I loved the privacy I had in my own cottage and that I could tuck my feet up on the couch in front of a fire!!

Breakfast was delicious, and a very comfy bed. Lovely cheese platter and the added extras I paid for were done nicely. Overall it was lovely.
There was nothing I didn't like.

The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was spacious. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and I got to play with some adorable doggies.
The room was very hot. Which I know is NOT the fault of the establishment, but the addition of a freestanding or ceiling fan might improve things greatly.

We didn't like that the hot tub out of use and the wellness area is no longer available. I also didn't like that when I was double charged for the room the money was sent via eft but was not special cleared and I am still waiting on the funds to reflect.

not much to like.
The accomodation was clearly a poorly renovated out building. The bathroom was dingy, cramped and dirty. No hot water at the basin. Weeds were growing through the walls. The kitchen was poorly equipped, old and shabby. The beds were comfortable but too small for my tall frame,

Only good thing was the location and the fire place (BUT we had to buy our own wood, and they charged an extremely absorbent fee which looked like just off cuts)
Very falsely advertised - the pics are not current at all. Place is badly outdated and grubby. We do staycations often and because we are usually out & about we book inexpensive places (which have all been far superior to this). However, this time we thought we would treat ourselves - we wanted a romantic night away, and very much booked this place for the jacuzzi & heated pool. Firstly, jacuzzi was not operational and secondly the pool not heated and looked very unkept. We are easy people, but this was very below average and way over priced for what you get, places booked at half the rate have been extremely better than this place unfortunately. Cherry on the top was paying R300 for two double vodkas with appetizer and wood 🤷♀️ I don't understand the good reviews!

Nothing to like here.
The property seems to be old and not much taken care of. My apartment was dark, old stinking furniture and the whole apartment was smelling like rotten humidity. The bathroom was old, not renovated for years, broken tiles. In the living area the furniture was covered by sheets, maybe to cover the age.
I left although I was booked non-refundable as I could not stand the smell and they did not offer an alternative. I phoned with the host who was not at the place and told her that I leave. She wanted to check, but I never heard again, nor did she apologize for that experience....
