Really nice back yard pool area & roof deck with ocean view. Great place for two couples or a family to have as a home base for vacation! Close to the airport but up around 1000ft where the nights are cooler.

Very nice house
Very nice house
The house is very nice and clean with a good selection of utensils in the kitchen. The pool is going to be cold in the winter. We knew that. There are a lot of chickens in the neighborhood. You are going to have your windows open to keep the house cool. You will hear them in the morning. We didn't mind them.

My husband, our adult daughter, her husband, and I stayed at this lovely property. We are not resort people. We love to explore the history and customs at the various places we visit. This property was in Kona and afforded us the many opportunities of exploring. Driving to Hilo a few days, about two hours, including doing a zip line....was exceptional. However, the best aspect of this property was the exceptional communication of the management (Hailey) and her expert Erin. We felt comfortable letting them know when we needed dishwasher soap, or extra towels. The fast responses were greatly appreciated! Having access to laundry facilities was a plus and our family enjoyed the pool. We visited in January, a rainy time, but used the pool between raindrops. Living in Los Angeles, we enjoyed the rain since we get very little. It is a privilege to be able to have a place to stay that is well kept and that you can feel secure. We would stay here again if only we can be assured that Hailey and Erin were still part of the management team!

The home was lovely and nicely decorated. My husband, adult daughter, her husband and I enjoyed our stay immensely. The management company, with Hailey and Erin, was incredible! Best communication I have experienced in renting vacation homes! The owners are fortunate to have this team! Simple requests like more towels or soap for the dishwasher were quickly fulfilled. The pool was lovely---cool on the days it rained [January is the rainy season on the island] but nice on the warmer days. We enjoyed grabbing the ripe mangoes from the tree for breakfast! We cut the giant gardenias and placed them in a glass to add fragrance to the house [I grow gardenias as a hobby, so this was particularly fun] The house is well ventilated --we closed the house when we were out [in case of rain], then opened windows and doors for cross ventilation--with the fans provided in each room, this was very comfortable. My family and I enjoyed the proximity to Kona Coffee, luau, beach, and restaurants. They even have LYFT if you do not want to drive! Getting to Hilo was about 2 hours . Our donkey tour was cancelled because Hilo had flash floods. Driving in that rain made for white knuckles. We did go ziplining with Skyline Eco-Adventures at Akaka Falls [highly recommend--ask for Charles]. Light rain but dynamite views! It was nice to come home to our 'Island home' after our activities. The four of us had space so we could read, swim, watch TV, or walk. We would definitely come back to this gem on one condition, that Hailey and Erin would be part of the team. Exceptional management company! Brava! Bev
