The house was clean, and the location was great. However, it was weird in that it looked like it had been decorated and outfitted in 1965 and never updated. The former occupant must have been a really small guy. The master bedroom toilet was only 23" off the ground, and the dining room table was shorter than normal. The staff who handled the house were efficient and helpful.

We loved our time at Torch Lake! The property we rented, Windy C had everything you could possibly want and/or need.

This is a spacious house with lots of room for extended family. Our teenage children enjoyed the lower level game area. The dining room table was large enough for our party of 9 to sit comfortably and enjoy meals and board games together nightly. The property managers are terrific! They went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. Loved our stay!

great week
cottage had everything we needed, only suggestion would be to have keys at cottage other than picking up at rental office.

The kitchen had everything we needed. The lot is heavily wooded and peaceful. The beach was mostly sandy with some rocks. We would highly recommend it!

Impeccably clean. Probably cleanest rental we have ever experienced. Great location for boat and jet ski rentals. House decor was dated but well appointed with updated television with cable, excellent cell and wifi service. Kitchen had all that was needed to prepare all meals. Comfortable beds. Fantastic lake location and views. Large home could easily accommodate two families. Fire pit set up was great.

The house is really outdated, and it did get hot 2 of the nights without air conditioning. Although it is outdated, everything is clean and nice. Beds were comfortable. Views from the porch are amazing. We watched the sunset every night. Would rent again.

We viewed all the pictures on the website for this property and noticed the home is extremely outdated for the price we were going to pay, but it was the size and location that we needed, so we were ok with the outdated decor. The first thing we noticed upon arrival was that the grounds and outside of the house were not well maintained compared to many of the houses around beautiful Torch Lake and the many vacation homes we’ve previously rented at the price point we paid. To get inside the home, we had to walk through cobwebs and an abundance of dead bugs on and around the entrance. It looks like someone forgot to do their spring cleaning. When we entered the home, the inside of the home was close to 90 degrees. We searched for the AC control and could not find it. I called the property management and asked where it was located. We were shocked when they told us this summer rental home had no air conditioning. We were never informed of this and at that time, there was NOTHING on the rental site stating the home has no air conditioning. (This MAJOR detail has since been added to the site.) We had also spoken to the property management several times and this detail was never revealed There were a few small fans in the home, and after expressing our dissatisfaction and asking the property management for fans, they brought 4 additional fans. Unfortunately, for 4 of the 7 days of our vacation, the fans were of little comfort as the temperatures were high and the sun bright. Had we been informed there was no AC, this would not have been our choice for our family summer vacation. However, we were determined to make the best of a bad situation. The further along we got into our stay, the more issues arose. As I stated earlier, someone didn’t do the spring cleaning in this house. The bugs and cobwebs on light fixtures, in window sills and sliding door tracks were abundant. The windows were filthy. The appliances, like the home decor, are extremely dated. It took us 2 hours to heat a lasagna in the oven that must be 40+ years old, which appears to be the age of just about everything in the home including the carpet and furniture. If you don’t mind
over-paying for the location and the view, this is the house for you.

Excellent property. On water with nice view. Has everything you need. Even ping pong and pool is it rains. Decor is dated but still nice. We used everything including small swimming beach, campfire and dock.
