Canal. From the living room, you can gaze out on the sunrise or on the expansive porch that you can hang out on or at the BBQ on the outside covered deck with the table and propane heater or relax in the hot tub. The access to the beach is an easy way down with decks to stop and enjoy the view. You can clam on the beach or go out on kayaks and paddle just down the beach to the Dosewallips Wildlife Estuary or
You have access to the whole house and the beach. There are kayaks available for your use down at the beach.
Guests can access the house when they arrive. I am available by phone if needed. I live an hour away, so if there is an emergency there is a neighbor who helps out.
This is a quiet neighborhood. It is right off Highway 101 with little land and road between. It is a small town with a gas station, bar, restaurant, and general store, and that’s about it. There is hiking and many water sports in the area. If you bring your food, you will never want to leave.
Surrounding area:
Nearby Dosewallips State Park, with acres of clams and oysters and geoduck, is also a great place to beach comb at low tide. Brinnon is a hiker’s paradise and there are spectacular trails and breathtaking waterfalls in Brinnon or in the nearby Olympic National Park. Or check out the great mountain biking trails. Divers can see several species of rockfish, octopus and all sorts of crabs in one of the best diving locations in the Northwest, and diving gear can be rented close by. A little further down the road is Mount Walker. A short drive up the mountain at the scenic view area, you will be blown away by the spectacular views of the Olympic Mountain range and turn your head back east and see the City of Seattle skyline. According to our guests, our house on the edge of the Olympic National Park is an ideal location as a base for their adventures to explore the park. Olympic National Park covers 922,651 acres of three distinct habitat zones, the alpine region, the coastline, and the temperate rainforest. At 1,441 square miles, the park is larger than Rhode Island(1,214 square miles). In 1976, the park was named an International Biosphere Reserve by United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization, the park was made a World Heritage Site by the World Heritage Convention.
Take a short drive to the Olympic National Park at your back door, you are less then five minutes from Mount Walker where you can drive and see views of the Seattle skyline or, if you look in the opposite direction, you will see the beautiful snow peaks of the Olympics Mountain range.
To the north is Quilcene, historic Port Townsend, Sequim, and Port Angeles. Hurricane Ridge, out of Port Angeles, is a great place for hiking. Port Townsend is a great spot for antiquing and the Victorian homes are incredible to see.
Food : The Halfway House nearby is famous for excellent home cooking and homemade pies. Esquire magazine chose the nearby Geoduck Restaurant and Tavern #2 as the “Best Bar in America,” and Pleasant Harbor Marina, just down the road, offers superb pizza and sandwiches.

LOVED LOVED this place!! Perfect house, perfect location, perfect amenities, very quiet, close to hiking and water sports!! Small car is best, for the turn is a tough one. Restaurants are few and far between, but DELICIOUS!!!! Hiking is to die for in the Olympic Peninsula!!!! Oysters galore!!! Jets in hot tub need help, but otherwise just a lovely place!!!

This place is clean, warm, friendly and not overcrowded. We really enjoyed our stay. Were going to try and go out for dinner but after we saw the house we decided to eat in. The hot tub, sauna, deck with warm lights and swing were all so very nice but then you get to go to the Magic Message chair. This was a great and easy place to stay and would highly recommend;).

When I originally booked this place, it stated it accommodated 11 people, i had 8. Once we got there, I realized there was no way we could sleep this many people, once I pulled up the listing again, I notice it was changed from 11 to 5!! After I was upset with what I felt being lied to, I reached out to Jessica who was very sweet. She put me in contact with the owner, Beverly. Beverly could not see what the problem was. It was clear they agreed this place did not sleep 11, not even 8, and they updated it to 5!!! Yet, stood by her opinion saying I should have read the listing better. Yes, they said a sleeper chair, this chair couldn’t fit a midget. The futon beds were if we were all couples and had to cuddle up. Since my group was not all coupled up, I figured booking a place 3 under the sleeping limit would be very comfortable. It was not. Do not rent this place unless you have 5 max, this is two bedrooms with a small “tv” room.

This property was an absolute gem. The property came stocked with all that we needed to cook, relax and enjoy our time. The kitchen had plenty of utensils and pots/pans. The views were beautiful and the massage chair was the cherry on top.

Rented the space for my 30th birthday celebration with my friends. We all came in from different areas and check in was a total breeze. The house is well stocked, drawers are all labeled, everything you could possibly need is here. The hot tub was amazing, the sauna was incredible, and being able to access the canal just down a short flight of stairs was the height of luxury. There was 10 of us and it never felt cramped or crowded.
Going to find any excuse to come back and book here again!

Wonderful waterfront house with great dock
We loved this house in Brinnon, right on the water. Great unobstructed view of the sound. Nice deck with hot tub and dining table. Nice bench in the backyard and dock to enjoy the view. Superb kitchen. Bedrooms were very comfortable. Love the massage chair! Also a sauna in the backyard.
We enjoyed everything about this house. Will love to visit again!

Shock and Awe
Looked forward to a weekend away from the city and for such a long drive asked for early check-in, but was denied due to cleaners needing to do their thing. Showed up a couple hours before check-in at 4 to relax on the outside decks to wait out the cleaners. Once 4 rolled around we went in only to realize that the cleaners in fact had not actually showed up and the house was upside down. 2 ver reluctant neighbors showed up to help out and do the bathrooms and bedrooms at most and nothing else. Contacted the owner and the cleaning fee was waived, but after the amount of cleaning we ourselves had to do it was reaching late evening and our one day was taken away due to picking up after other people. So needless to say if you stay make sure in advance that the cleaners have been through and your not seeing other peoples trash.

This place was beautiful in regards to scenery and water view. Kinda a bummer the dinning room didn’t have a light in it. A couple little things need to be updated seems like. But the owner was really nice and helpful. The house was clean and comfy.

The place fits the description and then some. We enjoyed ourselves a lot on our short stay. The rainy weather we had was a bonus because it meant we could make the most of all that the house has to offer. Hopefully we can come back and stay a bit longer!
Beverly responded very promptly and kindly to our questions and made us feel very welcome.

Beverly's place is a rustic gem on Hood Canal. With four decks scattered on the property, there's always a spot in the sun, a spot to cool off in the shade, and a spot to watch seals and herons and kingfishers going by. The little beach is excellent, with nice shady spots under the trees and water that is super warm for swimming in summer time. The kitchen was well-stocked and makes great use of a small space; the bedrooms were comfortable; and all communications with the owner were prompt and easy. We would happily return.

This is a very, very special place: beautiful water views from all rooms in the house and the hot tub and sauna, an incredible location on the Hood Canal close to the Whitney Gardens and lots of great hikes, and an incredibly comfortable, well appointed house. I have stayed at numerous vrbo's but this house wins the prize for having everything you could possible want, AND, having these items in drawers with labels. Super helpful! It is truly a gem.

My husband , son and I thoroughly enjoyed this relaxing retreat in Brinnon on Hood Canal. The owners have done a great job of creating a spa-like vacay complete with hot tub and sauna. The media room is adorable! The views are great and the beds are luxurious. Brinnon itself does not have much to offer if you happen to be there when the weather isn’t great. But there are lots of hiking trails and parks otherwise. I would suggest bringing lots of food as the restaurant/grocery store choices are VERY limited. Place is super clean!

The home exceeded our expections. The house is beautiful with everything you need and more. Lovely furnishings. A great place for two adult couples with separated bedrooms and bathrooms. We would definately go again!
