Da fällt mir nichts ein.

Everything! 🥰
The house is amazing, lovely architecture!
Everyone was helpful and polite, we felt very welcome!
Breakfast is delicious and sufficient, and the living area invites to stay after breakfast. We didn't have time to try the sauna, but we will next time!
We will be back!!!
The shower drain was completely clogged and could not be repaired during the time of our stay (water running out of the shower after 2-3 minutes).

We loved our stay with our 2 kids... Cavalo de Madeira is a super comfortable and sustainable place to pass a great time. Really near the Lagoa de Óbidos with a super empathetic staff and a great breakfast :) with the bonus of having some cosy nice place that the kids can play ;)
For us everything was perfect.

I would like to thank Jeva and all Cavalo de Madeira staff for making this place unique and exceptional!
The property is perfectly designed, artistic, cosy and minimalistic. The high ceilings, indoor plants, spacious common area.. There is a biological swimming pool- (they do not use any harmful chemicals) If you would like to – there is a BBQ place in the garden!
We stayed at the studio, it was more than enough for myself and my husband. If you have kids, there are beds for kids on the upstairs of the studio. Very clean and perfectly designed place. There is also a very big and peaceful balcony in the studio which we enjoyed a lot.
(If you stay in the main building, there is a common kitchen which is also fully equipped, where you can cook together with other guests and enjoy gathering together)
Couple of things that I would like to mention:
- It was so far the most well equipped and clean kitchen that I have ever seen throughout my travels. We stayed for 2 nights but if we would stay longer, we could cook almost anything in that kitchen comfortably. Bathroom and towels were very clean as well.
-Jeva herself welcomed us when we checked in, unlike other places where they immediately do check in and all the administrative stuff, she welcomed us from the parking area, showed us around, explained what the property offer’s during our stay, where to visit, restaurant lists and so on, which was really nice!
-I believe that, in the service and hospitality business; the most lacking part is providing food for the guests with allergies & intolerances.(due to lack of knowledge)
Jeva has the knowledge to navigate the guests who has special needs due to their intolerances or allergies. As someone who has food intolerances, I cannot tell you how important and relieving to have someone who can understand you! All team was informed about my personal food intolerances as a guest, and guided me with the breakfast selections. Thank you!
Everything was great

We had a wonderful time staying at this property. It was the most comfortable room we stayed in and it had wonderful accomodations as well as drinks for purchase on the property, which was very convenient. The breakfast was delicious and much fresher than elsewhere.

Surprising modern design of our room (partly with cork) and huge common room to sit relaxed in chairs and enjoy the view. And a perfect pool.
In our room, we only had one nice armchair, my partner had to use a stool or the bed. Fortunately there was a beautifull common room, which was almost private.

The accommodation was in a small village, in a good location with views over the lagoon and sea. The main hotel was beautifully designed, with good choice of materials and sensitive architecture. There was plenty of parking, sheltered under the grapevines. The vegetarian breakfast was self-service, with fresh squeezed orange and peach smoothie, fresh coffee and eggs (boiled or scrambled) to order and different types of bread. We stayed in the studio, which was perfect for 2 adults and 2 older children, with good kitchen facilities, coffee machine, and plenty of crockery. Use of the natural pond, BBQ, seating area and table tennis. We also loved the friendly cats. We hired high quality bikes (electric bikes also available) and cycled the whole of the lagoon to the ocean.
No it was perfect. I wished we could have stayed longer. We didn't find any nearby restaurants, but there were plenty of supermarkets about 10 minutes drive away.

Spacious room with a nice view over the lagoon of Obidos. Everything is clean and furnished with an eye for detail. Especially the large common area, with sofas, dining tables, kitchen, big garden, terrace and pool is amazing. The breakfast is delicious, too.
It's a bit off, but we liked it just because of that.

Gracious staff, beautiful and welcoming home, clean and comfortable facilities. The place has an artistic, and ecologically friendly ambience. Could not have enjoyed more.

Delightful staff and beautiful facilities. Great location for some peace and quiet. Great breakfast.
We booked for three adults but they thought we booked for 2 adults and a child so our daughter had to climp up a ladder to get to her bed which was in a small loft area. Not easy to climb down in the middle of the night to use the bathroom.

A lovely guesthouse that is stylish without feeling too posh. The room was cosy and the view of the lagoon incredible, breakfast was tasty and we liked the garden although we did not have time to use the sauna and swimming pool. Had a very nice stay overall and will definitely come back.

The building is a beautifully done conversion of what I can assume being an old olive oil 'lagar' and it is a joy to explore. The owners have done it with a sustainable mentality and touch. It's great.
Another point to mention would be the staff, they are super friendly, approachable and non intrusive.
There are areas for children to play, a great library and a projector.
Sadly we weren't able to make the most of the natural pool as it was a bit cold but it looked amazing.
If you are driving there, go around the property and on the back there is a small parking area (took me a while but got there in the end).
Better movie selection please, we can't all speak German and it would be great to have some children-friendly options (saying that, bring your DVDs if that's your jam) ;)

Bruno and Marta were really pleasant in every interaction. Breakfast was superb, room (studio) was spacious with a balcony with a great view to the lagoon (bring your monocle). Pool was original and great for meditation and relaxation. The common areas were also a good surprise. To not miss the walk to the lagoon.
Well, just the bed. A bit too soft for our taste. Ok for one night but becomes a bit unpleasant for longer stays. Not else to add, really.

The house itself is a work of art, beautifully designed and full of interesting pieces. We only stayed for one night so we didn't have time to use the pool or sauna, but we wish we could've stayed longer to enjoy all of the amenities. Breakfast was simple and incredibly delicious, and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay safe and special.
The parking spots are a little tight, so we were glad we had a small car. Also wish we could've walked to nearby restaurants, but it seemed like most places were just a short drive away. If we had stayed longer, we probably would've cooked at the guesthouse one night; it had a great setup to grill and eat outdoors.
