About this apartment rental
Maine and Acadia National Park welcomes you!
Enjoy our quiet secluded location just a short drive from the town of Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. A one bedroom, one bathroom efficiency apartment with its own private entrance. Our street is very quiet and off the Peggy Rockafeller farm and surrounded by mature oak and maple trees making for a very relaxing location. Deer and wild turkeys frequent our yard daily and a welcome addition to morning coffee on the patio, or in the hammock in the backyard! We welcome families and children! We are 6 miles from Bar Harbor’s shopping, restaurants and main attractions and an equal distance to the beautiful Somesville, Maine and western side of Acadia National Park. Easy, quick access to Eagle Lake Carriage Roads (4 miles) and Park Loop Road (5 miles) makes for easy access to the rest of Acadia National Park. We are a great resource for suggestions and planning your vacation in Bar Harbor and Acadia and look forward to you experiencing the best of our beautiful island!
Owners live on property with their family and two dogs. We share the mud room wall and give you the utmost privacy. Please note the bathroom has a beautiful bear claw tub to soak in and a shower attachment that can be tight for taller people. 6 foot men have had no problem but if a guest has mobility issues we want to be clear about this ahead of time (photos are included). The unit is upstairs so if you have coolers or any issues with carring luggage up a flight if stairs that would be a draw back. *Please note if you have previously stayed with us or see all the reviews about dogs, we are temporarily not dog friendly since we got a yorki puppy!

Cute little place close to the National Park and Bar Harbor. Exactly as advertised. Loved the hammock in the backyard to sit and unwind after a day of hiking. Jennifer was very hospitable. We got a lot of great restaurant and hike ideas from the host. Note Wi-Fi can be a bit spotty at times.

It was perfectly located for hiking. It was in a very peaceful area.

The host is friendly and helpful. Location allowed us to get to many activities on the island that we came to the area to see.

Great location for us as we primarily come to hike and try to avoid crowded Bar Harbor.

Clean, quiet and peaceful.
We would stay there again.

This relaxing efficiency was exactly what we needed in Bar Harbor. We were minutes away from Acadia National Park and never had to deal with the crowds in Bar Harbor. The owners were very helpful in providing suggested hikes and carriage roads to explore as well as local restaurants. The space seemed larger than in the pictures, clean and comfortable. Loved our stay and would book again.

Great spot about 10 minutes away from the busy Bar Harbor area. Perfect for a couple! Quiet neighborhood. Hosts were very accommodating. We would stay here again!

It was charming Quiet and clean, Jennifer was very nice and had a lot of info for the area, hikes, places to eat.
They contacted us by email before arriving with easy to follow instructions, I would recommend for any couples

Jennifer and Jeremy were wonderful and welcoming hosts. Jeremy provided a map with suggested hikes in Acadia to do and Jen told me about best places to eat outside Bar Harbor. The place was clean and cozy and just what I needed for a relaxing vacation.

What a fantastic place to stay!! With how busy it gets in Bar Harbor it was amazing to be able to get out of the hustle and bustle. Great location for Acadia as well. Jen’s suggestions for trails and restaurants were spot on. We felt completely at home with everything we needed plus a back yard for our dog to run a bit. We would definitely stay here again!!

The place was very quiet and away from the busy Bar Harbor area. The location was awesome to the park and Southwest Harbor. The owners were very nice and had a lot of good recommendations for places to eat and great places to hike and bike.

The studio was great in the sense that it was away from all the touristy aspects of Bar Harbor and yet so close to Acadia, a quiet getaway in the woods! It was generally clean (there was some dog hair in the rugs and the linens in the bathroom were a bit tired). The kitchen cooking equipment was just as stated so no surprise there. The bed was super comfy with nice linens. I would definitely worry about the bathroom if I were an older person (I wouldn’t have my 80+ mom to stay here). You have to climb in the tub over the edge and the curtain and shower head present a bit of a challenge. And most days the water was luke warm. Overall I’d stay again solely based on its location. The hosts were very nice!

We were pleasantly surprised by the accommodations! The room was actually quite large, well equipped and attractively decorated. A private deck adjoined the entrance with a view of a grassy lawn and woods beyond. Contrary to another post, we were able to manage the stair with our luggage despite being in our late 70s+.

A beautiful over the garage apartment that was clean, new, and efficient with conveniences of WIFI and light cooking in a wooded neighborhood within driving a short driving distance of Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. We enjoyed the hiking and the delicious food from local restaurants and the quiet out in the country neighborhood. (We heard the first Whip-o-will since my childhood!) Their loveable golden retriever, Lucky, welcomed us home every evening. A truly delightful experience, and our thanks to Jennifer and Jeremy for their hospitality.

