Host was super - loved her spirit and kindness. Made us feel welcomed from the start. Excellent location to be able to walk into the walled city of Obidos. Terrace was wonderful to take some time out for rest and relaxation. Breakfast was excellent.
Not easy parking close by - there are parking spots, but we found it a little hectic to get one.

Queen Sarah greeted us with a smile of warm hospitality after a harrowing experience parking our rental car. She shared her delicious ginja with us in true Portuguese style as we soaked in the gorgeous view of Obidos and the surrounding neighborhood from her comfortable patio. The rooms were small as was expected, but comfortable and very accommodating. The mattress was great. Queen Sarah served us a delicious breakfast of orange juice, coffee, pastries and yogurt and granola before our departure.
I highly recommend this quaint inn right outside the wall entrance of Obidos.
Nothing.

Localização excelente, pertinho da entrada para a cidade murada. Quarto limpo, chuveiro ótimo, cama boa.
Acesso apenas por escadas, café da manhã bastante simples, sem frutas, ovos, apenas uma fatia de frios por pessoa.

Great location - close to the castle (But see note about parking).
Has a lovely outdoor bar with a great view.
Parking is a major challenge. I don't know if there was a special event taking place but it was very difficult to find parking nearby. The one-way road system further compounded the problem as one could only stop briefly outside the property to unload the suitcases and pick them up the next morning. The cobble road meant that you couldn't wheel the suitcases very far for fear that the wheels would fall off. Not sure what the solution is to this problem.

location is perfect- patio spectacular, sara was wonderful and loved the traditional Portuguese architecture and materials PLUS fabulous shower!! best coffee in Portugal- Sara, how was the coffee prepared ? breakfast very good-
we asked for upstairs room as we are sensitive to noise from other guests- it worked well:)

The hotel is in the old town, so if you arrive by car, be aware that the streets are narrow and parking is a "fun" challenge (just like everywhere else in Portugal in the old town). The hotel staff kindly shared their "parking secrets", and we successfully parked our rather large car in a public space. Settling in was pleasant as we were assisted everywhere. The style of the room reflects the city's vintage spirit. We were surprised by the hospitality of the staff. The hotel has a lovely terrace, which is not only pleasant to relax in the evening, but I would suggest you go there early in the morning, as soon as the sun rises, to enjoy the awakening surroundings.
What I want to share here is not what I didn't like, but what is worth knowing when choosing this hotel. We stayed in a room with stairs, i.e. no elevator. If you have big suitcases, it can be difficult to carry them. Also, the room windows open quite low, facing the street, where it can be noisy when cars or groups of people pass by.

Sarah, the host was wonderful. The shared Terrace was beautiful and the views from it were as well.

A Lovely lady at breakfast who loved to chat! Thank you.
Welcome liquor on arrival
Fabulous terrace with an exceptional variety of benches, seats and really comfortable chairs.
The owners have made a half-hearted attempt at modernising the showeroom, the result is poor. The bedroom looked very tired and basic and for the first time [I travel extensively] I ran my finger along the ledges by my pillow, light switches etc. Very old dust formed by previous occupants' skin [see photos]. The room had not been cleaned for years and the Tourismo de Portugal sign "Clean and Safe" needs to be removed as it is not appropriate until the whole place is cleaned.
Very noisy with children from within the property screaming and shouting and I think residents.
I have never complained about pillows and beds before! If you like hard pillows and mattresses, you are in for a treat! VERY hard and uncomfortable!
The place is hard to find and the Booking.com locator does not help! But do not go inside the walls, it is outside. It took me ages! Look for the excellent Terrace.

Nice staff! Vera gave a great clear introduction upon our arrival (thank you too for the welcome drink of ginja), and the lady who served breakfast next morning was really friendly too
Room and bathroom were somewhat small (this was the smallest room out of the 4 we booked in our 7-day Portugal trip, but maybe rooms in Obidos are generally all smallish?). But still enough space to open our two big luggages

Breakfast was excellent for quality and selections. Perfect location into the city. Parking was a bit difficult.
Spouse says her pillow was lumpy. Flies in the room. The combo soap dispenser in the shower.

Great location just outside the walls of the castle. Parking is very difficult. Nice owner who was very friendly, helpful and considerate.
Always book a double bed because you get a bigger room. It was our fault as we requested single beds and the room was very very small. Not the owners fault I assumed that all the rooms were all the same size!

The location just outside the city walls and adjacent to the gate is perfect for exploring Óbidos. The large terrace with an amazing view is the best in town. Plus the super-caring staff. Sara was extremely kind and helpful, always asking if there was anything else we needed. She even did our laundry at no extra charge! We will be back for sure.

The location is phenomenal. Right next to the entrance to the wall. The staff was so friendly. Breakfast was really good considering the covid situation. The hotel itself is really cute and has great views with a terrace that can be used by the guests. I would definitely come back here.
