Nice house in good location and very clean. It was great to be right by a park, market, and ice cream shop with the kids. The house was ready early so we got to check in early which worked out great, thanks vascaa for that. Only negative was the living room/kitchen was really warm without ac no matter the time of day or weather unfortunately. Othet than that tho we enjoyed it.

Great location for all the adventures! Also a very scenic area. We stayed during a hot week so we kept the blinds closed to keep the house cool. We tripped the circuit breaker with running all of the window AC units to cool the house, but my boyfriend braved going into the remote crawl space in the furthest part of the basement which was accessible only by going outside during a thunderstorm. Of course, I tripped it again but fortunately realized which light switch did it then. They did offer to send someone out, very responsive, but we just didn't turn on the light that would trip it. Also fortunately we had options because it has 3 nice size bedrooms and it was just the two of us. It was comfortable and had what we needed for a great stay! We did see a Black bear in the area which was really exciting! It was timid so we knew it would run off once we made a little noise. It was such a great town too and beautiful area! Franconia Notch State Park is incredible!
Looking forward to coming back some day soon!

I just finished a 5 night stay with my family (total 4 adults and 1 child). We loved the location - proximity to Franconia Notch attractions is great (Basin, Flume Gorge, Artist Bluff trail, Echo Lake Beach - which is amazing, btw!) As others have mentioned, the smell of mothballs is strong when you first enter, but we barely noticed throughout the rest of our stay. The kitchen is well-stocked with cookware, utensils, plates, etc.
The TV instructions seem out-of-date; there is a Roku TV with streaming capability, but no regular cable. The lower-level bed is more comfortable than the second level. AC units in the windows were AMAZING during the 90+ heatwave we had last week. Well-stocked with simple children's toys and many books; our 2-year old happily spent all week reading and playing with the provided books and toys instead of his own. Thank you for providing a safe and clean space for our vacation!

This was the 2nd of 3 houses we have booked! It was wonderful! Close to everything but still very private and tranquil!

I took my grown daughters on a long weekend trip to explore Franconia Notch. This home was perfect...clean, comfortable, plenty of space, a well equipped kitchen to cook dinners and enjoy time together! We could see the mountains peeking over the trees for morning coffee. We found some great spots to get into the mountains for hiking within a half hour drive. I look forward to coming back sometime soon! Thank you!!

Stayed here a couple nights during our Fall foliage visit this year. Central location with many things to do and see within an hour. Everything worked great at the house and it was clean and inviting.

Lovely little cabin not too far from I-93, super convenient for those looking to bag a few peaks or just explore the area. Super quiet and relaxing, too. Property has had some nice little upgrades and feels homey, with all the commodities. Only thing I would improve are the mattresses but everyone was still able to get a nice rest so I guess it’s alright. Franconia is a quaint little town with all the basic stuff but you’ll want to either head down to Woodstock or up to Littleton to get more options. We’ll definitely be back!

Great location, all the amenities you need, fine reading selection, dog friendly.

The two screen doors need replacing because the screens are hanging off their frames. There is an outside light switch for the kitchen door but no light.
Also the shower curtain rod fell down twice because it is not secured to the walls.

This house was perfect! It was very close to hiking, many other outdoor activities, Mt Washington, good restaurants, and a very nice grocery store. The house did smell a little of moth balls as mentioned in other reviews, but once the doors were open and we had fans running, you didn’t smell it at all! The kitchen is beautiful and had everything we needed and then some. We highly recommend and are definitely planning to stay at this place again!

We absolutely loved that the house was 4 minutes from the grocery store and 93. We loved the front porch over looking the views of Cannon mountain, we spent our afternoons before dinner enjoying a drink out here while we prepared dinner in the kitchen that had everything you needed. It was a great neighborhood to walk the dogs too, everyone we encountered was super friendly. There was AC in all 3 bedrooms which made sleeping comfortable. We can't wait to come back. What a great property. Thank you for sharing it with us. My only complaint is the bed in the master bed was like sleeping on a box spring, all the other beds were super comfortable. We loved everything about this little piece of heaven.

Lovely spot
It’s a little closer than we assumed to the main road but the cabin is bright, clean and well equipped. Nice central location to the best of the mountains in the area!

Perfect location!
This is our second year booking this house and we love how stocked up it is and also how it’s so kid friendly. Location is perfect and very quiet at night. My only complaints will be the bed on the master room needs to be fixed as it squeaks whenever someone sits on it and also the moth ball smell but I can understand why they need it.

Great home close to Franconia Notch State Park
It was minutes from the State Park and many great hiking and outdoor options. It was clean and spacious. Washer and dryer were a big plus.

Cozy family retreat
We loved our stay at this sweet mountain retreat. The view is spectacular. The home is cozy, clean and roomy. It's close to town and hiking. Walk out the door and your are surrounded by beautiful tree lined roads...perfect for hiking, jogging and sight seeing. I definitely recommend this home.

Notch lodge
This property had a well stocked kitchen for cooking and was clean. The smell of mothballs was strong, the windows needed cleaning and the grass needed mowing. We were concerned with ticks with children and dogs, the mountain view would have been nice with clean windows and we boiled spices in water to rid the mothball smell.

