2 to 3 cars and the entrance and exit requires care, as it is sufficiently wide but not generous, as does the drive to the house. I would recommend having a car, rather than bicycles, as the nearest shops are in Tetbury, but also try Nailsworth and Malmesbury as interesting alternatives. The Westonbirt Arboretum and an enjoyable 9 hole golf course behind Westonbirt school (must book) are both in walking distance and further afield there is plenty of places to visit. There are some good walks locally as well, but take an Ordnance Survey map with you to test your orienteering skills and the public footpaths. You may find sitting in the garden sufficient! We will book again!

Our magical stay.
From start to finish this secret hideaway was more than we could have ever expected. The views of the surrounding country side were stunning, the walled vegetable garden an aspiration and the interiors were on par with home rather than a rental accommodation. An absolute joy, we can’t rate it highly enough.

Wonderful stay in delightful 2 bed cottage. Tranquil, peaceful setting, away from the road, and beautiful view. Modern, immaculate and well equipped. Could not have found a better place to stay. Very attentive, pleasant and helpful owners. Highly recommended.

Could not be better
If we had realized how peaceful, beautiful and well equipped this cottages was, we would have stayed much longer. The photos do not do the home justice. Even though you feel completely private, all the beauty and some lovely towns of the Cotswolds are within easy driving distance. We loved everything about our stay.

Fantastic cottage in idyllic surroundings
Beautiful holiday home in idyllic surroundings. Beautiful flowers from the garden next door and fine fruits have welcomed us. The furnishings and the cleanliness leave nothing to be desired. The peace and the fresh air are fantastic. We liked the surroundings and the beautiful nature very much. The tasteful furnishing (very comfortable beds) and the extensive "equipment" (it was all there) impressed us. We spend our holidays for many years in holiday houses. This holiday home is by far the best we have ever lived in. The sights recommended by Fionna were very useful. We visited almost all of them.
Highly recommended and anytime again!

Outstanding property!
As two Canadian couples travelling to the Cotswolds for 2 weeks we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay in terms of comfort, location and owner response. Beautifully renovated, spotlessly clean, very well equipped, very comfortable beds with lovely linens and the most picturesque country setting minutes from Tetbury with lots of great restaurants and pubs.
The owner Fionna was fantastic and greeted us with nice touches like fresh cut flowers, cookies, homemade jam etc. She went out of her way to ensure we had a comfortable stay. Highly recommended!

Stunning views of the English countryside
Charming, relaxed and very welcoming hosts in a stylish yet cosy home. This really was the best place we have stayed in England! The cottage was newly renovated, spotlessly clean and had glorious displays of freshly cut flowers from the garden to welcome us. The spacious kitchen-dining room has marvellous views and the bedrooms very comfortable beds furnished with soft, elegant bed linen. We loved the location as the beautiful Westonbirt Arboretum is within walking distance and it is very close (5mins drive) to the quaint old market towns of Tetbury and Malmesbury which are great for shopping for souvenirs and traditional tea shops .
Fionna was really helpful giving us lots of tips on the best places to eat and visit locally. Thank you Fionna - can’t wait to come back next year!
