If you want to be away from the hustle and bustle of life this is your spot super nice beaches which we enjoyed by ourselves. The road is is quite rough but go slow and take your time it’s no problem staff was great however we had a language issue ( English to DR). The pool was perfect for hanging out in the evenings. We hiked to Las Galares and enjoyed the locals and found some hidden gems (Raquel’s beach bar and a pizzeria on the main street right side facing the ocean)

DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE!!!!! The only reason they got a star from me is because I can't provide a review without giving a star!!
The pictures are very old and are not what they seem when you arrive at this property. For starters, the getting to this place you would need an off-road vehicle. The roads are undone and extremely tight, not to mention dangerous. There are NO lights on this road and if you arrive at sunset like we did, adds to the terrifying experience.
Once we finally arrived, the host was a no show. Instead, the ground keepers greeted us and immediately left, leaving us to try to figure out our way around the premises. Once the dust settled, I came to the realization that we are in the middle of nowhere, and there is no place to buy any kind of food or snacks. There is not a supermarket, mini market, store, restaurant, in sight. Now the issues with the property.
-Just about all the windows are missing the screen, being in a tropical and wooded place the insects that kept sneaking in was unbelievable. My son was bitten by who knows what on his arms.
-The doors wouldn't properly lock! My husband and I couldn't sleep with fear that the doors couldn't lock and the surroundings being pitch black of what could possibly happen.
-The bathroom in my kids' room overflooded. As you can imagine the mess and health conditions this exposed.
-The so-called night security guard was not in sight
-The furniture and appliances are very old
-The rooms wouldn't stay cool because the windows are not properly secured and can't close
-The water in the pool was murky
- There was su
pposed to have a chef which never came
I can keep on and on. We left the next day and found another place to stay. Couldn't expose my family to these conditions!!! Don't get catfished like I did!!

This place is amazing, suitable for a quiet holiday as it is very private, or for those who like a more active holiday, because there is really something to do here. You can spend time in the villa, or on the private beaches which are just a few steps from the villa, or you can explore the area, go on a hike where you will discover wonderful uninhabited beaches. You can walk to the beautiful beach of Playa Rincon, and it is only 15-20 minutes from the villa. You can also go to El limon waterfall by car, see Loca Boca Del Diablo, take a walk in the beautiful town of Samana, visit the small local villages where you can buy fresh fish, fresh local fruit and vegetables, and see how the locals live. And there is more to see and to do, this place is truly amazing.
The villa may need renovation, but it didn't cause us any inconvenience, we had everything we needed - clean rooms, separate bathrooms, large kitchen and everything you need in the house. An outdoor large pool is definitely an advantage. The view you see when you enter the balcony pays off. Do I recommend this villa? Definitely yes, 100%. This is where you want to return.

The house is a great property, however, it does need to be updated! Location is great, the views are amazing, great for big groups, lovely beach although the waves were rough this time of the year.
The kitchen needs to be updated along with utensils. The staff is great, specially Moreno. The pool is very good too but be careful if you have kids that can’t swim as it’s very deep and not much room to walk around as soon as you get in.

We had a very busy 6 weeks or so - European travel to see my son over US Thanksgiving while he was studying abroad, Christmas, my oldest son's destination wedding on January 4th and all of the projects that came with that event. We knew we needed some time away after all the festivities and searched for a property that would offer total privacy. We had a few items on our "must haves" list - the sound of the ocean waves while we slept, a view of the water, a private pool. This house checked all of those boxes for us. (the view is unfortunately somewhat blocked by overgrown vegetation that doesn't show in the online pics that must be quite old)
There is a housekeeper that comes daily, a groundskeeper that is around and a night watchman each evening. We opted to give the housekeeper the time off - we were only there 4 days and did not want anyone underfoot while we enjoyed our time together. The groundskeeper was around, but out of the way mostly. He did handle a hot water issue as well as a toilet that would not flush, so happy he was close enough to take care of those small inconveniences. The nightwatchman was around, we saw him once or twice, but he too was not underfoot, and offered a sense of security since we slept with the doors and windows open each night.
Getting to the house was our only negative. We flew into Santo Domingo and the drive is 3.5 hours or so. We REALLY needed a stop at a more American-style grocery, but did not have the time to do that. Ended up going to a grocery in Samana that was the best option, but did not offer the array of food items we had hoped to find. The drive was somewhat perilous as road markings in the area must be a suggestion only - drivers on motorcycles, scooters, mopeds and even large trucks were erratic! Definitely made for an adventure. The last 3 miles or so really would have been better served with a 4 wheel drive vehicle. But the property and private beaches were well worth the effort.
Suggestion: use bottled water for literally everything, including brushing your teeth. My boyfriend got traveler's diarrhea from brushing his teeth with tap water. That made for a really long travel day home.
Overall we had a great time and would like to take friends back to enjoy the place. But we will definitely find a decent grocery before making the drive north. Note: The staff can and will help stock the pantry beforehand - we just didn't know what we wanted til we arrived.
Have fun!

