The house is located in a perfect location. The ocean right out the back door. Playa Coson is just around the corner and is a calm very quite tranquil beach and just a few minutes walk the other direction along the beach is Playa Bonita that has a few more waves and is fun for surfing and boggie boarding. Lots of good restaurants within walking distance on Playa Bonita.
The housekeeper Altagracia is great and was there everyday and cooked us several awesome Dominican Breakfasts.
The house is in pretty good shape the only issue we had was some mice and Cucharachas. A little exterminating service would take care of those issues.
Overall it was an awesome stay.

10 of us stayed at this house over Spring Break. The 2 hour drive from the airport was easy and the home is well worth the trip. Big pool and right on the ocean. Gorgeous sunrises and sunsets. A short walk from lots of quaint bars and restaurants. The house staff was wonderful and attentive. We had a amazing trip, would def go back. Brush up on your Spanish!

Our two families loved loved loved our stay at Villa Allegra! Being right there on the beach we had both the quietness of our own private secluded paradise and the proximity to our new favourite beach bar (el mosquito) at a 10 minute walk! Fantastic! We will go back for sure!!!

This property is one of the most beautiful places on earth. Everything in the photos represent everything you get. Being on the ocean having the luxury of this incredible home makes me wish you never had to leave. Altgracia watermelon is one of the most beautiful humans to live on this earth. She made our daily stay fantastic. Every morning with incredible breakfast in her love of the property really makes the stay at once in a lifetime opportunity. 10 minutes walk along the beach front brings you to about seven incredible resorts and restaurant/bars with great music island cocktails and surfing. Highly recommend this trip to anybody.

Usually I don’t write long reviews so I will do bullet points.
Safety: we walked 3 miles south and 2 miles north and felt safe at all times.
Location: your backyard is the Atlantic ocean, just priceless.
Place: clean, the hot water is hot and the ac is cold.
Service: we paid for Altagracia full services and she became family.
Summary:
we can’t wait to be back.

Waking up with the sound of the Ocean and the beach at the front door, this house was perfect for us , plenty of space and good amenities. Having the pool was great for my kids as I much rather take long walks on the beach and paddle board ( brought my inflatable one with me).
Restaurants , surf school are at a walking distance , you get to town in a 10mn drive and the airport of Samana is 30mn away. Everything was easy , we will be planning our next visit and I highly recommend this house if you are looking for peace , warmth and beauty , it’s perfection !

The photos don’t do it justice. Wonderful house, great location, fantastic time. What we loved most is it felt like a home, and not just a rental. If you want a beautiful place, on the beach, you can’t go wrong here. We will definitely be back.

What an amazing villa — the location, the view, the beach, the open kitchen connected to the pool area, and its vernacular architecture. Thinking of visiting again.

I want to say that the property is located in a very nice beach. You have coson beach to your left and playa Bonita to the right. The views from the house are amazing. You have a beautiful garden and then you have the ocean. The owner was very nice. At first I thought the hurricane Dorian was going to hit Samana, I contacted the owner about maybe canceling the reservation and he was completely understanding and was willing to refund me 100 percent even though at the time the hurricane was past Samana and nothing had happen. Altagracia the maid was very helpful and we hire her services for two of the three night we stayed.
Overall we had a great time at the property. I would have to point to a couple of things that in my opinion if they are fix would make this a perfect house.
1. The pool has an excellent size but unfortunately the blue paint is coming off. Our feet and back were always blue. Not sure what kind of paint was used so sometimes we were worry about our health but we had to enjoy our days there and could not see what could be done in three days to fix it while loosing the pool.
2. The beds are very uncomfortable and very hard to fall sleep. I believe the part below is concrete and then a mattress goes on top. The mattresses were very hard. This needs to be change right away. It was uncomfortable in all the rooms.
3. The windows are made of wood so when you close them they really don’t close completely so the air conditioner escapes very easy. On the smaller rooms this is not that bad BUT on the main room that is very big We never had a cold room.
4. Also you will have to pay for electricity on top of what you already pay for the rental. We pay 50 dollars for three days. We only had the ac working at night. For three night it was not bad but that is another expense you will incur together with hiring Altagracia to stay longer in your stay. It was about 40 dollars per night with both charges. Again not bad.
I do not want people to think this is a bad house. Is located in a great place and the house is good. The views are great and we had a good time.

The location on the Cap Bonita peninsula surrounded by some of the best beaches is hard to beat. There are restaurants and bars within walking distance, and the town is a short drive away. The house is looking a bit dated though, the lock up process with all the doors and windows is a bit cumbersome. The location and management of the villa was awesome, there was a small issue when we arrived and it was handled fast and efficient.

We were 7 people and there was more than enough room for us. The owners even supplied two airmattresses to supplement the 4 king size beds. All of the rooms in the main house and bungalows are open and airy. My favorite part of the day were the mornings and opening up all the doors and shutters to the ocean view. The grounds were as equally maintained as the living areas. Altagracia came to clean each day, but we did not ask her to cook because we already have a person we've come to rely on in Las Terrenas. Next year, we will use both! I've been told her morning coffee is scrumptious. We have visited Las Terrenas for many years and Villa Allegra is now our favorite spot. The support staff were friendly and helpful, and the owners gracious and welcoming. The house and grounds feel very private. To the right along the beachfront you will find small hotels, houses, surf schools and outdoor restaurants. To the left, you can walk for an hour or so along fairly empty beach until you get to Playa Coson where there are excellent waves for body or board surfing. (There are good ones to the right of the house too.) The age range for our group was 10 to 60, and all of us felt blissful everyday except for the last day when we had to leave. We loved every aspect of our stay at Villa Allegra. Las Terrenas is a very lively Dominican town that over the years has made an effort to accomodate tourists. Thankfully, it is still truly Dominican. You can rent scooters from various places and locals sell gas in many of the bodega type stalls. The local people tell me that Christmas and Easter are the busiest and most crowded times of the year, so if you're looking for a really laidback, few tourists - kind of vacation, try Villa Allegra February thru October!
