The house is beautiful. We had 12 people staying in the house. It was nice to have the little kids downstairs in their own area while the adults slept in. The beds were a hit and miss on comfort. The kitchen was awesome had plenty of everything you need. The view from the deck was so awesome. The fire pit was great for some s’more. We didn’t use the hot tub.

Multiple spaces for family to eat, relax and play. We used all of them, outdoor picnic tables to each; outdoor chairs to relax and enjoy the view, indoor large dinning table for our family of 11 to eat and play games, downstairs pool table, tv and sitting area, upstairs living area to enjoy some TV and converstaion and a kitchen that was large enough for many to cook. Loved our stay

Great amount of space, needs updating
Great space, great views, but subpar condition of the house. Several broken drawers, chairs, cabinets… the chairs in the dining room were all broken that we had to make sure the kids all sat on the bench. The space was great, but a bowl full of water under the kitchen sink catching the leak. Just needs some TLC….but disappointed with the condition of the home with the amount of money we spent.

Great place for families
We have stayed there twice and the layout is wonderful. Safe for children to play. Downstairs bedroom could use a new mattress. We will book again

Perfect Mountain Cabin Experience
Bear the View was the perfect cabin for our multi generational early Christmas weekend. The bedrooms are so comfortable, and it has every amenity we needed. The extra touches of a beautifully decorated tree, books for the kids to read, even the snowman decorating kit made it just over the top. Can't wait to go back!

What a perfect stay!
This cabin was absolutely PERFECT! It's located at the top of the mountain thus offering a beautiful view! There's a large deck outside that's great for hanging out any time of the day. The cabin is spacious and very accommodating. I can't WAIT to return!

Weekend of Bearable Fun
We loved the facility! The view was breath taking, the house was perfect, and everyone fit comfortably!
Everything worked, although we had trouble with the multiple tv remotes. We enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit all weekend.
The kitchen is well equipped for a large family. Everything we needed was there for our use.
The two fridges provided ample space for food and beverage storage!
The rental company send numerous emails that kept me informed on the cabin, amenities, directions, and area attractions.
I believe we will be rebooking for next year!

Bear The View
We absolutely loved this cabin. The terrace over looking the breath taking view cannot be beat. There is a tree on the right side that blocks the sunset in the summer that i wish was not there but otherwise the view is incredible. The grounds are amazing. We used the fire pit every night. The kitchen was not cleaned well and the dishwasher was full upon arrival but Luckily we brought our own things. The water pressure was terrible but at least we didn't run out of hot water. The family room was great. We absolutely loved this house. !!!!

Beautiful view and neat house, but…
This was a wonderful vacation. The view from the house was amazing, the yard was spacious and the house was big. The hot tub was relaxing, and the fire place was very cozy. This place was very good and the owners put a lot of work into making this place a wonderful house to stay in. The issue is that the house still needs a serious deep clean: we found gum drops under furniture, marks on bath and shower floors and plenty of dust throughout (inside cabinets, on shelves, the kitchen stuff…). Because the house was not cleaned, there were mice! We saw one scurrying across the downstairs bathroom floor and their noise kept us awake at times. We found mice droppings on the bed! They NEED to take care of the mice problem! (and a deep clean throughout and new paint job inside)

Rouge trip
Bear the View was located with an absolutely beautiful view but the sub standard housekeeping took away from the pleasures of enjoying your home.
Walls are a mess along with Windows and baseboards. Downstairs bathroom smelled so bad we could not use it. Showers and bathtubs all needed sanitizing and scrubbing. Deck needs painting. You also need to maintain the fire pit and grill. The home in general needs updating and a standard of cleaning. I am sending a photo of main shower for your reference. This is during Covid!
We have rented with Carolina Cabins several times. This is our first negative review. Who likes to be negative? Certainly not us! But we felt that you needed to be aware.
So sorry.

Great unique stay
Great spring break stay considering activities in the area closed down due to the conditions around the world. Perhaps everyone is hypersensitive about cleanliness but the families agreed it would have been an easy 5 star rating with an extra wipe down.