Over the past years, we have always tried to take my vacation in both relaxing and exotic places. However, never have we been so blown away by such a beautiful scenery.
Before we arrived, the owner kindly recommended us different excursions to do during our stay. We had a boat come to the beach of the Villa one day to bring us on an excursion to visit the coast of the island -breathtaking. Another day, we took a boat to visit mangroves.
Whenever we decided to spend the day at the villa, were the only ones on the beach, and got to enjoy its peacefulness.
Moreover, if we left for daily excursions, we always came back at sunset and got to sit by the pool. If we needed any assistance, two domestics were there to help us. The owner also often called to make sure everything went ok, something we really appreciated.
One thing I would recommend though is having a car to travel around. For the rest, we loved being isolated from the city, and hearing the calming noise of the ocean before going to bed. The Villa itself was beautiful, and always very clean.
Thank you so much for giving us the opportunity to experience paradise ! This was a trip we will never forget.

The property is beautiful! Con: remote, difficult to obtain groceries if you plan to cook yourself and you do not have a rental car available to you. Pro: The Chef is excellent. Con: Would be helpful if the Chef had menu suggestions available for the guests to choose from in that DR cooking uses different types of foods and it is hard to know what is available. The kitchen needs updates for cookware and appliances. Unless one knows Spanish, it is difficult to converse with the help. I used Google translation which helped to overcome, but again unless you are familiar with DR cooking it may be confusing. Lobster and Shrimp were either not available or very expensive. Con: The rodents: bats, spiders, rats, cockroaches, lizards should be expected as they are a natural part of the country. Pro: The house is clean and the help at the house are wonderful. All in all, an adventure and an experience of a lifetime:)

There were 8 people in our party and we all had a very good experience.
The house was a good size for are family. We especially appreciated Carla and Diogenes. They were so helpful and kind. We never felt they were an intrusion. The night guard, Noel made us feel very safe as well as Jeffery who accompanied us on our hike and ATV adventure. The pool was really nice. Carla cooked for us every night but one plus made delicious corn cakes, fried bananas, and delicious pina coladas and passion juice. The beach was close and beautiful. Our teenage children loved riding the waves. We played lots of games together and it was wonderful to not have TV or internet access. A lot of bonding time and relaxing time for are family who live busy lives in the states. Our only negative is the long ride from the airport. It was also nice being so secluded from a lot of tourist and very little chance to shop. We chose not to rent a car which limited our activities, but that also gave us the opportunity to truly relax and grow closer. A wonderful trip!!

What a wonderful holiday! The house, while a little off the beaten path, was beautiful. Extremely well kept and a true villa. Three large bedrooms upstairs, each with its own bathroom, plus another en-suite bedroom on the first floor allowed all of our guests privacy, and convenience for our older guest who has trouble with stairs. Most exciting was the private beach just steps from the house. We listened to the waves crashing at night and woke to views of the water and hills. The house staff couldn’t have been more helpful. We got in very late in the evening and Diogenes was waiting to guide us to the house. We also arranged for dinner to be prepared for most of our stay - it was well worth it!
Two recommendations: Definitely rent an SUV - most the roads around the house are dirt and rocky so you’ll need it! And don’t forget your bug spray. The windows do not have screens, which we didn’t mind, but you’ll wake up to chewed legs if you don’t spray before bed!
Thank you, Vincent, for making this marvelous house available to vacationers. It was truly a paradise.

