La decoración, el personal muy atento, amigables, la habitación, cama confortable
En las áreas comunes falta limpieza, sillas de piscina un poco descuidadas, poco personal para la atención en los puestos de
Piscina, poca variedad de comida

We liked the facilities. The food was amazing.
We were disappointed with the customer service. Here are two examples. First, after enjoying a great Teppanyaki dinner, my stepdaughter asked for ice cream. The response was that it was not included in the Teppanyaki menu, and the only option was the matcha cheesecake. Such a response was unexpected in an all-inclusive hotel. The other example occurred during lunch; we were suddenly informed that the restaurant was closing. I only had the opportunity to have a salad. Our recommendation would be to inform customers upon arrival that the restaurant closes at a certain time. Additionally, there should be a reminder 10 minutes before closing.

La atención en el bar del Lobby es muy buena.
Deberían existir más opciones de comida durante el día. De igual manera, el servicio a la habitación no debería cobrarse y deberían existir opciones de bebidas después de las 10 pm

The place is amazing, there's all type of activities and restaurants
Getting reservations for the restaurants gets very complicated, we weren't able to consolidate a reservation, even when we ask with anticipation, it was imposible

Super clean and safe friendly

I loved the pool area! Just needed to have more snack food available there..
The facilities were the cleanest I have ever been.
..again more food available in pool area. Lol

The resort was overall beautiful. Although it was a smaller than expected from looking at the resort photos. Upon check-in, the receptionist "50 shades of grey" was sick. Coughing, wiping her nose. I had to request multiple times for her to cover her mouth and santizer her hands. I eventually asked her why was she not wearing a mask to keep others from being sick. Moving on, while she was checking us in, She tells me that the room I requested was not available due to it being a high travel time. That I could get a refund if I preferred on the room and change resorts. Mind you, I just traveled from the US with my kids the day after 4th of July. There are no available rooms or all inclusive resorts available to check-into. I just spent 60.00 on transportation to get to the resort. Wish someone would have notified me of this prior to requesting at least 1st night payment while I was still in the United States. Angrily, I had no choice but to stay. The room was nice, clean, small. I requested double Queen beds with an ocean view as I was traveling with my 2 kids, my son 19 and daughter 12. I got one King and a sleep out sofa (very uncomfortable) with a partial ocean view....there were like 3 other buildings in front of mines leaving only the tip of the ocean visible with not great for photos either. The food was mediocre nothing impressive. It was enough to sustain until arrival back home. They did have an event each night at 7/8pm followed by Karoke and Live DJ till 1am. Some excitement for night life. Overall, I would not return this resort. I have checked Coasta Rica off of my lists of places to travel.

The staff was really friendly except at the steakhouse those trying to up sell were rude when you said no. Nice activities in the evening
Limited in things to do except swimming. Not able to walk had to catch the shuttle but they ran frequently

The location was nice and secluded. The views were also amazing.
We did not like being approached all the time by a lot of staff members to upgrade to another status. We had already paid a lot of money for our stay and only realized once we had checked in that we did not qualify for somethings. We also found that some of the staff were rude and unfriendly. We did have an issue when we checked out which made us feel that we had not even been a guest at the hotel. We were treated really poorly and felt disregarded by the staff working at the outside lobby area. Our suitcases were left in the heat, and we were not even allowed back in to use the restroom before our 6-hour drive.

The view and some of the staff were amazing. Fernanda, Ernesto, Javier, Juan, Jazdan, Emerson, Pamela, and the Steakhouse Manager were the best parts of the stay.
I would not go back if they paid me. Fernanda was one of the best parts of this trip and saved this hotel.
I want to start this review by saying it isn't always where you start but where you finish.
Planet Hollywood Costa Rica is nothing like the brand anywhere else. Planet Hollywood Costa Rica has around 300 rooms and boasts 5 on prim restaurants, a cafe, and a sports bar. Again, keep in mind that if you have been to Planet Hollywood anywhere else, that is not the experience here.
I had a 7 night stay in a star class suite with an ocean view. I was in building 11 off of the main building. I literally walked to dinner every day, and it only took a few minutes to navigate through the building. To get to the pool area, they had ahuttles available, but sometimes it was easier just to walk. But beware the hills here are a workout. Upon arrival, they clap and take photos as you walk thecred carpet as well as present you with a refreshing cocktail. Star class normally afford you a seprate check in, but i was told they were busy, so i was checked in like everyone else. My room wasn't ready so we had lunch in the buffet. The food in the buffet looked to have been sitting out all day. I only ate there twice as the selection didn't change much from day to day. But they did have a roped off section for star class residents to eat.The room was well maintained, and the pillow bar, personal fragrance, and view were the highlights of the room. Our personal concierge Fernanda went above and beyond to try and make this trip unforgettable. Now, keeping in mind this is not Cancun or one of the bigger brands, the service to me lacked the entire time. For this to be a smaller hotel, they do not have the best customer service and just missed the mark on several occasions. I tried all of the restaurants on site. By far, hands down the best restaurant was the Asian restaurant. Emerson, Ernesto, and our habchi chef Javier made me wish I ate there sooner.

