Everything about the place wonderful!! Walking distance to everything!!! So nice that we didn’t have to park in town!! Well equipped with all we needed. Thanks so much!!!

We were celebrating 2 milestone birthdays in our family of 13. We rented 2 houses in Bar Harbor a few blocks from each other. Eight of us stayed in this 4 bedroom home. It was great. It had a very well stocked kitchen, a gas grill and a gas fire pit with plenty of outdoor seating. There is a full size washer and dryer In the master bathroom on the first floor. Laundry detergent and dryer sheets are supplied as are dishwasher tablets. There is a 3rd bathroom with a shower in the dining room. We almost missed it. It was a handy addition. Very convenient to everything in town.

Wonderful week! We had a group of 8 adults and had plenty of room and were quite comfortable! This is an old house with plenty of charm, but well updated to provide all of the conveniences we would want! The property is a fantastic location and we walked everywhere in Bar Harbor... this was so convenient as parking is difficult during the busy season, and we only had to use our car for the short drives to Acadia! We also enjoyed the nice grill and fire pit, as well as the outdoor games provided!
We definitely plan to return!!

Our family (5 adults, 2 children under 5) enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home. Plenty of indoor and outdoor space for everyone. The location is secluded and walkable to everything in town. So, the best of both worlds. It was a wonderful time!
The house is well stocked and comfortable. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend.
*Note; the Shore path is completely closed due to storm damage but it’s just as easy to walk through town.

The house was just as described. Everything was clean & lots of things supplied. Neighbors very friendly. Location was within walking distance to downtown Bar Harbor.

This home was perfectly located to walk to all the stores, restaurants and bars in Bar Harbor. It was equally well located to go into Acadia multiple times during our stay. All the amenities you need are here for cooking, laundry and playing games. We had a wonderful stay.

This home 2 blocks off Main Street in Bar Harbor and close to Acadia National Park was perfect for our needs. We hiked during the day and spent mornings and evenings in Bar Harbor. The Shore Path was beautiful and very close to the property. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for everyone and extra space in the sitting and living room areas. One suggestion is the Hideaway Lane sign was very difficult to find in the dark when we drove in and the gravel drive had several potholes. I would return to this property if coming back to this area.

We had a fantastic 5 day stay at the end of August. Veena was very responsive prior to our check in and stay. The location was very convenient and it was a short walk to the Main Street restaurants and shops and also the Bar Harbor Shore Path. We were able to be very comfortable traveling with 6 adults and a child with plenty of space for everyone. The kitchen was well equipped to have some meals at home. The outside fire pit was also perfect for sitting outside in the evenings and making s’mores! Would happily stay again.

Quaint, historic, wonderful 4 bedroom home. It was perfect for 4 friends on a getaway. Love the easy access to shoreline path.

This is a completely renovated home in Bar Harbor. Walking distance to a lot of restaurants and local attractions, walking distance to several hiking trails and a very short drive to Acadia NP. Thus avoiding the hassle of trying to park in downtown Bar Harbor. The Island Explorer shuttle was not operating when we visited but the house is walking distance to the shuttle stop. Although located in the heart of town, it is a very quiet and private property. Very clean, spacious and equipped with all the essentials and more. Veena was very responsive. We enjoyed our stay.

I just spent 5 nights in this quaint house with 3 couples for a hiking trip in Acadia. The location was amazing for walking to Bar Harbor for dinner/drinks/shopping, and to watch the sunrise in the mornings. It was easy to travel to our many hikes and sunrise/sunset locations that we had picked out in Acadia. The house was comfortable for 3 couples with multiple sitting areas and everyone having their own bedrooms. The third bathroom was unexpectedly downstairs, so with 3 couples, one of them had to go up and down the stairs in order to use that bathroom as their own. The house had pretty much everything that we needed, but a few conveniences that we would have appreciated to make our stay even better. Overall, the house was really great and I would stay here again.

This house is a wonderful combination of turn on the century elegance and modern convenience. It was perfect for our family.

This property is beautiful and perfectly situated in town, close to all that Bar Harbor has to offer- while still feeling tucked away.
The home was immaculate and communication with the property manager was quick and easy.
The ONLY (easily remedied) two concerns we had: several of the first floor windows didn’t lock and our entry house code didn’t seem individualized (ie., last 4 digits of my phone number, etc). The beauty of being nestled into the woods was tranquil— but with a possibly shared entry code and unlocked first floor windows… we thought it could be a safety issue (tourist town, etc) .
Regardless of those concerns, we had NO issues and the quietness of the private drive kept all foot traffic at least a block or two away from us.
The property is well stocked with anything you might need and gave us a wonderful spot to relax between our endless Bar Harbor and Acadia adventures.!
We were very grateful to have such a serene and comfortable stay and would stay here again!

We were a family of 4 with 2 children (14 and 10) and 2 grandparents. The historic house is situated on a quiet street with easy access to town and one long street away from the scenic Ocean Path. In addition it is a short drive to Acadia. Pros: several rooms for seating, one bedroom on the main level with en suite bath, dining room for 6, deck and outdoor seating. Cons: New kitchen cookware is needed, and storage in main level bedroom is minimal, especially in the bathroom where shelving and hooks would be appreciated. Overall it's a fantastic place!