Holiday Paradise
This is quite simply the most beautiful place imaginable. The villa is set in a very private location next to two stunning semi private beaches. We rarely saw another person on either beach. The villa is spacious, well kept with stunning views. It is very well equiped and keeps cool even in summer so we didnt need the airconditioning. The staff, Diogenes, Dulis and Noen were friendly and extremely helpful but unobtrusive. The pool is large. deep, warm and well kept..We had no problem with mosquitos or other unwelcome insects. Although off the beaten track the road is not too bad, an SUV is helpful but a 4x4 not essential. It is still easy to go out for dinner and to visit the rest of the penisula with its many beautiful beaches.towns and waterfalls.
The Dominicans are extremely friendly warm people who made us feel very welcome. We were humbled by their generosity..
We have travelled extensively and will definitely return to this peaceful haven.

This is a great location for a group of people who want a great place to meet. The beach was too rough for swimming but we were able to go to nearby beaches to swim and the pool is wonderful. At night we would turn off all the lights and lie on the chairs to watch the stars. There are not many places you can do that anymore. We even saw fireflies which I have not seen since childhood. We went to sleep every night with our windows open and the sound of the surf lulling us to sleep! The night watchman was there all night to keep a good eye on the area as we slept. So relaxing!
The house is well set up for cooking and relaxing and the staff are great.
The road in is rough, but with careful driving we were able to manage and got quite good at driving it. We took great day trips to the local towns and beaches and happily came home every night to our wonderful house.

Villa Bahai Rincon - absolutely superb, a privilege to stay in such an amazing place!
We had a fantastic time staying at Villa Bahai Rincon!!
The setting is remote, but stunningly beautiful, a tropical paradise! The white sandy beaches, lined with coconut palms are spectacular and only accessible from the villa or by boat. The villa sits in very well kept tropical gardens with views out to the beach and bay beyond. The villa is large, beautiful colonial style and very well managed. We were very comfortable. The pool is excellent, large, very clean and very refreshing.
Samana is fascinating, never a dull moment...., but always friendly. I'd recommend the zip wire, boat trips, the waterfall and some of the local beach front or hill top restaurants are fantastic. There is a great beachfront restaurant a short walk from the villa. If you like horse riding or quad bikes, there are plenty of opportunities.
Hiring a good SUV is essential, driving is an interesting experience, you won't get to the best places in an ordinary car. Also Spanish is useful, there is very little English spoken, although we got by none.
To sum up, we had a wonderful time sampling life in Dominican Republic, with a few adventures along the way and staying in a breath-taking location. We would go back in a heartbeat!! Fab!!

Great villa by the ocean
We spent there one week with our family. The house is ideal for 6-8 persons and it was slightly too big for the three of us (but of course it did not bother us). The location is just perfect. Right on a secluded beach. There is a very nice private swimming pool right on the terrace overlooking the ocean. Although there are some other houses in this guarded area you have an impression being completely lost on (luxury) island.
The property is very well maintained. It's 20 minutes to the nearest decent shop on a bumpy road, but we were very well informed by the owner about the infrastructure around. We really would like to come back there again and definitely recommend it to our friends.
4.7
The property is lovely, right on the beach
Really lovely house, right on the beach, secluded location, 3 other houses on the property, the gardens all around the house are well maintained, the pool and pool area are also well maintained - pool chlorine level was low - I prefer a saline pool so was wary of a chlorine pool and had no problem swimming in this pool , each bedroom with it's own bath, nice living room area and great kitchen. At night the sound of the surf is right there, the rain on the roof - if it rains - is magical.
If you are looking for a totally secluded get away to write a book, decompress, reconnect with the missed sleep/a book you want to read/sun/sand/surf, this was a lovely getaway for us. The water is a lovely blue/light green and bathtub warm. The body surfing was great. If you plan to come here staying at the pool on the property is the best way to go; there are not beach chairs if you want to stay at the beach all day.
If you want to go away from the house and go to a restaurant or coffee shop this is not that place, but you can rent boats and guides to take you to these places.
We opted to have a chef prepare local cuisine, and it is well worth it, while we were there the locals who fish from the beach area/surrounding waters showed us a lobster and inquired if we wanted to purchase it, not being spanish speakers I said "Pasquala" our chef's name, and the following evening that lobster was on the BBQ for us.
The internet is intermittent, so be prepared to not stress over it.
There are 2 international airports, we were advised to come into Santa Domingo - its a 3 + hour drive to the house. The roads in DR are great. The final driveway down to the house is not paved so is a 20 minute drive. Renting a car worked just fine, we did a combination of renting a car for some of us and taking the car transport recommended by the owner for others ($210 1 way for up to 12 passengers)
The owner, Vincent, is very responsive. The staff at the house are interested in making sure your stay is as you would expect, they do not speak any other language than
Spanish, so we did spend sometime with Google translate.
Enjoy this lovely slice of paradise

