Kitchen is excellent!

The cottage was so cute and cozy! We loved being able to walk one block to the farmers market, having our own parking spot in front of the cottage and how tastefully decorated and well stocked the cottage was. The property management folks was very nice and communicated well. We would definitely stay here again. Loved it.

The cabin is in an incredible location, easy to walk all around town. The place is a little smaller than expected, I'm 6'-1" tall and had to crouch to use the bathroom and get in bed, but it was cozy and relaxing.

We stayed at this property to attend a friend's wedding and we were not disappointed! It is so close to all of the "hot spots" and Green Lake Trail. It was a quick drive to other trailheads. The property was clean and the amenities were as listed. We had a wonderful trip!

Location was perfect. Everything is in walking distance. The cottage was cute, the pictures accurate, but feel obligated to disclose some things we did not like. These things might not matter to you, so it would be a great rental, if they aren't deal breakers for you:
Cons:
1) This is an A-Frame house which the pictures disclose. What I did not get from the pictures is that the 1 bed in the house requires you to crawl into the bed from the right side. Or, you can hunch over to get in from the left. However, you cannot stand up straight, so I bumped my head 2 times in the middle off the night getting out of bed because I was semi-asleep and forgot. I did not like this feature AT ALL.
2) There is no A/C. This is my fault, because the description clearly indicates there is no A/C. I was told many folks in this part of the country don't have A/C because it gets cool at night. We went in late August and the days got up to 80(ish).... sorry, but around 9-10pm, it was still warm in the bedroom & we had a hard time sleeping. They did put a box fan in the closet which we used, but I didn't like the noise. I won't assume in the future that all houses in the US have A/C.
Gotta end with a Con:
1) Management company is extremely responsive. We had issues with the lock when we arrived, and their 24/7 oncall response was top-notch.

Absolutely charming and comfortable! Sits in the perfect location. Walk to all the restaurants and shops as well as several trailheads.

Close to downtown Crested Butte. Close to town shuttle to get to Crested Butte Ski area. Quiet and well maintained. Walk was shoveled the same day it snowed. Overall a great place. We would stay again.

Margeaux's Cottage was clean, comfortable, great location close to shuttle bus stop, restaurants and shops. Felt like home away from home. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Block off Elk. Ton of snow but our entryway was always cleared. Great place.

Perfect cottage for our week in the mountains
We had an amazing stay. Location was two blocks from the ski shuttle (3 minute walk) and one block from Elk street. We walked everywhere. The cottage was comfortable and clean. Washer and dryer in the home was an added bonus! We will be back!

800 feet from the shuttle
Super convenient location. The only time we got in the car was to move it to the other side of the street for snow cleaning.

Might be our favorite
My husband and I have been coming to Crested Butte for many years and have stayed in many rental homes, at all times of year. Margaux’s Cottage may be our favorite ever.
We love the big open space of the downstairs, especially the fireplace and the large island in the kitchen. The sofa and chairs are very comfortable.
The bedroom upstairs is very roomy and the bed itself was very comfortable. The bathrooms are small but not a problem.
The location is perfect, a very short walk to elk and a bus stop for the mountain shuttle.
We will definitely be back.

Great location
We really enjoyed our stay in Crested Butte. We were in town and could walk to everything. I enjoyed the bathtub and having two bathrooms. We had a nice sitting area in the backyard that we shared with our neighbors. The only thing I didn’t like were the stairs going up to the bedroom. They are steep and the stair surface is only 5” so I walked sideways. Minimum should be 10”.

Cozy beautiful in a great mountain town
We loved it, had to get over a couple things. Small bed if you are over 6' tall you need to be flexible and the shared backyard. However, it truly is a well maintained, beautiful place to stay. And Brandon from Iron Horse staff was great guy/very responsive. We could see staying here again ;-)

Convenient to Downtown
Nice place for a couple. A little quirky but worked out fine. We really liked the convenience to walk just a block to the downtown scene. Finding the key when we got there was a little challenge, but after that it worked just great.

Outstanding Location in Well Appointed Cottage
Everything about this property was exceptional with one glaring problem which is why a 4 star rating. The mattress on the Queen sized bed needs to be replaced it is ok but not overly comfortable for two adults.

Almost great
Remote batteries died
Front door was hard to unlock
Checkin info should be sent sooner … no poor reception in town .. ceilings were slanted and hit head in bathroom and room Kitchen table too small to sit at … but everything else was nice !! Kitchen and fridge were nice

Central to Town
This was a perfect escape. Great location within walking distance to the main street. The house was well appointed and elegantly decorated. Would have loved to have 2 chairs for the back porch to sunbath. Check out Shazam Pizza, Butte Bagels, and the Rum distillery Montanya while in town. All were delicious places to eat. The ski resort is just a 2 mile drive up the road. Parking is a little strange having to move your vehicle every day for odd and even days for snow clearing.

Sweet little house
Iron horse was great to work with. The house was great for two people. Love the patio, although I didn't realize it is shared with the house next door. There are a few things that could be updated and I had to do a little cleaning. Overall, we were happy and would stay there again.

Cute and close
Very cute cabin and close to downtown area (just one block off Elk).
The stairs are steep and narrow.

Nice Crested Butte house
Very nice house and a great location that's close to the west end of Elk Ave. and the shuttle stop that's 2 blocks away. Comfortable sheets on a slightly soft bed. Very few complaints. The upstairs bathroom door creaks loudly when it's just about to shut, an aggravation to the person who's trying to stay asleep in the middle of the night. And it would be nice to have a chair upstairs, though I understand the sloped ceiling might make that difficult to pull off. Lastly, be aware the house does not have an ice maker in the fridge. Other than that, we had a great stay and can't wait for our next visit to Crested Butte.

Crested Butte in June - what's not to love
The cabin has everything you need. Comfortable bed and nicely furnished. The stairs leading up to the bedroom are steep and the sloped ceiling can be tricky, but this 60+ couple had no real trouble (just a bumped head once or twice). The location is great - we were there during Bike Week and it was great fun, and the one block off Elk was enough to keep it fairly quiet later in the evening. The patio flowers were beautiful - but note that this space is shared with the house next door, so no coffee in your bathrobe. Parking is in front of the cabin - but even during a big summer weekend we did not have trouble finding a place - not certain how this will work during winter and snow removal days. We love this town and it was great to find another cozy spot to stay for future adventures.

killer location
Excellent location near restaurants. Very roomy and nicely appointed. We would stay there again. Only suggestion is to fix steps to street - bottom step fills with water and turns to ice. Be careful!

Cozy place in town
Perfect place to stay in town. Very clean with comfy bed and comforter. Close to all the restaurants and shops. Only one downside - be careful getting out of bed with the slanted ceiling! Charming, but get up slowly ;-)
Love to come back in the summer as the patio looks very inviting.
