Kohtuullisen kaunis ja viihtyisä.
Huone oli siisti ja tilava. Ilmastointi toimi erinomaisesti. Rauhallinen sijainti.

No Earl Grey or Breakfast tea. Only 1 cup of coffee. No refill offered.
Breakfast itself was just adequate.
The dinner in the restaurant - such a shame as the previous year when we visited the lunch was excellent and the staff were so welcoming not so this year.

convenient location. the view of mountains
shower head spray above the rose. steel cupboard handle hitting the wall. bedside lamp switches not easy to find. 😉

The hospitality of the staff, the comfort of the rooms, spacious bathrooms and location. Personal check in with accommodation manner was most welcome. Michelle is great.
Breakfast choices were limited. Choices had to be made in advance. Was a little disappointing given the amazing restaurant menu.
Restaurant front of house staff seemed to be rushing always.

Lovely view, rooms are super clean and beautiful - Michelle is the most welcoming hostess!
4.3
nice and quiet rooms, we had a room with a fields view which was pretty.
the shower pressure was a bit weak. the restaurant at the vineyard provides dinner only on Fridays/ Saturdays, smth like that. so smth to bear in mind if you were relying on that like us. the rest was awesome.

We arrived in Stellenbosch in the late afternoon and were welcomed by the lovely hostess Michelle. She showed us around and was open to all kinds of questions. The rooms were very inviting and spacious, set in the middle of the vineyards. What you would hope for in a wine area and more. We had dinner in the loveliest of panoramic viewed restaurants. They catered to all of our dietary restrictions. Would definitely recommend! By the way: we have ordered the excellent wine to be shipped home!

The room was big and spacious. It had excellent views of the vineyard which is what we wanted. It was a little bit of a walk for breakfast to the main restaurant but pleasant and we did not mind.
Service and staff could have been better. They looked tired and disinterested at the restaurant. Also it was the same breakfast everyday. No change and no choice. The restaurant is supposed to be one of the best so the reviews say but I think the accomodation and restaurant are unrelated so we were told. Best to keep this as self cater or improve the food and timing at breakfast.

We stayed in the cottage in the vineyards, which was very lovely with good beds. The cottage is in a great location with a wonderful view from the large terrace; peaceful and quiet.
It would have been nice to get two sets of keys so our family could split up for the day more easily.

We stayed two nights in the self-catering cottage, it had a lovely veranda overlooking farmland and lake, both rooms were spacious and en-suite. Michelle is an excellent hostess, food and service at the restaurant is also excellent and the spa treatment was amazing. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to be back!

location is very good
old carpets, small room. bedding could be improved

nice view and big comfy and clean room. Hostess was very helpfull.
however:
1. they advertise a big pool on the pictures but you get a small dipping pool.
2. hotel accomodation and restaurant are seperate entities. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed for dinner. And this was not communicated online.
4. breakfast was not of high quality.
4.3
The presentation done by Michelle to familiarise us with the venue was excellent, that was a good welcoming and a very friendly person.
The staff at the breakfast, very friendly and accommodating including the gardener offering assistance with the luggage.
The pool was cold in the afternoon, perhaps in future they could think of a heated pool for the late afternoon.

Breakfast was okay...we ordered continental...unfortunately the yoghurt came with honey poured on top of it...I don’t like honey and my husband is diabetic...I did appreciate that they had bought Almond Milk for us ...(I had phoned the previous day and asked if the restaurant had almond milk)
As I have mentioned the honey poured on the yogurt. We were hoping to watch Netflix...the TV did not take a flash drive so we could not watch the TV that we liked.

nice and quiet setting

We enjoyed ourselves...room was lovely...the linen and bed was top quality!
We were a little disappointed that the TV did not have Netflix or a socket to take our Flash Drive! Breakfast coffee and tea was delicious although honey was poured on our yogurt, my husband is diabetic and I don't like honey...

The room was beautiful.
The picture above, at the swimming
pool doesn't look like the swimming pool where our room was. A bit misleading, I would say.
The breakfast and the view was exceptional.

beautiful setting.

Excellent location in close proximity to Stellenbosch and other main winelands attractions. The restaurant at Clos Malverne is excellent - supplemented by fantastic views of the winelands and surrounding mountains. The ice cream and wine pairing is certainly a first and highly recommended.
Suggest a consideration to reopen the restaurant during evenings as well (especially for guests staying over)

idyllic, peaceful location in the middle of vineyards, house is slightly old but cozy, the host provided fruit basket, bottle of local MCC and was extremely pleasant