A unique and wonderful vacation!
We just returned from a week long stay at Villa Bahia Rincon. Our great experiences began even before we booked the trip, thanks to the owner's responsiveness to our inquiries. Vincent kindly arranged for our auto rentals (SUVs are a must) and for dinners prepared by Pasquala. Our group of 8 (four couples) arrived late due to delays flying out of JFK but once again Vincent arranged for Diogenes to meet us on the road into the villa, and dinner was waiting when we arrived.
We loved everything about the property -- right on the beautiful Playa Colorado beach. We saw very few people on the beach during our stay, but we happily purchased fish and lobster from local fishermen. The beaches are absolutely beautiful and pristine.
The villa is an open-air design on both levels, so guests should expect that some bugs will find their way in but the bedrooms feature netting over the beds, and we didn't consider this a problem.
We spent most of our time on the beach or around the pool. The staff are very warm and dedicated local people. Diogenes was very helpful and patient with our limited Spanish, and brought us a few items we requested on his motorbike. He and Dulis kept the house very clean and orderly during our stay.
We recommend the Lindo supermarket in Las Terrenas, and lunch on the beach in Las Galeras.
It's a bit of a hike to get to Villa Bahia Rincon, but it is absolutely worth the effort. We recommend it to anyone seeking an off-the-beaten-track Caribbean villa vacation.

Trip of a lifetime!!!!!
I've been waiting to vacation here and add my review to the others! This was a family trip of a lifetime. My wife and I and our 5 children (oldest age 13) traveled here for a family vacation. Everything was not just as expected and described here, but BETTER! I have never seen such an incredible, natural paradise. We visited Playa Rincon and spent some time before returning to our "private" beach which is unparalleled. Dulis and Diogenes are gems and couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating. Winter time was very pleasant with the temperature and no need for air conditioning. We found the last bit of the drive very interesting and had a van but was no problem. The local cuisine was prepared one night and we found our children eating 2 and 3 helping of Pasquala's dinner! I didn't realize that the homes along this area are actually behind a guard gate and that we would have a night watchman. Security was never a question or issue. There are some local farmers that pass through and I had left some sandals on the beach that mysteriously disappeared but can only blame myself for that. That loss was the only issue that came up and didn't disrupt any of the enjoyment. I could only wish to be able to visit this location again!

villa Bahia rincon
Our week at this villa was one of the best of our lives. We wanted private and secluded, and that's exactly what we got. Gorgeous beach, we had it to ourselves all week. The home is beautiful and the staff are so accommodating. Dulis is a great cook and we enjoyed eating local traditional foods! Diogenes took care of everything for us, and he does such a great job with the flowers, they were absolutely beautiful this time of year. We hiked to playa Rincon one day which was really fun, but the private beach at the villa was our favorite. The owner was easy to work with and answered my many questions quickly and accurately! Looking forward to our next visit.

Exceptional Location and House
The house is comfortable, spacious, and well-appointed, and the staff were attentive to just the right extent. But the real draw is the location. Playa Colorado is a perfect beach and we regularly had it to ourselves. In fact we saw more horses than people in four days at the villa. If you're looking to get away from things this place is ideal and well worth the somewhat adventurous drive. Excursions to the other beaches in the area (Rincon, Fronton), and fresh seafood, were facilitated by the concierge with no hassle. Living in Santo Domingo, we have covered a lot of ground in this country, and definitely intend to go back here.
Enjoy.