Absolutely beautiful cabin! Had a wonderful time.
My fiancé and I stayed here for four days with our dog. The location of this cabin is just perfect. Far enough away from any traffic or noise but still really close to a cute little town and about 8 minutes from a main shopping area. It’s close to many restaurants, grocery stores, and some cute local shops! The cabin was very clean and well furnished. The washer and dryer were amazing, beds comfy, couch nice and big, large dining table. They were kind enough to provide really anything you’d need to cook meals (plates, glasses, silverware, toaster, coffee machine, bowls, small appliances, dishwasher, nice clean fridge and microwave). They had soap, paper towels, cleaning supplies and ample trash bags.
There was a moth ball smell in the house, particularly in the laundry room. But honestly the place was absolutely perfect other than that. The view from that front window is just gorgeous. It’s a perfect cabin getaway near the mountains. We enjoyed staying here and would definitely stay again! Highly recommend!

Excellent!
This was exactly what we needed. A quiet place that was close to everyone we needed to visit. The house was clean and well stocked with everything we needed I was surprised and impressed by the kitchen. It had everything we needed to cook meals which saved us a ton of money. We will be booking again for next year!

Basic, clean cabin. No AC.
We had a nice stay 3-night stay here with 2 adults, 2 teens, and 2 dogs. Nice view of Cannon Mt. It was a heat wave and there was no AC so that was a challenge. The house has 2 box fans. One of the blinds in the kids' room was missing so it got really hot during the day. We tripped one of the circuit breakers and Vacasa helpline misinformed us about the location of the breaker box, but we were able to find it on our own (in the crawlspace in the basement through the bulkhead- on the plus side the basement is not scary). The boys found a Monopoly game when I asked where they replied, "In the closet that smells like hamsters." A few games and puzzles to pass the time, tv with cable, strong enough Wi-Fi. Kitchen has ample cookware, plates, utensils, etc. but BYO condiments. We pulled a few ticks off the dogs after they came in from the yard, so keep an eye on that if you stay with pets. Love the Franconia Notch area!

Very peaceful
The house had everything we needed. It was in a great location for hiking and not far from a cute little town with lots of shops. There were only three of us. There was a huge washer and dryer. We enjoyed the peace and quiet and roads to walk around the wooded area.

Perfect!
We had a great time staying here for a short break away. Sugar Hill & Franconia are beautiful, with breathtaking mountain views and wonderful little shops. There are plenty of walking paths and hiking trails, and we enjoyed exploring on foot from the house itself as well as driving to nearby places. Polly’s Pancake Parlor is right down the street, and Littleton is a a short drive with plenty more shops and a great candy store. Once we arrived I was immediately sent a welcome message with local contact information should any issues arise, which was lovely. We are so glad to have found this home for this and future stays.

Nice cabin with high end accessories
Loved location, next to I93 so super easy to get to Notch. Great high end accessories like the Bosch dishwasher, tea kettle and toaster. Well stocked with tons of utensils. Overall great time will be booking again.

Was just ok. Needs updating
First, the good. The view definitely looked better online but it was nice to sit and drink a cup of coffee on the deck looking at the mountains. The beds were comfortable and they had enough towel sets for multiple days.
They leave you with a wine opener and deck of cards which I thought was a nice touch. I wish they put that money towards real paper towels and a bottle of some cleaning spray. The house was decent but needs a few things.
Why I personally wouldn’t stay there again.
During the pandemic I feel as though the top blankets should be clean. They were not. I did laundry for the first 4 hours of being there.
Also, dishes and glasses were dirty so I went and bought paper and plastic to be safe.
The grill had chicken on it from the previous renters and The propane would not turn on. The jogger going by as I struggled with it for a while even tried to help. Broken.
The house was super dark at night and it was hard to eat dinner at the table. They need more lighting for sure. Also the Mountain View window should be cleaned between renters. There was finger prints all over the glass.
No cleaning products to be found except a couple of really old dirty looking bottles under the sink. I went and got everything I needed for the house including paper towels because the ones they had fell apart with water.
The house smells of moth balls really bad. I couldn’t stop sneezing in the laundry area especially.
The worst part- every morning we got up for sunrise except Tuesday which was our day to sleep in. It was so hot in the house so we left the windows open. We were woken up at 8am by a very loud lawn mower and dirt blowing in the windows. So that was fun.
With the lack of light in the family room and lack of things to do it would be nice if they had a fire pit so there is something for families after dark. Just my opinion.
I called shorty after to ask if we can check out an hour later so we can grab our stuff after the hike and they said no. 10am is a pretty early check out, especially with a late 4pm check in. I could understand if they were deep cleaning everything but that was not the case at all.
Anyways, I won’t stay here again. However, it’s not unmanageable for a short stay.
Bring cleaning products with you! :)

The place was perfect for four of us...each had our own bed, but could easily accommodate 6 adult...
Everything we needed was there for our cooking and eating. No need to bring anything! Near the mountains with lots to do and many nice restaurants nearby. Clean and comfortable. Would rent again.

Notch -a- average stay
Very pleasant cottage and super clean. Convenient location and quiet. Rustic furnishings but updated kitchen and baths. Priced a little high but maybe because it was the start of foliage season. Electric heat worked well except for one bedroom. Seems as though the owners use it for a ski camp.

Great, spacious home with a cozy feeling.
I stayed here with 3 friends for 4 nights and we loved it. There was plenty of room in the public areas to sit/lay back and relax. The bedrooms were spacious with plenty of closet space. The kitchen was fully equipped for cooking. Overall, it was very nice, not run down, pretty modern, but still keeping a nice almost cabin-like feel with the wood furniture.

Outstanding
So comfortable, spacious, cozy and felt like home, have privacy but not located away from civilization. It had everything we needed and more. My mom really loved all the small details and decor of the property! She was very surprised and pleased while on her birthday/mother's day weekend. More than satisfied. It's pet friendly too
