The staff were so welcoming and a pleasure to get to know. A true family run business with a high attention to detail. A very beautiful serene location where you truly feel away from it all. The spa services were excellent and so was the food. Marcos and Carlos went above and beyond to make sure our stay was very comfortable.
I really can't think of anything. It was perfect and I'd be more than happy to recommend it to family and friends.

The boutique hotel architecture was modern and casual. The staff was helpful and fun. The pool was clean and fresh, with a great ocean view and a diversity of birds around. The food was simple but had good quality and taste. The beach towels were great to have as the aloe vera sunburn lotion.
the hotel is in progress. It needs a restaurant which is under construction. It wasn't easy to enter the hotel because it was on a steep hill, and we did not have a gate opener. So every time, we had to stop the car, ring the bell, wait for it to open, go down the hill, and get in. The jacuzzi needed to be turned on for 30 minutes before it had hot water. It also had a pool of cold water around, but it was stagnant and had dead bugs.
The room balcony was nice, but the wood chairs were not the most comfortable and easy to put in and out.

Loved everything about our stay, staff were lovely and very helpful.
Waking up to the howler monkeys was amazing.
Nice and peaceful, shuttle to take you to town each day.
Will definitely be staying there again

This was an amazing hotel with fantastic staff. Virginia, Sylvia and Maria pampered us and it was so relaxing. The room was very comfortable and perfect. When we were stressed about one of our flights being disrupted, Virginia and Sylvia helped us to arrange transport to the airport and figure out our new itinerary. We also have to mention Charlie the dog, such a friendly guy! We will not forget their kindness and we won’t hesitate to stay next time we are in Costa Rica. This hotel epitomized Pura Vida 😊

We LOVED our stay in Tamarindo. The hosts were so helpful with food and activity recommendations and went above and beyond to ensure we had the best week away from home.

hospitality, hospitality, hospitality.... The owner runs the place and Maria (sorry, I hope it is your name) was really friendly and have such a big smile. I have diet restriction due to me being diabetes so I coudn't eat some of the tropical fruits they offer at the breakfast. She asked me what fruit is OK for diabetetes so I told her I can eat strawberries. Next morning she served strawberries. How thoughful! The hotel is modern and very clean. There are only 6 units I think so the entire area was quiet and peaceful. We really enjoyed our stay at this place.
The hotel is in out of nowhere. We had to drive dirt road for about 8 minutes to get to this hotel and it was sun down so pitch black out there. We were little concerned whether we were going the right way because there is nothing there on the road. So be aware that you need to travel some dirt road and it is better to get there before sun down.

The privacy, the spectacular nature view from the pool, our room/bungalow, the staff, everything.
Would be good to have more breakfast options such as pancakes haha.

The rooms are lovely; we took a jungle view and we were very happy about it (it really feels like a little jungle lodge!)
The hotel is very small (6 rooms I think?) so it’s very quiet & peaceful, which we really enjoyed
The pool is nice (but small) with a distant ocean view.
The hotel is closed to Tamarindo which is a nice touristic town (very touristic actually; but the benefit for us was that it has some great restaurants)
The road to get to the hotel is very tricky… make sure you have an SUV…
The breakfast was basic for that price.

If you are not afraid of taking a 10 minutes bumpy ride on a dirt road from Tamarindo to this place, it is the hotel of your choice. The bungalows are perfectly designed and fulfil every desire of a high end stay in the jungle. The staff is extraordinarely nice and helpful, and we had the greatest time here in Tamarindo staying in this hotel. If you don't want to miss a sunset at the infinity pool (see picture), don't wait and book.
There is really nothing to complain about.

The staff was very nice and helpful. Great suggestions on where to eat and what is going on that evening. I had an ocean view and was a corner unit. The views from the balcony was beautiful. The modern cottage was really nice and tranquil. Outside of my unit, within the trees was a large family of monkeys. About a $10 cab drive into town.
You aren't charged for your accommodation until you arrive. You are given a choice of paying cash for the original amount quoted or credit card where your charged about $100 more. Didn't have cash on me so ended up paying extra. If I would have known this before arriving, I would have gotten cash.

was remotely off the beaten path but was not difficult to get to was at the top of the hill with a great view over tamarindo
can’t say there was much not to like

-As mentioned in the title, the rooms (indeed all rooms are fancy bungalows) are very modern and stylish equipped with everything you will need (plenty of sockets, AC, ceiling fan, smart tv, soap and shampoo, a fridge and a coffee machine).
-We had one with sea views. Because the hotel is a little bit too far from the ocean I would instead speak of views in direction of the sea, but anyway the location itself is fantastic.
-room service has daily cleaned our room
-the pool looked nice but we did not use it because we are not such into pool swimming😜
-The staff itself is bit cool, or distanced to say it better. Because the hotel is led familiar. But this is just a point and we are not disappointed by this because we like our privacy. And just to say it, they were very friendly and offered to help us with our bags😊
-The street to the hotel is very steep and bumpy, I strongly suggest a 4WD to come here otherwise I don’t know if you make it there🙈🤣
-Maybe the steps up to the rooms. You have to be fit.
Overall we had a great stay here with just a few little things we don’t liked.

Pacific Kalokairi is a beautiful place to stay when vacationing in Tamarindo. The host, Virginia, and the staff are welcoming, super friendly, helpful, and very accommodating. The pool, the views, and the room accommodations are exquisite. Each guest has their own bungalow. They are modern, aesthetically beautiful and comfortable. This lovely spot is on a hillside, up a bumpy dirt road with expansive ocean and Tamarindo views in one direction and mountainous jungle views all around. It was hard to say goodbye to the wonderful people and this incredible location!

The room was fantastic, spacious, quiet. The family running the Hotel were friendly.
The breakfast isn’t really 4 Star and not much either compared to other accommodations. As obviously the road up to the Hotel is really quite a challenge 😕

Sylvia and the crew were exemplary! We will definitely come back here. The breakfast is perfect, the pool is amazing and the eco lodges are paradise.

The breakfast was great and they offered your traditional breakfast with different options; eggs and bacon, omelettes, choices of juices and coffee/tea, etc.
What we loved about this property was the peacefulness and quietness above the hills of Tamarindo and the scenic ocean view. We stayed here for this purpose and to be away from the hustle and bustle of the beach town for our last day in Tamarindo. Sitting by the pool as the sunsets and hearing little parakeets, howler monkeys, and the many animals/birds really connected us into nature for one last time before we caught our flight home.
The rooms were beautiful and spacious and the high ceilings and glass walls brought in the true natural environment into your living space. We slept soundly feeling like we were back in Monteverde.
The staff were all very kind and very helpful and they truly cared for their guests (including their gentle and friendly dog Charlie). The hotel also offers free scheduled shuttle service into town and back to the hotel. This was very accommodating :)
Thank you again for making our stay so comfortable and for your great hospitality. We cannot wait to be back and spend more time here.
Until we meet again!