Beautiful house, great views..!
We spent 7 days at Villa Bahia Rincon and really enjoyed our vacation! It was really a dream to be here ... the villa is marvellous.
Odalis and Diogenes have been the nicest staff: They gave us lots of advice and we felt very welcome and secured from the first day of our stay until the moment we had to say "good bye". The villa is furnished in a very tasteful, stylish and cosy way and the views from the swimming pool and balconies are absolutly stunning! Villa Bahia Rincon is the perfect place to relax, spend time on the beach, explore the peninsula and get away from stressful everyday life. Simply wonderful!

An ideal place for a family vacation
We have just spent an ideal week at "Villa Bahia Rincon". We had arrived with our two children and Diogenes welcomed us the first evening. Diogenes is the Butler who accomodated us and gave us the first explanations for using the villa properly. We discovered the perfectly equipped vast rooms. The following morning, we were totally flabbergasted when, on opening the windows, we were able to enjoy the view on the sea and could lay our first steps on this extraordinary virgin nature leading to a succession of little wild beaches right in front of us. We then understood why we had proceeded (after some efforts, i must say!) to this magical place.
The rest of our stay was a pure dream: The villa is extremely pleasant and convenient, and the staff is gentle and discreet. We spent our time bathing in a warm sea ona "virginal" beach or around the beautiful swimming pool, reading a good book and sunbathing. We also enjoyed walking particularly along the coast as far as the famous Playa Rincon. We also appreciated the boat trip to Playa Fronton and the pic-nic on the beach. We felt protected by Yuni, the night watchman who was in charge of the house security together with Diogenes ans Odalys, the maid, who where working during the day.
A few recommendations must be given to the future travellers. The last miles leading to the villa are quite difficult, that's why it's better to rent a SUV (4-wheel drive). Most necessities are to be bought in Samana or at Las Terrenas. Yet, shopping can also be done at Las Galeras' grocery. For fruits and vegetables, ask Diogenes and fresh fish will be directly proposed to you by some fisherman at the villa for a barbecue (how tasty these fresh lobsters!!!). Don't forget a few films, DVDs, games...or you might feel quite far from the village in the evening, although you'll have the opportunity to go to the restaurant in Las Galeras, once or twice.
We really enjoyed our holidays at "Villa Bahia Rincon" and will certainly recommend it to our friends for their holidays.

BEAUTIFUL BUT NOT QUITE AS DESCRIBED!
My husband & I rented this villa for a week as an anniversary present for his parents, & were overall shocked & extremely disapointed. The house, the pool & the beaches are just as beautiful as the pictures on this site. The house attendants both, Odalys & Diogenes are very nice & welcoming. Odalys does an exceptional job!
However, The ad was decieving. we were not told that this house is located at the bottom of a precipice. We rented an SUV & every time we had to travel the 30 minute trip just to get out of the ugly dirt road & into the main road, we worried that the suv might not make it. There are huge pot holes & protruding rocks on the roads. I was embarrased to bring my in-laws to this part of the country, they had never been to D.R. & were looking forward to a week in paradise.
If you are considering renting this Villa, you should be aware of a few things:
Yes, it is lovely, the beaches are Gorgeous, the service is wonderful.
However:
-There is no air conditioning, you can pay an extra daily fee per room to have air conditioners on two bedrooms only.
-The house doesn't have screens on the windows, so bugs fly in all day & night (we have the mosquito welts to prove it)
-The refrigerator doesn't really work, everything melts in the freezer & nothing stays cool in the fridge.
-The water cooler doesn't keep the water cold, & you are only provided with 2 (5 gal) bottles of water & you have to buy more if you need it.
-You are only provided with 1 roll of toilet paper per bathroom, you have to buy more if you need it.
-There aren't any alarm clocks in the place & cell phones don't really work because of lack of signals, so their alarms aren't relible.
-No paper towels were provided
-The house phone is not reliable & the house cell phone comes at an extra cost + extra calling cards as needed.
-No sofabed, our first night there my husband & I found a nasty wasp nest on one of the pillows on our bed (these wasps build nests in less thn 24 hours every where in the house) we tried to find the sofabed because I didn't want to sleep in the room, but there wasn't one to be found, what we did find was a ton of bugs that flew in through the unscreened window shutters.
-Internet access is spotty, you have to bring your own laptop and pay a weekly fee to get a usb key that barely works.
-No beach chairs (even though the ad says 8)
We are not High Maintance people, but a little comfort would have been nice. I'm truly disappointed!

The Beautiful Bahia Rincon