Nice location and a very pleasant host.
The stairs would be too much for anyone in their late 70's.
Great place for a dog as there was woods out back to walk them.
One recommendation would be to have a mat that would stick down in the bathtub.
Nice central place to get to the hikes in Acadia.
We were blessed with nice weather also.

The property was as described. Lots of space and everything we needed. Close to Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor. We had an enjoyable stay. Nice area for a walk to the Stone Barn Preserve trails too.

Great location on the island. It was about a 10 to 20 minute drive wherever we wanted to go to. Beautiful hikes and lakes close by. Gave us a lot of good food and hike recommendations.

Jennifer’s place was a wonderful home base for us when we visited! It was very clean and charming. We brought our 2 dogs and they settled in quickly and had a great time! Jennifer is also super responsive and helpful. Definitely stay here if you can when visiting Acadia!

Somewhat centrally located on east side of island makes getting to and from all points easy.
The room is cozy and nice. My wife and I are very tall so the shower was a challenge. We noticed that there was no stove for cooking the night before we were to check in, we packed up a bunch of left overs and just nuked them. Really this was a blessing as less hassle and cleaning. Overall I would stay again.

This is the perfect location if you're spending time in Acadia. The place is quiet, comfortable and convenient. And fully stocked with everything you need if you're spending a few days or more in Bar Harbor. I would stay here again and definitely recommend it!

We enjoyed this property for a second time in 2 years! Clean, convenient and quiet. 10 minutes from the park entrance and from downtown. My adult daughter and I stayed here with our dog Cali. She loves it here! The wooded location is ideal to retreat to after the hustle and bustle of downtown bar harbor. The accommodations are perfect! Hosts are easy to communicate with. Highly recommend!

Great place to really get away from a busy lifestyle and the hosts are great. Kept the place clean and were accessible even though we didn’t need any help. Only knock I would say is the WiFi is a little spotty but other than that it’s a great place that’s close to town and hiking trails.

Beautiful Space to Reset
My husband and I booked this space last minute and we’re not disappointed. We were able to bring our cat with us which was less stressful than trying to find someone to stay with him last minute. We made a new furry friend as did our cat; the hosts dog Lucky was the absolute sweetest and was having a grand old time getting to know our Milo. There is so much to do from relaxing activities to hikes to delicious food, the hosts beautiful yard and fire pit. The family was so kind, quick to respond to any messages, and great to talk to :)

Great long weekend right outside of Bar Harbor!
Great 1 bedroom apartment in a beautiful area that is a short 10 minute drive outside of the center of town in Bar Harbor. The apartment has a really lovely patio to sit and have coffee in the AM overlooking the backyard and is super close to all the sights and hiking trails in Acadia Park. Highly recommend staying here and would come back!

We enjoyed our stay at Bar Harbor. Having the peace and quiet of being outside of downtown was great and gave us outdoor space for our dog. Location was still close enough to get to downtown and Acadia park in less than 15 minutes. Would stay again if we find ourselves visiting Bar Harbor in the future.

The hosts were lovely and the property was centrally located to everything by car including Bar Harbor shopping and dining and Acadia hiking trails. It was nice to have a full size refrigerator, microwave and toaster oven so we could do our own breakfast/snacks etc.

We really enjoyed our stay here! It was clean, cozy, comfortable, and far enough away from the crowds while being a short drive away from everything on the island. We will definitely be coming back to visit Acadia in the future and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!

Very nice host. Accommodations were well-appointed and very comfortable. Enjoyed early morning peaceful and picturesque walks with our dog. Very accessible. Great being able to brew a pot of coffee each morning.

I wish there were more stars to give. My dog Milo and I had a wonderful stay at Jennifer and Jeremy's lovely home in the woods. It was a quiet, serene escape from all the bustle of Bar Harbor. We really felt like we were home. The apartment was the perfect size for the two of us and we both enjoyed sitting on our deck looking out at the beautiful surroundings. The owners have created a wonderful little trail on their property and Milo and I walked there every morning before heading out on our adventures. All the amenities were exactly as stated by the owners and we could fund no fault with anything. We can't thank our hosts enough for letting us share their lovely home during a week of the best weather mother nature could have given us. Milo sends Lucky his regards and says he wishes he had more time to play, but Mom kept dragging him off on awesome hikes around Acadia. It was our best vacation ever. Thanks Jennifer and Jeremy! We hope we can stay with you again the next time we visit MDI. Love, Lin and Milo Jung
