Did not order breakfast as we were in a self catering unit with everything we needed.

the rooms are very nice, the garden is exceptional and the breakfast outstanding! what a great accomodation. you need to use the car to get to the town but we stayed there also for relaxing - and therefore the garden with jacuzzi was perfect. the two ladies run this accomodation with heart and soul. thank you so much!
6.0 / 10.0
I liked that the hosts were helpful with special requests. They were happy to oblige with beach towels, umbrella and also very nice about preparing the jacuzzi for us whenever we needed it.
They were also very accommodating when we considered adding another group to ours, despite their own plans.
They also offered some suggestions as to where we could go sightseeing.
The individual patios were a nice, comfortable touch.
Hosts provided sanitising wipes and wash.
Rooms were clean and neat. Guidebook was helpful.
I liked Netflix in the rooms and reliable Wi-fi.
When we declined breakfast on the last day they offered to pack food for us, which was a very sweet gesture.
The hosts are smokers and the smell permeated our room. I was constantly trying to keep the door between our areas shut.
Building rubble in dining and parking areas.
No mirrors in the bedroom. One mirror in bathroom but no plug to use a hairdryer.
Guests asked to not use bath towels for the jacuzzi, but no other towels provided - many guests do not travel with towels!
Guests were told not to eat inside rooms but to use private patio instead. However, there is no light outside so we couldn't spend time or eat outside at night without using our phones for light.
We felt a lack of privacy as hosts, gardeners and other staff would move back and forth past our rooms whilst tending to the jacuzzi and garden and often talk with us as we were trying to nap (often with sliding doors open due to heat).
An unusual rule at this B&B is that guests MUST vacate rooms at 10:30 in the morning for cleaning purposes.
My elderly father would have preferred to rest after breakfast; instead he had to wait outside the room. Other establishments leave this decision to guests, even during COVID.
BREAKFAST WAS OUR BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT.
a) Latest time to report for breakfast is 08:30. This is unreasonably early for people on holiday!
b) There is NO privacy for your group to talk. The hosts continuously circle the table, clearing crockery sometimes right from your hands, interrupting and rushing. This is why we declined breakfast on the last day.
c) For 4 people, we received ONE QUARTER jug of diluted, watery juice, one cereal, one small tea bowl of cheese. Filter coffee had to be ordered, not readily available.
d) This is NOT A GOURMET BREAKFAST. I was appalled at the lack of cooking skills and portions. ONE boiled egg with cheese sauce, ONE sausage and a lump of gherkins and lettuce in the corner for garnish? Gourmet does not translate to minute portions! One meal featured 1/2 rasher of hard bacon as garnish for what I assumed to be very dry french toast.