Absolutely perfect !
Bear the View is amazing ! We had our family holiday get- together there - 16 people ! Eight grandchildren under the age of 13 and they had a blast !!! The house was decorated beautifully including a gorgeous Christmas tree !! We loved cooking in the kitchen and the large dining table seated 16 and made meal time so special. The kids and adults enjoyed the pool table and the hot tub! Plus the view out the many windows was gorgeous !!! So happy we rented this lovely home. Hope to go again in the future. Best memories made!!!

4 Stars
The view and the house was amazing. Only thing that is preventing me from giving a five star review is the kitchen. The pots and pans were scattered in different cabinets and the layout made everything hard to find. All that said, our group loved the place and would love to return for another vacation!

The house was exceptionally clean. Having so many starter soaps, toilet tissue, paper towels and dishwasher soaps was a nice surprise. The kitchen had many nice appliances, dishes and cookware. We had maintenance come to check on outdoor gas fire pit that we could not start. It was not in working order therefore the 4 rating. He was so helpful and even gave us advice on our upcoming tubing outing. We were so pleased with our vacation. Beautiful home and view. Thanks!!

We arrived 7/14 about 5 p
We arrived 7/14 about 5 p.m. to the cabin reeking of gas. We opened all of the window and turned on fans. A grandson discovered that the gas stove knob was on and turned it off. We stayed outside because of the odor and I called the office to report. A gas man, Ernie, came out and determined, after checking all gas powered things in the house and running a system check, that it was the stove. After he assured us all was okay, we were able to unload and "move in". The only other two things that were a bit annoying were the lack of bath towels and wash cloths in the King room and the bottom floor bathroom filled with cobwebs (granted that could have happened overnight before we arrived). I appreciated that Carolina Rentals checked back with us, sent another gas company out and one of their own the next day. After that first day and a half it was super. The cabin was perfect for our group of eleven. The pool table and hot tub were hits. We especially loved sitting on the deck after daytimes of off-property exploring and adventures. S'mores at the fire pit were at hit!. Youngest granddaughter (12) fell in love with the tree swing. All in all, we would recommend and come back!

Wow
We knew that the home was going to be amazing based on pictures seen beforehand, but until you get their and take it all in ... the drive up to the home, the interior and the views from the porch ... we were all just awestruck. Couldn't have chose a better place to stay for our family reunion. We were even able to see many fireworks from the porch on the 4th of July. Our Grandparents (and many extended relatives) are originally from the Boone area and that is what brought us here. One day we needed propane for the grill and the property management team took care of that immediately. Carolina Cabins Bear the View exceeding our expectations. Thank you for opening your home and allowing us to make many memories there.

Bear the View
Excellent cabin with best views of the mountain on well appointed deck. We cooked in kitchen every night and ate at the very large dining room table. Our entire family of 14 fit at the table. We had a great time and would come back again.

Amazing property!
We had a wonderful time at this property. The house is incredible. So much room, beautifully decorated, and attention to detail. We loved the wooden barn style doors and wood floors. We had 14 people (ages 12-79). Everyone was comfortable, able to spread out, enjoyed the game room and hot tub. We played games and did puzzles. Many large flat screen TVs in all bedrooms and main living spaces although most of us didn't even watch. Lots to entertain us inside the house. We loved the large dining room table that we could gather around for family meals. Unfortunately, the weather was horrible. About 8 inches of rain fell, flooding and the fog was so thick that we couldn't see the gorgeous view, use the fire pit, or sit on the deck. The drive up and down the mountain is long, winding, and steep but we got comfortable with it. It was especially scary with the weather conditions. However, this would not prevent us from renting this property again. We all loved it and the weather was unusual. Once you come down the mountain (takes about 10-15 minutes), you are very close to grocery stores, restaurants, etc. The neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful. We never saw anyone else even though there were a few houses. I highly recommend this for large gatherings. The property company was great to deal with. We had planned on bringing our dogs but decided last minute to leave them home. The rental company refunded our money immediately. Also, they were able to remotely unlock the door for us when the code didn't work. Very convenient. Would definitely love to come back on a sunny weekend!

May 2019 Family Reunion
My family of 10 adults and two children stayed at Bear The View for the 2nd year in a row for our family reunion. there was plenty of room for everyone. We enjoyed the great views from the deck, and the hiking trails and zip lining nearby. Bear The View is centrally located near all the main attractions, but in a world all it's own on top of Seven Devils Mountain. I highly recommend this rental to everyone.