stunning decor, nice views, food and hospitality staff very nice.
The check in and out staff are awful and rude makes you leave with a sour taste . the property is built on a hill it is not mobility friendly. they do have a shuttle service very infrequent at peek times.
Italian restaurant waste of time. buffet is better.

Loved the night entertainment especially the fire show that lasted an hour!! The food was very good for an all inclusive. The pool is very pretty and fun environment. Golf cart service made the large resort very easy to get around
The room smelled musty. There was a spider in the bathroom. Did not feel that the room itself was 5 star but the resort was very nice
4.1
the food. the staff. the star status
I wish there was more access to water around the property. it would save the very talented bar tenders some time- and let the guests grab a glass ir bottle whenever they wanted to hydrate without waiting for three mixed drinks to be made for the person in front of them.

Except for one very rude bartender from Time Out the staff was exceptionally nice and helpful. Special thanks to the Premiere bar (Paola, Sharon, Heber) they were beyond amazing.
The room was spacious and the bed was super comfortable.
All the food was great. We visited all restaurants and the food was good in all of them.
Our P.A. Jeffrey was amazing and helpful. He even brought us an anniversary treat to our room.
Rude bartender in Time Out bar refused to serve drinks to our table at 10pm stating the bar was closed (It actually closed at 1am, he was just being rude)
Star Class used to have more benefits, our last day (weekend) the private pool was so full there was no room to sit and have a drink. Also the bars were short stocked in different types of liqueur.
We felt they were short staffed through out our stay. Not enough waiters at the pool nor restaurants.
Our room was poorly stocked, no iron machine. Only one bar of soap. Snacks not refilled.
Cleanness of the room was good, of the overall hotel not so much. We woke up to cigar butts and cans of beer in the lobby almost everyday.

The staff was amazing. Everyone was pleasant and accommodating.
The room service portion sizes were very small and our food was delivered cold.

Excellent everything was hollywood made, the STAR class welcoming applause, the cocktail the VIP Check in, I mean it was so cool you feel like a Star. My "butler" bent backwards for me to get me what I needed. MR. HERMAN HAYLOCK, on point!!! The MR. JOSEPH CONTRERAS at the restaurant....man he lighten up the mood with his hot Gelato show...the whole restaurant was quite and borring but thid guy did a flaming show and everyone was amazed...great job. The check in and check out was fast and easy not too many questions ask. THANK YOU DANNY @ Star Class VIP check in. My rating is 10+ and my recommendation will ALWAYS BE. PH you guys gave me a real vacation.

The room was amazing, however the blackouts weren't really blackout
They ran out of beer and piña coladas the first day, since you can't book the restaurants is very difficult to be able to eat at one

The food was fresh and very tasteful.
The pools closed at 7 pm and not a lot of entertainment on the resort.

prices are a little higher than in comparable hotels

great property and amazing customer service!
never had beach towels when we were at the pool.

I loved the restaurants on the resort as well as the grounds being so large. Enough space to not feel on top of one another while being at the main pool. Drinks were great and service was exceptional.
The buffet could’ve been better. The breakfast wasn’t great and the food most times was cold.
4.1
The grounds were amazing. Swim up bars superb. Spa amazing. Lobby great!!! The butler service was amazing. I give all applause to FERNANDA!! SHE WAS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!
Food in restaurants needs to be served hot. Buffet food needs to be hotter. The warmers are way too low. Food is to be served hot. Hostesses need more training in customer service. They were a little snappy and aggressive.

food
experience with start class! they remains us everywhere that we were not part of VIP group

The property is very well maintained and very clean. Housekeeping comes twice per day and the staff makes you feel very welcome!
I was not too fond of the beach. I know it’s a black sand beach but it’s just very lackluster. I also did not like the offering of the celebrity traveler’s club package and presentation. We were told to just check it out but felt pressured to do it. In the end. we did not choose to be apart of that because the cost outweighs the benefits to me.