Family Vacation
This was our fourth trip to MDI and first time staying in Bar Harbor. The property was very comfortable for our family of six. We very much enjoyed the proximity to the shore path, downtown Bar Harbor, and Acadia Cadillac Mtn. entrance. The property also was surprisingly private and we enjoyed many nights by the gas firepit. We would definitely consider using the property for a future family trip.

Lots of space to spread out!
Lovely historic home in walking distance on quiet lane in walking distance to all of BarHarbor. Pro- plenty of room for family of 8. Con- mattresses need replacing, could feel metal springs. Only 2 ac wall units, one in dining room and 2nd in an upstairs bedroom, so warm on hot days if there is no breeze. Only one unaircondioned bedroom downstairs. Very steep staircase. Had children scoot on their bottoms. Grown daughter fell and broke her foot towards end of stay. Luckily house is down the lane from emergency room. Host extremely nice and was quick to get furnace working the day after we got there. Prepare for crazy temp swings. Beginning of stay we had upper 40s at night and end of week had 90 degree days. I would recommend house for late spring or early fall if you are used to air conditioning.

Easy Walk to the Harbor
Just a great home and location! Quick and easy walk to Bar Harbor shore walk and town. Home was very clean and well furnished. Very comfortable beds and a very nice, cozy family room and dining room. The bedroom and its bathroom on the first floor were first rate. The home was exactly as advertised and working with Veena was very easy. The Acadia Park Great Meadows trail head is one mile away and the YMCA approx. ½ mile away. If you enjoy walking and access to the harbor and quick access Acadia National Park this would be your house.

Place great!!
So happy, the place was like the pictures. When it said “just bring yourself” everything was there. Hand soap, dawn, coffee filters, and plenty of towels. Great location! Easy walk to Main Street. Walked though the hospital parking lot and you was on Main Street. Everything was super clean. This place was great!

Magical, cozy home 2 min from beach
We enjoyed the home, especially the outdoor fire pit and 2 minute walk from the beach. It’s gorgeous out there!
Plenty of sitting areas and cookware meant we had a great time playing games, cooking dinner, and lounging. Host was flexible and kind. Extra blankets were provided and all linens/towels were there. Hairdryer was there too. Empty drawer space and closet space for clothing was also available. Home was warm and cozy. Would absolutely recommend this location. Oh, and a 120 plug was available outdoors if you need to get a trickle charge in for your EV.

Great place to stay for the perfect girls trip!
Checked Maine/Bar Harbor off of our bucket list and this property was the perfect home base for our trip! We each had our own bedroom and two of us shared the bathroom upstairs. The property was a VERY easy walk into town (agree cutting through the hospital lot made it quicker) and also easily accessed the shore path. We would walk into town at least twice a day and it was so much better than trying to deal with parking! Easy drive into Acadia as well where we spent a couple days. Veena was extremely easy to communicate with and prompt with her responses. The house was very clean, the wifi worked wonderfully, and we had absolutely no issues during our stay. Would HIGHLY recommend this property to anyone looking for the perfect Bar Harbor experience while mixing in a little quiet getaway as well. Couldn't have asked for a better mix of the two! Thank you!

Acadia adventure
My husband, brother and sister-in-law stayed in the vacation home while visiting Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. The house was very clean, comfortable and well appointed. We loved the easy access to the shore path and Main Street. We were able to walk to restaurants, coffee shops and a grocery store. Acadia National park was very close. The house was beautifully restored and very quiet even while being so close to busy Bar Harbor Maine street.

The hideaway is such a wonderful getaway. It’s close/walkable to everything in town and shore path which is a must. The house is clean, has everything you need including charm, space, yard and patio. Plenty of space to move around in and out and have fun. For our party of 8 it was perfect. We hope to return next year!

Perfect Place!
Great house in an excellent location! The house is tucked away so it is quiet and private. Yet in a few minutes walk you’re in downtown Bar Harbor and the beautiful Ocean Shore Path. Veena was very responsive to any of our questions and needs. It was well equipped - even supplied us with plenty of paper towels and toilet paper etc. There is a grill and firepit. We very much enjoyed sitting at the fire pit almost every evening. Perfect place to stay in Bar Harbor!

Fabulous place in the perfect spot!
We had 5 adults stay for a week. Plenty of room in the house for us all. We didn't even use one of the sitting areas. It is located about 2 blocks off main street and 2 blocks off the shore path. We only used the car when we went into the park for hiking. Then we would come back and walk downtown for a beer and snack, walk back to clean up for dinner and then walk back down town for a meal. Street parking must be paid for so why even take the car? The house was very neat and had anything we needed. Would recommend and stay here again!

Wonderful home!
Charming, historic home in quiet section of town, yet very close to commercial area. Clean, generally well-equipped kitchen, nice sized bedrooms, and 2 of the 3 bathrooms are very large, helpful book on hiking the park. Will definitely stay here again.
