Hotel staff, location, pool
Upgraded our room for my daughter’s birthday but room was in need of repairs. Bath had silicon filler on the rim a large amount . Walls in r bedroom had marks or stains on them. I had asked if I could have a cake or something for my daughter birthday when we arrived we received nothing

Beautiful hotel and a great location!
On the lowest level. Kind of felt like we were going to a dungeon. Had to park in a garage two blocks away.
4.1
Good location, lovely views of the bridge and great breakfast.
If you are planning to charge your EV at this location, it’s important to be mindful that some patrons may occupy the charging spaces for extended periods after they’ve finished charging or may not even use the chargers at all. Additionally, it might be helpful to understand that hotel staff will not provide assistance with these charging concerns, as it falls outside their primary responsibilities. Considering these factors can help set realistic expectations for your visit.

Beautiful hotel in a central location with stunning views. Hotel was clean and breakfast was great. Car park was easily accessed and directly linked to hotel.
Nothing

There is no windows to open the air condition is the only thing you can use the rooms are dated and the facilities inside room very poor the bedding was far too thin and pillows you needed three per person. I have stayed in the county Newcastle and they are a far better facilitated hotel with a lot more to offer for less money I have got to say it’s not worth the price charged

The location
The staff, the quality of bed and pillows as well the service was horrible

Great location.

The view was great and staff were very friendly. The facilities were also very good. Breakfast was excellent.
The first evening meal was awful. I did not eat another evening meal at the hotel. I have a photo and it tasted as bad as it presented.

Reception staff helpful at check in and out
Friendly nothing too much effort
Dining room staff good breakfast good value
Foyer very clean nice seating areas
Nice atmosphere
The room was dated as was the bathroom

Good location.
Bed was really hard and didn’t sleep well.
4.1
Great location , nice size room, beautiful, comfortable bed.
A few things disappointed me during my stay
1. The hotel failed to replenish the complimentary water provided in the room. Either housekeeping were skimping on consumables or this is the hotels policy in Gateshead
2. We asked for 1hr late check-out and the "jobs worth" duty manager made us feel like she was doing a favour by giving only 30minutes despite me getting up to 2 extra hours at other Hilton Hotels as a HH member.
3. One of the kids stained the bedsheets and housekeeping did not replace the bedding and only made the bed. Again, totally unacceptable behaviour for a 5 star hotel where service should be a priority
4. Parking was not complimentary. This was not clearly communicated prior to booking however it's a minor issue compared to the others

Great location, very clean and comfortable room, nice breakfast with great views over the city, good underground car park. Staff friendly and helpful.
Perhaps the usual vanity pack would have been nice?

Pool, Steam room, view, location
Deplorable furniture (See the pics of the chair below. This is too bad for 150 pounds for night, don't you think?)
Second day, no housekeeping came. We had to call and ask to change towels and bin.
The pool was nice, but when I used the dehydrator in female changing room on the first day, a zip of my swimming suit was broken by the machine and I could not swim following days.

Staff were nice enough
Dirty towels folded and put back on shelf like was clean towels and shower curtain had mould. Also tried to cancel few days prior and was told they will still take full payment

Clean room, tea & coffee making facilities, free wifi. Good selection at breakfast

Excellent location, absolutely gorgeous view of the bridges and the river, staff that makes you feel like royalty.
Very dated furniture and facilities, cleaning could have been better.
4.1
The bed was comfortable.
The bathroom has no shelves to put your clothes when you are washing. The disabled access is poor - there are too many heavy fire doors which are impossible to open in a wheelchair you should make them open electronically. The angle of the door is wrong for getting into the bathroom and there’s nowhere to put the towel whilst you are washing.
There are no staff at reception that aren’t doing check in so you have to wait to ask a question.i don’t think your rooms are even as good as Travel Lisge and you charge more.

Didn't go for breakfast
We went for evening meal, not a huge choice however ehen we had finished our meal and were on our way to our room we were called back by waiter who thought we hadn't paid ,I explained we had prepaid, after checking the computer he agreed with us but I was embarrassed to think that we hadn't paid hence didn't go for breakfast incase we got called back again !!!

I didn’t end making breakfast so couldn’t comment
The room had no still water and two lots of sparkling not fridge to keep drinks cool and the small touches such as complimentary biscuits were missing also no hot chocolate choice just tea or coffee

Location. Quality of bed, curtains. Good nights sleep
Shower in room not great. I also think that maybe the breakfasts aren’t as good as they used to be. The meet n greet person at breakfast wasn’t great either, compared to others, pretty miserable!

I have stayed in lots of Hilton hotels including this one before. The standards are very good and very predictable. This hotel delivered a great stay, good staff, excellent parking and no nasty surprises. Very happy to go back yet again.
Can't think of anything.

I’ve stayed here before and was very impressed with it but the recent stay was so disappointing we have another date booked we asked for breakfast included and paid for both rooms with view we had a wall no breakfast and no fridge room was freezing to was constantly loosing signal
No fridge no bridge view tv was constantly loosing signal cold room and was meant to have breakfast included we had our do not disturb sign and room service knocked early so disappointed with our stay this time

By far the best hotel I’ve stayed in. The executive double room genuinely blew us away. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience. 110% will be staying there whenever I’m in Newcastle! Staff deserve a raise because they are doing the Hilton name proud.

Great location and view
All good

The location was great for city centre activities. Just out of town so you miss all the madness of city centre.
Thought for the price per night some more amenities would be available in the room. First quality hotel room I’ve stayed in that doesn’t have water supplied in the room.

Location was good never had the breakfast as it was 15 pound a head and had already payed 1.21.00 for room

The cook made really good poached eggs one day but was inconsistent as the next day it became hard boiled
1) towels fraying and grey
2) bathrobe also not in good condition
3) shower curtain mouldy
4) gym facilities average

The bar and restaurant were clean and the staff were very attentive
The room was a bit dated and there was a picture missing off the wall and there was a patched up part of the wall also. The bathroom wasn’t very well lit to do makeup and there was no shaving mirror.

Excellent breakfast. The staff were all very helpful.
There was no lock on the bathroom door. I would have preferred to have had a lock, but this was just a very minor inconvenience. Otherwise everything was great. Thank you.

In my opinion, Do not mislead by the name of the hotel or the location any other hotel will be my choice for the next trip to Newcastle as the room almost double the amount compared with other hotels and without view and the location of the hotel is like in nowhere as there is not as much coffee shops and restaurants as to the other side of the river.
